Powder extrusion, which is based on the superplastic behavior of Zn-22%A1 eutectoid alloy, was proposed to reduce the forming load and promises to provide fine microstructures in the manufacture of miniature helical gears. The specifications of the helical gears were as follows： module, 0.3; number of teeth, 12; and helix angle, 15°. Compacted powders were consolidated by sintering and solution heat treatment. The consolidated billets consisted of lamellar and fine-grained microstructures. Extrusion experiments were carried out under the following conditions： temperature, 250 ℃; strain rates, 2.36× 10-3 s^-1 and 1.18× 10^-1 s-1. The mechanical properties of the extruded helical gears were investigated by measurement of the Vickers hardness and extrusion load, and by scanning electron microscopy.

Transmesenteric hernias have bimodal distribution and occur in both pediatric and adult patients. In the adult population, the cause is iatrogenic, traumatic, or inflammatory. We report a case of transmesocolic hernia in an elderly person without any preoperative history. An 84-year-old Korean female was admitted with midabdominal pain and distension for 1 d. On abdominal computed tomography, we diagnosed transmesocolic hernia with strangulated small bowel obstruction, and performed emergency surgery. The postoperative period was uneventful and she was discharged 11 d after surgery. Hence, it is important to consider the possibility of transmesocolic hernia in elderly patients with signs and symptoms of intestinal obstruction, even in cases with no previous surgery. 2013 Baishideng. Between June 2015 and June 2017,two pressure-recording inverted echo sounders(PIESs)and five current and pressure-recording inverted echo sounders(CPIESs)deployed along a section across the Kerama Gap acquired a dataset of ocean bottom pressure records in which there was significant 21-day variability(Pbot21).The Pbot21,which was particularly strong from July-December 2016,was coherent with wind stress curl(WSC)on the continental shelf of the East China Sea(ECS)with a squared coherence of 0.65 for a 3-day time lag.A barotropic ocean model demonstrated the generation,propagation,and dissipation of *** modeled results show that the Pbot21 driven by coastal ocean WSC in the ECS propagated toward the Ryukyu Island Chain(RIC),while deep ocean WSC could not induce such *** the continental shelf,the Pbot21 was generated nearly synchronously with the WSC from the coastline to the southeast but dissipated within a few days due to the effect of bottom *** detection of Pbot21 by the moored array was dependent on the 21-day WSC patterns on the continental *** Pbot21 driven southeast of the Changjiang Estuary by the WSC was detected while the Pbot21generated northeast of the Changjiang Estuary was not.
