Recent studies highlight the strong correlation between infectious diseases and the development of neuropsychiatric *** this editorial,we comment on the article“Anti-infective therapy durations predict psychological stress and laparoscopic surgery quality in pelvic abscess patients”by Zhang et al,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Psychiatry 2023;13(11):*** discussion highlighted the potential consequences of anxiety,depression,and psychosis,which are all linked to bacterial,fungal,and viral infections,which are relevant to the impact of inflammation on the sequelae in mental health as those we are observing after the coronavirus disease 2019 *** focus specifically on the immune mechanisms triggered by inflammation,the primary contributor to psychiatric ***,pathophysiological mechanisms such as organ dam.ge,post-injury inflammation,and infectioninduced endocrine alterations,including hypocortisolism or autoantibody formation,significantly contribute to the development of chronic low-grade inflammation,promoting the emergence or development of psychiatric alterations in susceptible *** inflammation can have long-term effects on patients,a multidisciplinary treatment plan can avoid complications and debilitating health issues,and it is crucial to recognize and address the mental health implications.

我国致密油气储层勘探前景广阔,开采价值高,但其储层岩石具有低孔、低渗、强非均质性等特征,建立储层波响应与岩石物性参数之间的联系仍面临挑战,针对致密储层波响应规律的研究有待深入开展。孔隙流体性质及围压会影响岩石的剪切模量及横波衰减,本文对部分饱和的8块致密岩石在不同围压条件下开展了超声波实验观测,采用谱比法估算岩石的横波衰减。结果显示,横波衰减随围压上升而下降,且饱水岩石的横波衰减大于饱油,饱气状态衰减最弱。气、水部分饱和岩石的测量结果中,岩石样本的横波衰减在中间含水饱和度达到峰值,此外,横波衰减随孔隙度、渗透率上升均有增大的趋势。基于实验测量的岩石物性参数,结合Voigt-Reuss-Hill(VRH)平均、微分等效介质模型和喷射流模型构建了致密岩石衰减模型,分析了不同围压条件下含流体岩石的衰减特征,结果显示,该模型可合理描述横波衰减特征。在完全饱和与部分饱和条件下,模型预测的横波衰减显示出明显的压力及流体敏感性。以样本TS1-19为例,在完全饱和、变围压条件下,模型预测的横波衰减峰值在11.6~69.5范围内,衰减峰值随着围压增大而降低,且峰值频率有向高频端移动的趋势。在部分饱和、围压30mPa条件下,模型预测的横波衰减峰值在15.5~39.8范围内,衰减峰值随着含水饱和度增大而增大,且峰值频率向低频端移动。对于所有样本,以30mPa围压为例,所预测的横波衰减在5.6~38.6范围内,其中在饱和条件下,模型预测横波衰减随着孔隙度增大而增大,随着围压增大而减小;在气水部分饱和条件下,随着含水饱和度的增大,基于模型及Voigt和Reuss边界法预测的横波衰减整体呈增大的趋势,而实验观测到的横波衰减在中间饱和度达到极大值。

Current approaches for simulating the energy performance of buildings on a large scale are limited by numerous assumptions and simplifications,which can lead to inaccurate *** new tools and procedures are emerging to improve accuracy,there remains a need for more user-friendly *** study proposes a new tool based on online maps to create the geometry of districts in a simple *** tool also enables an automatic evaluation of all buildings through dynamic hourly simulations,using a building simulation software and allowing to consider different weather *** illustrate the procedure,a district at risk of energy poverty in Seville(Spain)is modeled,where hourly temperature data for a whole year are available to demonstrate the need for building *** tool is used to evaluate the energy demands of the district under several retrofitting alternatives,and free-floating simulations are also performed to evaluate the improvement of thermal comfort without air-conditioning *** aim is not to discuss the actual values for this particular case,but rather to identify the correct direction for large-scale studies,so as to make them more easily ***,it may be concluded that the results provided by comprehensive tools,such as the one proposed in this study,enable easy yet accurate evaluations of buildings on a large scale with significant time savings,as well as the identification of locations where retrofitting interventions would have the greatest impact.

