The Nanwenquan （South Hot Spring） and Xiao quan （Small Hot Spring） in the Nanwenquan anticline are well-known attraction for their geothermal water, but currently, the two natural hot springs have hot flow naturally. In order to protect the geothermal water resource, the evolution of hydrodynamic field must be researched for the causation of the hydrodynamic field destroyed. The finite element numerical simulation was adopted and quantitative study on the geothermal water hydrodynamic field. The finite element model was set up to simulate the research sites, the simulated water level was compared with the actual water level, the feasibility of this model was proved when the simulated water level is approximate to actual one, and an applicable finite element model was obtained. The finite element model was used to simulate the evolution of the hydrodynamic field. This paper supplies a basis to exploit adequately and protect effectively the geothermal water resource, at the same time it is proved feasible in practice to apply finite element numerical simulation to quantitative study of the geothermal water.

Owing to the scarcity of observation data in the western Tibetan Plateau(TP),the knowledge of precipitation changes over the entire plateau based only on the limited data in eastern TP is not ***,the alternative high-resolution precipitation data of the China Meteorological Forcing Dataset(CMFD)are used for the comprehensive analysis of precipitation changes over the whole TP(including western and northern TP)to fill in the lack of understanding of precipitation in the western *** with observations,CMFD can broadly capture the spatial distributions and identify the temporal variabilities of precipitation over the *** with CMFD data suggested that the annual precipitation over the whole TP did not show a uniform humidification trend in 1979-2018 and featured wetting and drying trends in the northern(NTP)and southern TP(STP),***,the four seasonal regimes of precipitation over the northern TP(NTP,including most areas of western TP)all experienced a noticeable interdecadal shift around the late 1990s,followed by above-normal precip*** for spring,the seasonal precipitation over the southern TP(STP)showed interannual *** precipitation over the STP has undergone moistening since the late 1990s,which was consistent with that over the *** different reanalysis datasets,namely JRA55,MERRA2,ERA5 and CRA40,were used to compare the water vapour budget of each boundary over the *** increase in spring precipitation over the NTP and STP was found to be related to the decrease in water vapour outflow from the north *** interdecadal increase in summer precipitation over the NTP was mainly due to the reduction of outflow from the east ***,the increase in autumn precipitation was related to the increase in inflow from the west boundary.

In late November 2022,most regions in China were hit by a strong northwest-path cold wave,bringing a high-hazard extreme low-temperature event(ELTE).Several parts of Northwest China experienced extremely low temperatures and record-breaking snow depths.A stratosphere-troposphere synergetic effect was suggested to be closely related to the ELTE according to a diagnostic *** the one hand,the concurrent establishment of two blockings in Europe-Northeast Atlantic and North Pacific led to a polar vortex split at the tropopause,and the Arctic Oscillation phase subsequently turned *** airflow with high potential vorticity(PV)was squeezed out of the ***,a high-PV air that originated from the lower stratospheric Arctic was conveyed southwards to the western Siberian Plain along the sloping isentropic *** condition triggered a tropospheric response in which the East Asia trough deepened due to the intensified cyclonic circulation induced by the high-PV *** the other hand,downward propagation of stratospheric anomalies accompanied by stratospheric polar vortex displacement and split was observed in mid-and late November,*** in stratospheric circulation contributed to enhanced blockings over Europe-Northeast Atlantic in the lower stratosphere or upper *** a result,the inverted omega-shaped circulation pattern was formed in the middle to upper troposphere,and it consisted of the intensified East Asia trough and two blockings in the upstream and downstream *** high-PV air upstream of the East Asia trough was advected to China,which directly led to the outbreak of the *** establishment of double blockings and the displacement or split of the stratospheric polar vortex can be efficient signals for cold-event prediction in *** study provides novel insights into the cause of ELTEs under warming climates in the future.

A metal-organic coordination polymer, [Cd（C15H10N4）（C6H8O4）]2n （1, C15H10N4： 2-methyl-pyrazino-[2,3-f][1,10]-phenanthroline （mpphen）, C6H8O4： adipate）, was synthesized via hydrothermal synthesis. The polymer was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction shows that 1 is a cadmium polymer constructed by adipate-bridged dmuclear clusters, and each adipate connects two clusters to form a two-dimen- sional planar structure. Crystal data for 1： monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 22.403（9）, b = 16.039（6）, c = 13.808（6） A, β= 125.262（6）°, V = 4051（3） A3, Mr = 502.79, Dc = 1.649 g/eraa, μ（MoKa） = 1.114 mm^-1, F（000） = 2016, Z = 8, the final R = 0.0509 and wR = 0.1054 for 1509 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））.

