This paper presents a com.rehensive study on the m.del predictive control(m.C)of doubly fed induction generators(DFIG)in wind energy conversion system.(WECS);in particular the m.C of the rotor side converter.The general principle of prevalent m.C strategies is discussed to introduce the theoretical fram.work in the first place.Furtherm.re,m.instream.and high-perform.nce m.C m.thods of DFIGs have been identified as m.del predictive current control(m.CC),m.del predictive torque control(m.TC),and m.del predictive power control(m.PC).Starting from.analyzing dynam.c m.dels,these m.C strategies are investigated in term. of operating principles and technical developm.nts.The paper further investigates im.lem.ntation of m.C strategies in unbalanced grids.Based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of several case studies,perform.nce of various m.C schem.s is com.ared and their special features are identified.Guidelines for designing m.C strategies of DFIGs in WECS are provided.

In this work, we obtain good upper bounds for the diam.ter of any graph in term. of its m.nim.m.degree and its order, im.roving a classical theorem.due to Erdos, Pach, Pollack and Tuza. We use these bounds in order to study hyperbolic graphs （in the Grom.v sense）. To com.ute the hyperbolicity constant is an alm.st intractable problem. thus it is natural to try to bound it in term. of som. param.ters of the graph. Let H（n, δ0） be the set of graphs G with n vertices and m.nim.m.degree 50, and J（n, Δ） be the set of graphs G with n vertices and m.xim.m.degree A. We study the four following extrem.l problem. on graphs： a（n,δ0） = m.n{δ（G）｜ G ∈H（n, δ0）}, b（n, δ0） =- m.x{δ（G）｜ e ∈H（n, δ0）}, α（n, Δ） = m.n{δ（G） [ G ∈ J（n, Δ）} and β（n,Δ） = m.x{δ（G） ] G∈Π（n,Δ）}. In particular, we obtain bounds for b（n, δ0） and we com.ute the precise value of a（n, δ0）, α（n, Δ） and w（n, Δ） for all values of n, r0 and A, respectively.

Hydrogen em.ssion by wood-feeding term.tes, Coptoterm.s form.sanus, Reticuliterm.s flavipes and Reticuliterm.s virginicus, was investigated upon a cellulosic substrate as their food source. The em.ssion rates am.ng the three species tested were significantly different and R. virginicus dem.nstrated the greatest H2 em.ssion at 4.78 ± 0.15μm.l/h/g body weight. In a sealed test apparatus, H2 em.ssion for each term.te species showed a quick increase at the initial incubation hours （3-6 h）, followed by a slower growth, possibly due to the feedback inhibition by gas accum.lation. Further investigation revealed that continuous H2 em.ssion could be m.intained by reducing the H2 partial pressure in the sealed container. The bioconversion of cellulose to m.lecular H2 by the subterranean term.tes tested could reach as high as 3 858 ± 294μm.l/g cellulose, suggesting that the term.te gut system.is unique and efficient in H2 conversion from.cellulosic substrate.

Predicting the properties of two-dim.nsional （2D） m.terials as graphene and hexagonal boron nitride （h-BN） m.nolayers after their growth on any given substrate is a m.jor challenge. While the influence of the electron configuration of the atom. of the underlying surface is well-understood, the effect of substrate geom.try still rem.ins unclear. The structural properties of h-BN m.nolayers grown on a rectangularly packed Rh（110） surface were characterized in situ by ultrahigh vacuum.scanning tunneling m.croscopy and were com.ared to those that this m.terial exhibits when grown on substrates showing different crystallographic orientations. Although the h-BN m.nolayer grown on Rh（110） was dom.nated by a unique quasiunidim.nsional m.ir6 pattern, suggesting considerable interface interaction, the m.ir6 corrugation was unexpectedly sm.ller than those reported for strongly interacting interfaces with hexagonal-term.nated substrates, owing to differences in the possible binding landscapes at interfaces with differently oriented substrates. m.reover, a rule was derived for predicting how interface corrugation and the existence and extent of subregions within m.ir6 supercells containing favorable sites for orbital m.xing between h-BN m.nolayers and their supports depend on substrate sym.etry. These general sym.etry considerations can be applied to num.rous 2D m.terials, including graphene, thereby enabling the prediction of how substrate choice determ.nes the properties of these m.terials. Furtherm.re, they could also provide new routes for tuning 2D m.terial properties and for developing nanotem.lates showing different geom.tries for Krowing adsorbate superlattices.

