As Public Transport(PT)becomes more dynamic and demand-responsive,it increasingly depends on predictions of transport *** how accurate need such predictions be for effective PT operation?We address this question through an experimental case study of PT trips in Metropolitan copenhagen,Denmark,which we conduct independently of any specific prediction ***,we simulate errors in demand prediction through unbiased noise distributions that vary considerably in *** the noisy predictions,we then simulate and optimize demand-responsive PT fleets via a linear programming formulation and measure their *** results suggest that the optimized performance is mainly affected by the skew of the noise distribution and the presence of infrequently large prediction *** particular,the optimized performance can improve under non-Gaussian *** *** also find that dynamic routing could reduce trip time by at least 23%*** *** reduction is estimated at 809,000€/year in terms of Value of Travel Time Savings for the case study.

Our previous studies have reported that activation of the NLRP3(NOD-,LRR-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3)-inflammasome complex in ethanol-treated astrocytes and chronic alcohol-fed mice could be associated with neuroinflammation and brain *** stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles(MSc-EVs)have been shown to restore the neuroinflammatory response,along with myelin and synaptic structural alterations in the prefrontal cortex,and alleviate cognitive and memory dysfunctions induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** the therapeutic role of the molecules contained in mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles,the present study analyzed whether the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles isolated from adipose tissue,which inhibited the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome,was capable of reducing hippocampal neuroinflammation in adolescent mice treated with binge *** demonstrated that the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles ameliorated the activation of the hippocampal NLRP3 inflammasome complex and other NLRs inflammasomes(e.g.,pyrin domain-containing 1,caspase recruitment domain-containing 4,and absent in melanoma 2,as well as the alterations in inflammatory genes(interleukin-1β,interleukin-18,inducible nitric oxide synthase,nuclear factor-kappa B,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,and c–X3–c motif chemokine ligand 1)and miRNAs(miR-21a-5p,miR-146a-5p,and miR-141-5p)induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** analysis further revealed the involvement of miR-21a-5p and miR-146a-5p with inflammatory target genes and NOD-like receptor signaling *** together,these findings provide novel evidence of the therapeutic potential of MSc-derived EVs to ameliorate the hippocampal neuroinflammatory response associated with NLRP3 inflammasome activation induced by binge drinking in adolescence.

Eremanthus erythropappus(Dc.)MacLeish is an important forest species native to the Brazilian savanna biome,an environment with well-defined rainy and dry *** seeds are desiccation tolerant,non-dormant and dispersed at the end of dry *** exposes them to the first sporadic rains that can trigger germination but the subsequent dry days can compromise survival of the newly germinated *** study evaluates if the damages caused by drying of germinating *** seeds,at the stage when they have lost desiccation tolerance,are *** percentage of normal seedlings was evaluated when seeds with different imbibition times were dried to their initial water content and then pre-humidified and *** tolerance was fully lost after 0.5 mm of hypocotyl-radicle protrusion(approximately 72 h)when the radicle had root hairs,a possible indicator of sensitivity to *** of cell contents and ultrastructural damage to the seeds subjected to drying were observed by electron scanning *** hairs disappeared after drying,reappearing after pre-humidification,possibly an attempt to increase the surface area of the radicle for water ***,the hypocotylradicle axis became darkened,probably by antioxidant system failure,causing seed death.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is an indolent extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, originating in acquired MALT that is induced in mucosal barriers as part of a normal adaptive immune response to a chronic immunoinflammatory stimulus, most notably chronic infection by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). This antigenic stimulation initially leads to lymphoid hyperplasia; the acquisition of additional genetic aberrations culminates in the activation of intracellular survival pathways, with disease progression due to proliferation and resistance to apoptosis, and the emergence of a malignant clone. There are descriptions of MALT lymphomas affecting practically every organ and system, with a marked geographic variability partially attributable to the epidemiology of the underlying risk factors; nevertheless, the digestive system (and predominantly the stomach) is the most frequently involved location, reflecting the gastrointestinal tract’s unique characteristics of contact with foreign antigens, high mucosal permeability, large extension and intrinsic lymphoid system. While early-stage gastric MALT lymphoma can frequently regress after the therapeutic reversal of the chronic immune stimulus through antibiotic eradication of H. pylori infection, the presence of immortalizing genetic abnormalities, of advanced disease or of eradication-refractoriness requires a more aggressive approach which is, presently, not consensual. The fact that MALT lymphomas are rare neoplasms, with a worldwide incidence of 1-1.5 cases per 105 population, per year, limits the ease of accrual of representative series of patients for robust clinical trials that could sustain informed evidence-based therapeutic decisions to optimize the quality of patient care.

