Unveiling the performance of a novel alkalizing bacterium Enterobacter ***-2 in immobilization of available Cd

A novel alkalizing strain Enterobacter ***-2 that could resist 400 mg/L Cd was isolated from Cd-contaminated soil,which immobilized 96.05%Cd^(2+)from *** distribution analysis demonstrated that more than half of the Cd^(2+)was converted into extracellular precipitated Cd through mobilization of the alkali-producing mechanism by the strain LYX-2,achieving the high immobilization efficiency of Cd^(2+).Biosorption experiments revealed that strain LYX-2 had superior biosorption capacity of 48.28 mg/g for *** experiments with Brassica rapa *** performed with and without strain *** to control,15.92%bioavailable Cd was converted to non-bioavailable Cd and Cd content in aboveground vegetables was decreased by 37.10%with addition of strain *** Cd was mainly immobilized through extracellular precipitation,cell-surface biosorption and intracellular accumulation of strain LYX-2,which was investigated through Cd distribution,Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS)and Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM)*** addition,the application of strain LYX-2 significantly promoted the growth of vegetables about *** results indicated that highly Cd-resistant alkalizing strain LYX-2,as a novel microbial passivator,had excellent ability and reuse value to achieve the remediation of Cd-contaminated soil coupled with safe production of vegetables simultaneously.

mineral aerosol particles significantly impact environmental risk prediction of liquid crystal monomers(LCMs).In this work,we investigated the reaction mechanisms and kinetics of three typical LCMs(4-cyano-3,5-difluorophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB-2F),4-cyano-3-fluorophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB-F),and 4-cyanophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB))with ozone(O_(3))in the atmospheric gas,liquid,and particle phases employing density functional theory(DFT).Here,O_(3)is prone to add to the benzene ring without F atom(s)in the selected *** ozonolysis products are aldehydes,carboxylic acids,epoxides,and unsaturated hydrocarbons containing aromatic *** products undergo secondary ozonolysis to generate small molecular compounds such as glyoxal,which is beneficial for generating secondary organic aerosol(SOA).Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),an essential component of mineral aerosol particles,has good adsorption properties for LCMs;however,it slightly reduces the reactivity with O_(3).At 298 K,the reaction rate constant of the selected LCMs reacting with O_(3)in the gas and atmospheric liquid phases is(2.74–5.53)×10^(-24)cm^(3)/(mol·sec)and 5.58×10^(-3)–39.1 L/(mol·sec),while CEB-2F reacting with O_(3)on(TiO_(2))_(6)cluster is 1.84×10^(-24)cm^(3)/(mol·sec).The existence of TiO_(2)clusters increases the persistence and long-distance transportability of LCMs,which enlarges the contaminated area of LCMs.

Secular trends of asthma mortality in China and the United States from 1990 to 2019

Objective:Adalimumab(ADA)is expensive and rarely used among ***,its cost for moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis can now be reimbursed since its addition to the National Reimbursement Drug List(NRDL)in January ***,we conducted this study to estimate the medical cost of ADA and its influencing factors in patients with psoriasis using ADA and thus gain a better understanding of the effect of the NRDL adjustment in ***:This retrospective study evaluated the medical cost of ADA before and after the addition of ADA to the NRDL(2018—2022)among 320 patients in a large professional dermatology specialty *** analysis,Welch’s analysis of variance,and multiple regression analysis were used to evaluate the medical cost and influencing ***:Before ADA was added to the NRDL,patients’mean total cost and ADA cost were¥24,243.56±16,346.53 and¥20,391.11±14,440.69,*** ADA became covered by the NRDL,the above 2 expenses decreased to¥10,461.19±7,554.66 and¥8,775.27±7,092.16,*** significant decrease in the cost of ADA resulted in a significant 110.5-times increase in ADA *** significant differences were found in the total cost,patient type(outpatient/inpatient),insurance status(yes/no),reimbursement status(before/after),and *** insurance reimbursement(P<0.001,β=-0.468,before reimbursement=1,after reimbursement=2)was the most significant influencing factor,followed by patient type(P=0.018,β=-0.215,outpatient=1,inpatient=2)and age(P=0.0046,β=-0.174).Conclusion:Medical insurance reimbursement is the most important factor affecting patients’total cost of ADA by reducing the economic burden,enhancing the availability of ADA,and stimulating the need for treatment.