Gam.a-am.nobutyric acid(GABA)ergic neurons,the m.st abundant inhibitory neurons in the hum.n brain,have been found to be reduced in m.ny neurological disorders,including Alzheim.r's disease and Alzheim.r's disease-related dem.ntia.Our previous study identified the upregulation of m.croRNA-502-3p(m.R-502-3p)and downregulation of GABA type A receptor subunitα-1 in Alzheim.r's disease synapses.This study investigated a new m.lecular relationship between m.R-502-3p and GABAergic synapse function.In vitro studies were perfo rm.d using the m.use hippocam.al neuronal cell line HT22 and m.R-502-3p agom.Rs and antagom.Rs.In silico analysis identified m.ltiple binding sites of m.R-502-3p at GABA type A receptor subunitα-1 m.NA.Luciferase assay confirm.d that m.R-502-3p targets the GABA type A receptor subunitα-1 gene and suppresses the luciferase activity.Furtherm.re,quantitative reve rse transcription-polym.rase chain reaction,m.RNA in situ hybridization,im.unoblotting,and im.unostaining analysis confirm.d that overexpression of m.R-502-3p reduced the GABA type A receptor subunitα-1 level,while suppression of m.R-502-3p increased the level of GABA type A receptor subunitα-1 protein.Notably,as a result of the overexpression of m.R-502-3p,cell viability was found to be reduced,and the population of necrotic cells was found to be increased.The whole cell patch-clam. analysis of hum.n-GABA receptor A-α1/β3/γ2L hum.n em.ryonic kidney(HEK)recom.inant cell line also showed that overexpression of m.R-502-3p reduced the GABA current and overall GABA function,suggesting a negative correlation between m.R-502-3p levels and GABAergic synapse function.Additionally,the levels of proteins associated with Alzheim.r s disease were high with m.R-502-3p overexpression and reduced with m.R-502-3p suppression.The present study provides insight into the m.lecular m.chanism.of regulation of GABAergic synapses by m.R-502-3p.We propose that m.cro-RNA,in particular m.R-502-3p,could be a potential therapeutic to rget to m.dulate GABAergic synapse f

Background Proteom. characterization of the porcine endom.trium.and extraem.ryonic m.m.ranes is im.ortant to understand m.ther-em.ryo cross-com.unication.In this study,the proteom. of the endom.trium.and cho-rioallantoic m.m.rane was characterized in pregnant sows(PS)during early gestation(d 18 and 24 of gestation)and in the endom.trium.of non-pregnant sows(NPS)during the sam. days using LC-m./m. analysis.The UniProtKB database and ClueGO were used to obtain functional Gene Ontology annotations and biological and functional networks,respectively.Results Our analysis yielded 3,254 and 3,457 proteins identified in the endom.trium.of PS and NPS,respectively;of these,1,753 being com.on while 1,501 and 1,704 were exclusive to PS and NPS,respectively.In addition,we iden-tified 3,968 proteins in the extraem.ryonic m.m.ranes of PS.Further analyses of function revealed som. proteins had relevance for the im.une system.process and biological adhesion in endom.trium.while the em.ryonic chorion displayed abundance of proteins related to cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization,suggesting they dom.nated the m.m.nt of endom.trial rem.deling,im.lantation and adhesion of the lining epithelia.Data are available via Pro-teom.Xchange with identifier PXD042565.Conclusion This is the first in-depth proteom.c characterization of the endom.trium.and extraem.ryonic m.m.branes during weeks 3 to 4 of gestation;data that contribute to the m.lecular understanding of the dynam.c environ-m.nt during this critical period,associated with the m.jority of pregnancy losses.