Rainfall Sensitivity to microphysics and Planetary Boundary Layer Parameterizations in Convection-Permitting Simulations over Northwestern South America

Convection-permitting modeling allows us to understand mechanisms that influence rainfall in specific ***,microphysics parameterization(mP) and planetary boundary layer(PBL) schemes remain an important source of uncertainty,affecting rainfall intensity,occurrence,duration,and ***,we study the sensitivity of rainfall to three mP [Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) Single-moment 6-class(WSm6),Thompson,and morrison] and two PBL [the Yonsei University(YSU) and mellor–Yamada Nakanishi Niino(mYNN)] schemes with a convection-permitting resolution(4 km) over northwestern South America(NWSA).Simulations were performed by using the WRF model and the results were evaluated against soundings,rain gauges,and satellite data,considering the spatio-temporal variability of rainfall over diverse regions prone to deep convection in *** and PBL schemes largely influenced simulated rainfall,with better results for the less computationally expensive WSm6 mP and YSU PBL *** rain gauges and satellite estimates,simulations with morrison mP overestimated rainfall,especially westward of the Andes,whereas the mYNN PBL underestimated precipitation in the Amazon–Savannas *** found that the uncertainty in the rainfall representation is highly dependent on the region,with a higher influence of mP in the Colombian Pacific and PBL in the Amazon–Savannas *** analyzing rainfall-related processes,the selection of both mP and PBL parameterizations exerted a large influence on the simulated lower tropospheric moisture flux and moisture *** schemes significantly influenced the downward shortwave radiation,with mYNN simulating a greater amount of low clouds,which decreased the radiation ***,latent heat fluxes were greater for YSU,favoring moist convection and *** schemes had a marked impact on vertical ***,morrison mP showed stronger convection and higher precipitation rates,which is assoc

The shale oil reservoir within the Yanchang Formations of Ordos Basin harbors substantial oil and gas resources and has recently emerged as the primary focus of unconventional oil and gas exploration and *** to its complex pore and throat structure,pronounced heterogeneity,and tight reservoir characteristics,the techniques for conventional oil and gas exploration and production face challenges in comprehensive implementation,also indicating that as a vital parameter for evaluating the physical properties of a reservoir,permeability cannot be effectively *** study selects 21 tight sandstone samples from the Q area within the shale oil formations of Ordos *** systematically conduct the experiments to measure porosity,permeability,ultrasonic wave velocities,and resistivity at varying confining *** reveal that these measurements exhibit nonlinear changes in response to effective *** using these experimental data and effective medium model,empirical relationships between P-and S-wave velocities,permeability and resistivity and effective pressure are established at logging and seismic ***,relationships between P-wave impedance and permeability,and resistivity and permeability are determined.A comparison between the predicted permeability and logging data demonstrates that the impedance–permeability relationship yields better results in contrast to those of resistivity–permeability *** relationships are further applied to the seismic interpretation of shale oil reservoir in the target layer,enabling the permeability profile predictions based on inverse P-wave *** predicted results are evaluated with actual production data,revealing a better agreement between predicted results and logging data and productivity.

mETA-R(multi-environment trial analysis in R)is a suite of R scripts linked by a graphical user interface(gUI)designed in Java *** objective of mETA-R is to accurately analyze multi-environment plant breeding trials(mETs)by fitting mixed and fixed linear models from experimental designs such as the randomized complete block design(RCBD)and the alpha-lattice/lattice ***-R simultaneously estimates the best linear and unbiased estimators(BLUEs)and the best linear and unbiased predictors(BLUPs).Additionally,it computes the variance-covariance parameters,as well as some statistical and genetic parameters such as the least significant difference(LSD)at 5%significance,the coefficient of variation in percentage(CV),the genetic variance,and the broad-sense *** parameters are very important in the selection of top performing genotypes in plant ***-R also computes the phenotypic and genetic correlations among environments and between traits,as well as their statistical *** genetic correlations between environments or traits can be visualized in a biplot graph or a tree diagram(dendrogram).genetic correlations are very important for identifying environments with similar behavior or making indirect selection and identifying the most highly associated ***-R performs multi-environment analyses by using the residual maximum likelihood(REmL)method;these analyses can be done by environment,across environments by grouping factors(stress conditions,nitrogen content,etc.)and across environments;the analyses across environments can be done with a pre-defined degree of heritability.

Rechargeable sodium metal batteries constitute a cost-effective option for energy storage although sodium shows some drawbacks in terms of reactivity with organic solvents and dendritic *** we demonstrate that an organic dye,indanthrone blue,behaves as an efficient cathode material for the development of secondary sodium metal batteries when combined with novel inorganic *** electrolytes are ammonia solvates,known as liquid ammoniates,which can be formulated as NaI·3.3NH_(3) and NaBF_(4)·2.5NH_(3).They impart excellent stability to sodium metal,and they favor sodium non-dendritic growth linked to their exceedingly high sodium ion *** advantage is complemented by a high specific *** battery described here can last hundreds of cycles at 10 C while keeping a Coulombic efficiency of 99%from the first *** of the high capacity of the cathode and the superior physicochemical properties of the electrolytes,the battery can reach a specific energy value as high as 210 W h kgIB^(-1),and a high specific power of 2.2 kW kgIB^(-1),even at below room temperature(4℃).Importantly,the battery is based on abundant and cost-effective materials,bearing promise for its application in large-scale energy storage.
