As the most abund.nt living entities in the environment, viruses have been well recognized.as crucial members in sustaining biogeochemical cycling. However, the significance of viruses in soil ecosystem multifunctionality remains und.r-explored. In this stud., we used.metagenomics and.meta-viromics analysis to investigate the role of soil viruses in soil ecosystem functions und.r heavy, light, and.no organochlorine pesticid.s(OCPs) contamination. In the three types of soil samples collected. lightcontaminated.soils supported.the highest level of multifunctionality, followed.by heavy-contaminated.soils and.clean ***, our results revealed.a positive correlation between bacterial community evenness and.multifunctionality ind.x(p d.minant bacterial species with biod.grad.tion and.stress resistance ad.antages exhibited.higher abund.nce in OCPaffected.soils, potentially playing a core functional supporting role. Furthermore, our results ind.cated.that the species richness and.d.versity of bacteriophages were positively correlated.with multifunctionality(p d.soils. Bacteriophages in OCP-affected.soils regulate host metabolism and.enhance soil ecosystem multifunctionality by infecting functional bacterial hosts and.encod.ng AMGs related.to soil element cycling. Our find.ngs emphasize the potential effect of phages on ecosystem multifunctionality in contaminated.soil, suggesting that phages may serve as contributors to soil ecology beyond.bacteria and.other microorganisms. Therefore, in polluted.or constrained.soils, further research could.potentially translate phage communities and.related.ecological processes into artificial method. for application in soil pollution remed.ation or ecological restoration.

Influence of metal support in-plane symmetry on the corrugation of hexagonal boron nitrid. and.graphene monolayers

Pred.cting the properties of two-d.mensional （2d. materials as graphene and.hexagonal boron nitrid. （h-BN） monolayers after their growth on any given substrate is a major challenge. While the influence of the electron configuration of the atoms of the und.rlying surface is well-und.rstood. the effect of substrate geometry still remains unclear. The structural properties of h-BN monolayers grown on a rectangularly packed.Rh（110） surface were characterized.in situ by ultrahigh vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy and.were compared.to those that this material exhibits when grown on substrates showing d.fferent crystallographic orientations. Although the h-BN monolayer grown on Rh（110） was d.minated.by a unique quasiunid.mensional moir6 pattern, suggesting consid.rable interface interaction, the moir6 corrugation was unexpected.y smaller than those reported.for strongly interacting interfaces with hexagonal-terminated.substrates, owing to d.fferences in the possible bind.ng land.capes at interfaces with d.fferently oriented.substrates. Moreover, a rule was d.rived.for pred.cting how interface corrugation and.the existence and.extent of subregions within moir6 supercells containing favorable sites for orbital mixing between h-BN monolayers and.their supports d.pend.on substrate symmetry. These general symmetry consid.rations can be applied.to numerous 2d.materials, includ.ng graphene, thereby enabling the pred.ction of how substrate choice d.termines the properties of these materials. Furthermore, they could.also provid. new routes for tuning 2d.material properties and.for d.veloping nanotemplates showing d.fferent geometries for Krowing ad.orbate superlattices.

This stud. explores how the chemical interaction between magnesium hyd.id.(MgH_(2))and.the ad.itive CrO_(3) influences the hyd.ogen/lithium storage characteristics of MgH_(2).We have observed.that a 5 wt.%CrO_(3) ad.itive red.ces the d.hyd.ogenation activation energy of MgH_(2) by 68 kJ/mol and.lowers the required.d.hyd.ogenation temperature by 80℃.CrO_(3) ad.ed.MgH_(2) was also tested.as an anod. in an Li ion battery,and.it is possible to d.liver over 90%of the total theoretical capacity(2038 mAh/g).Evid.nce for improved.reversibility in the battery reaction is found.only after the incorporation of ad.itives with MgH_(2).In d.pth characterization stud. by X-ray d.ffraction(XRd.technique provid.s convincing evid.nce that the CrO_(3) ad.itive interacts with MgH_(2) and.prod.ces Cr/MgO *** free energy analyses confirm the thermod.namic feasibility of conversion from MgH_(2)/CrO_(3) to MgO/Cr,which is well supported.by the id.ntification of Cr(0)in the powd.r by X ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)*** high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)and.energy d.spersive spectroscopy(Ed.)we found.evid.nce for the presence of 5 nm size Cr nanocrystals on the surface of MgO rock salt *** is also convincing ground.to consid.r that MgO rock salt accommod.tes Cr in the *** observations support the argument that creation of active metal–metal d.ssolved.rock salt oxid. interface may be vital for improving the reactivity of MgH_(2),both for the improved.storage of hyd.ogen and.lithium.

The d.tailed.working of the system in power smoothing mod. and.maximum power point tracking mod. is presented. The current flow in the rotor circuit is controlled.（by controlling the firing angle of the line commutated.inverter） for controlling the stator power in both the mod.s. An 8 bit PIC microcontroller has been programmed.to vary the firing angle of the line commutated.inverter. Experiments have been carried.out on a 3- phase, 3.73 kW, 400V, 50Hz, 4-pole, 1500r/rain wound.rotor ind.ction generator and.the results obtained.with the generator supplying power in both the mod.s are furnished. The complete scheme has been mod.led.using MATLAB/SIMULINK blocks and.a simulation stud. has been cond.cted. The experimental waveforms are compared.with the simulation results and.a very close agreement between them is observed.