High temperature and high humidity pose notable threats to the health and survival of humans,and the impact of compound extreme events involving multiple meteorological elements is usually greater than the sum of the impacts of individual extreme ***,there is limited research on the compound extreme meteorological events,defined based on the extreme of health risks rather than just the extreme of meteoro-logical elements,necessitating further investigation into their characteristics and underlying driving *** daily records of emergency ambulance dispatches from selected Chinese cities,together with daily average temperature and relative humidity data,this study identified and quantified warm-wet compound extreme events with high health risks(HRWWs)that occurred in southern China during *** revealed that HRWWs were most prevalent in the coastal region of southern *** annual frequency of HRWWs across China underwent a marked shift in 2014,with the rapid increase in recent years primarily contributed by the increase in summer HRWWs and advance and extension of the period of occurrence of HRWWs in *** analysis indicated that the changes in HRWWs in southern China during summer were primarily regulated by the EIl Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)of the preceding winter and the springtime Indian Ocean basin-wide(IOBW)*** Nino and Indian Ocean warming force a reverse Walker circulation in the tropical Indian Ocean-western Pacific,strengthening the Philippine anticyclone(PAC)in *** weakens convection in the northwestern Pacific and enables the western Pacific subtropical high to extend westward over coastal areas of southern *** resulting abnormal atmospheric circulation causes prevailing subsidence over southern China,which is unfavorable for precipitation but conducive to maintaining high surface *** reduced precipitation,water vapor flux is increased owing to strengthened southwesterlies

Manufacture the conducting polymer with light

The imidazolecarboxylic compounds have excellent reactivity and physiological activity due to the charateristics of imidazole and carboxylic acid compounds. It attracted our great interest in exploring something deeper in this field. 1,3-bis-(1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid)propane was synthesized from O-phenylenediamine and glutaric acid. The study of p H titration indicated that the deprotonation process of compound included three steps, which was deprotonated in p H range of 0.50-6.40, 7.6-10.79, 11.2-14.00,respectively. The UV-Vis spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy showed that the compound had a selectivity for Cu and Zn over other metal ions such as Cr, Pb, Ag+, Cd, Ni, Mg and Co. The results of human serum albumin(HSA) binding study indicated that the fluorescence intensity of HSA was decreased considerably upon the addition of the compound through a static quenching mechanism.

The asymmetry of the multi-orifice spray will cause uneven heat load of the marine diesel engine,thereby affecting its working performance and service ***,an in-depth understanding of the spray and flame characteristics of multi-orifice nozzles will guide the optimization of the nozzle structure,needle design and diesel atomization and combustion *** this reason,four groups of dual-orifice nozzles with different hole diameters(0.1-0.55 mm) and mass flow rates covering the typical marine medium-speed diesel injections are designed and customized,and the constant volume chamber(CVC) with high temperature and pressure is used to simulate the actual in-cylinder working conditions of the diesel engine for the spray visualization *** study the asymmetry of the fuel sprays discharged from a diesel injector,the multi-orifice nozzle is simplified as a dual-orifice nozzle in this *** with X-ray Computed Tomography(CT) imaging technology,the influences of the nozzle internal structure on the spray and flame asymmetry are studied in the constructed supercritical *** is found that the asymmetry of the inlet angle and the equivalent length-diameter ratio is positively correlated with the inconsistency of the dual *** an increase in the injection pressure and nozzle diameter,the asymmetry of the dual spray becomes more pronounced,resulting in greater disparities in the ignition delay times and ignition positions of the two ***,the increase in nozzle diameter also leads to combustion instability,resulting in a flame with a serrated *** the increase of ambient temperature,the proportion of liquid phase in the jet decreases and the relative density of spray front decreases.

Maximizing biomass utilization: An integrated strategy for coproducing multiple chemicals

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy B, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments（LCAs）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically（USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 kg CO2eq.）. This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.