BACKGROUND Sodium.glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors(SGLT-2i)are a class of drugs with m.dest antidiabetic efficacy,weight loss effect,and cardiovascular benefits as proven by m.ltiple random.sed controlled trials(RCTs).However,real-world data on the com.arative efficacy and safety of individual SGLT-2i m.dications is sparse.AIm.To study the com.arative efficacy and safety of SGLT-2i using real-world clinical data.m.THODS We evaluated the com.arative efficacy data of 3 SGLT-2i drugs(dapagliflozin,canagliflozin,and em.agliflozin)used for treating patients with type 2 diabetes m.llitus.Data on the reduction of glycated hem.globin(HbA1c),body weight,blood pressure(BP),urine album.n creatinine ratio(ACR),and adverse effects were recorded retrospectively.RESULTS Data from.467 patients with a m.dian age of 64(14.8)years,294(62.96%)m.les and 375(80.5%)Caucasians were analysed.m.dian diabetes duration was 16.0(9.0)years,and the duration of SGLT-2i use was 3.6(2.1)years.SGLT-2i m.lecules used were dapagliflozin 10 m.(n=227;48.6%),canagliflozin 300 m.(n=160;34.3%),and em.agliflozin 25 m.(n=80;17.1).Baseline m.dian(interquartile range)HbA1c in m.ol/m.l were:dapagliflozin-78.0(25.3),canagliflozin-80.0(25.5),and em.agliflozin-75.0(23.5)respectively.The respective m.dian HbA1c reduction at 12 m.nths and the latest review(just prior to the study)were:66.5(22.8)&69.0(24.0),67.0(16.3)&66.0(28.0),and 67.0(22.5)&66.5(25.8)respectively(Pm.arisons from.baseline).Significant im.rovem.nts in body weight(in kilogram.)from.baseline to study end were noticed with dapagliflozin-101(29.5)to 92.2(25.6),and canagliflozin 100(28.3)to 95.3(27.5)only.Significant reductions in m.dian systolic and diastolic BP,from.144(21)m.Hg to 139(23)m.Hg;(P=0.015),and from.82(16)m.Hg to 78(19)m.Hg;(Pm.croalbum.nuria was observed with canagliflozin only[ACR 14.6(42.6)at baseline to 8.9(23.7)at the study end;P=0.043].Adverse effects of SGLT-2i were as follows:genital thrush and ur

Background In beef cattle, m.re than 50% of the energy input to produce a unit of beef is consum.d by the fem.le that produced the calf. Developm.nt of genom.c tools to identify fem.les with high genetic m.rit for reproductive function could increase the profitability and sustainability of beef production.Results Genom.-wide association studies(GWAS) were perform.d using a single-step genom.c best linear unbiased prediction approach on pregnancy outcom. traits from.a population of Angus–Brahm.n crossbred heifers. Furtherm.re, a validation GWAS was perform.d using data from.another farm. Heifers were genotyped with the Bovine GGP F250 array that contains 221,077 SNPs. In the discovery population, heifers were bred in winter breeding seasons involving a single round of tim.d artificial insem.nation(AI) followed by natural m.ting for 3 m.nths. Two phenotypes were analyzed: pregnancy outcom. to first-service AI(PAI;n = 1,481) and pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season(PEBS;n = 1,725). The heritability was estim.ted as 0.149 and 0.122 for PAI and PEBS, respectively. In the PAI m.del, one quantitative trait locus(QTL), located between 52.3 and 52.5 m. on BTA7, explained about 3% of the genetic variation, in a region containing a cluster of γ-protocadherin genes and SLC25A2. Other QTLs explaining between 0.5% and 1% of the genetic variation were found on BTA12 and 25. In the PEBS m.del, a large QTL on BTA7 was synonym.us with the QTL for PAI, with m.nor QTLs located on BTA5, 9, 10, 11, 19, and 20. The validation population for pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season were Angus–Brahm.n crossbred heifers bred by natural m.ting. In concordance with the discovery population, the large QTL on BTA7 and QTLs on BTA10 and 12 were identified.Conclusions In sum.ary, QTLs and candidate SNPs identified were associated with pregnancy outcom.s in beef heifers, including a large QTL associated with a group of protocadherin genes.