This study investigates the need for credit supervision as conducted by on-site banking *** builds on a real bank on-site credit examination to compare the performance of a hypothetical self-supervision approach,in which banks themselves assess their loan portfolios without external intervention,with the on-site banking supervision approach of the central Bank of *** experiment develops two machine learning classification models:the first model is based on good and bad ratings informed by banks,and the second model is based on past on-site credit portfolio examinations conducted by banking *** findings show that the overall performance of the on-site supervision approach is consistently higher than the performance of the self-supervision approach,justifying the need for on-site credit portfolio examination as conducted by the central Bank.

Sorption has been proposed as a promising approach towards a sustainable water decontamination and recently to the recycling of rare earth elements(REE).Although living seaweed have been shown to be capable of removing REE from contaminated solutions,no studies have yet compared the effects of REE competition on sorption onto different groups of *** effects were analysed in the present study by exposing six living seaweeds(Ulva lactuca,Ulva intestinalis,Fucus spiralis,Fucus vesiculosus,Gracilaria *** Osmundea pinnatifida)(3 g/L,fresh weight) to mono-element and multi-element solutions of Y,La,ce,Pr,Nd,Eu,Gd,Tb and Dy(1 μmol/L).Results show a preference towards light REE in mono-element solutions,which is reduced when in competition with other *** competitive effect is less pronounced in heavy REE indicating that these are still able to bind to the macroalgae despite the presence of competing *** to water content(%),seaweed specific surface area(cm^(2)/g) shows to be an important factor in the sorption of REE,since larger surface area is associated with higher removal and larger competitive effect.

Olfactory ensheathing glia promote axonal regeneration in the mammalian central nervous system,including retinal ganglion cell axonal growth through the injured optic ***,it is unknown whether olfactory ensheathing glia also have neuroprotective *** ensheathing glia express brain-derived neurotrophic factor,one of the best neuroprotectants for axotomized retinal ganglion ***,we aimed to investigate the neuroprotective capacity of olfactory ensheating glia after optic nerve *** ensheathing glia cells from an established rat immortalized clonal cell line,TEG3,were intravitreally injected in intact and axotomized retinas in syngeneic and allogeneic mode with or without microglial inhibition or immunosuppressive *** and gene expression analyses were *** bulb-derived primary olfactory ensheathing glia and TEG3 express major histocompatibility complex classⅡ*** and syngenically transplanted TEG3 cells survived in the vitreous for up to 21 days,forming an *** axotomized retinas,only the allogeneic TEG3 transplant rescued retinal ganglion cells at 7 days but not at 21 *** these retinas,microglial anatomical activation was higher than after optic nerve crush *** intact retinas,both transplants activated microglial cells and caused retinal ganglion cell death at 21 days,a loss that was higher after allotransplantation,triggered by pyroptosis and partially rescued by microglial inhibition or ***,neuroprotection of axotomized retinal ganglion cells did not improve with these *** different neuroprotective properties,different toxic effects,and different responses to microglial inhibitory treatments of olfactory ensheathing glia in the retina depending on the type of transplant highlight the importance of thorough preclinical studies to explore these variables.
