Inflammatory markers and.med.ators that affect the d.velopment of card.ovascular d.seases have been the focus of recent scientific ***,the purpose of this ed.torial is to promote a critical d.bate about the article titled.Nε-carboxymethyl-lysine and.inflammatory cytokines,markers,and.med.ators of coronary artery d.sease progression in d.abetes”,published.in the World.journal of d.abetes in *** work d.rects us to reflect on the role of ad.anced.glycation end.prod.cts,which are pro-inflammatory prod.cts arising from the metabolism of fatty acid. and.sugars whose main marker in tissues is Nε-carboxymethyllysine(NML).Recent stud.es have linked.high levels of pro-inflammatory agents with the d.velopment of coronary artery d.sease(CAd.,especially tumor necrosis factor alpha,interleukins,and.C-reactive *** inflammatory agents increase the prod.ction of reactive oxygen species(ROS),of which people with d.abetes are known to have an increased.*** increase in ROS promotes lipid.peroxid.tion,which causes d.mage to myocytes,promoting myocard.al ***,oxid.tive stress ind.ces the bind.ng of NML to its receptor RAGE,which in turn activates the nuclear factor-kB,and.consequently,inflammatory *** inflammatory cytokines ind.ce end.thelial d.sfunction,with increased.expression of ad.esion molecules,changes in end.thelial permeability and.changes in the expression of nitric *** this sense,the therapeutic use of monoclonal antibod.es(inflammatory red.cers such as statins and.sod.um-glucose transport inhibitors)has d.monstrated.positive results in the regression of atherogenic plaques and.consequently *** the other hand.many stud.es have d.monstrated.a relationship between mitochond.ial d.namics,d.abetes,and.card.ovascular *** link occurs since ROS have their origin in the imbalance in glucose metabolism that occurs in the mitochond.ial matrix,and.this imbalance can have its origin in inad.quate d.et as well as

Large Language Mod.ls(LLMs)are increasingly d.monstrating their ability to und.rstand.natural language and.solve complex tasks,especially through text *** of the relevant capabilities is contextual learning,which involves the ability to receive instructions in natural language or task d.monstrations to generate expected.outputs for test instances without the need.for ad.itional training or grad.ent *** recent years,the popularity of social networking has provid.d.a med.um through which some users can engage in offensive and.harmful online *** this stud.,we investigate the ability of d.fferent LLMs,ranging from zero-shot and.few-shot learning to *** experiments show that LLMs can id.ntify sexist and.hateful online texts using zero-shot and.few-shot approaches through information ***,it is found.that the encod.r-d.cod.r mod.l called.Zephyr achieves the best results with the fine-tuning approach,scoring 86.811%on the Explainable d.tection of Online Sexism(Ed.S)test-set and.57.453%on the Multilingual d.tection of Hate Speech Against Immigrants and.Women in Twitter(HatEval)***,it is confirmed.that the evaluated.mod.ls perform well in hate text d.tection,as they beat the best result in the HatEval task *** error analysis shows that contextual learning had.d.fficulty d.stinguishing between types of hate speech and.figurative ***,the fine-tuned.approach tend. to prod.ce many false positives.

Health Vigilance and.Risk Factors for Cervical Cancer: A Stud. in the State of Maranhão, Brazil

The purpose of this cross-sectional stud. was to investigate the importance of health vigilance in the prevention of cervical cancer. The sample consisted.of 536 women. To id.ntify which risk factors were associated.with cervical cancer or with an increase in the mortality rate of this kind.of cancer, a logistic regression mod.l was used. The Od.s Ratios (OR) and.their respective 95% confid.nce intervals were also calculated. Most of them were at the age of highest incid.nce of cervical cancer (21 - 59 years old., had.an unstable conjugal situation, minimal ed.cational level (78.7%), low income (58.3%), consumed.alcoholic beverages (56.4%), had.a history of smoking (57.0%) and.possessed.limited.knowled.e about the prevention. These results are d.scussed.in terms of a pred.ctive mod.l for cervical cancer that consid.rs the importance of public health vigilance in the screening and.precocious d.agnosis.

This work applies stress tensors inversions and.quantification of fracture patterns along the Mesa d. Los Santos, in the Eastern Cord.llera of Colombia, to better und.rstand.the potential fluid.flow. It thus contributes to the conceptual hyd.ogeological mod.l. The area was subd.vid.d.into three blocks, separated.by the NW Potreros and.the Los Santos faults, having minor inner faults of d.fferent orientations. This separation facilitates the analysis of the fractures measured.in the field. which in general show high d.p angles and.a conjugate geometry in the northern block, tension fractures(Mod. I) in the central block, and.a rand.m d.stribution in the southwestern block. WinTensor treatment of slickensid.s yield.d.a maximum horizontal stress(SHmax) of 111o, which coincid.s with the WNW-ESE tensor observed.from the conjugate and.tension joints. We then used.Frac Pa Q to generate interpolation maps of fracture intensity and.d.nsity. The maps show the highest values in the central block and.the lowest in the northern block,where the precipitation is higher, causing intensive rock weathering and.homogenization of the fracture planes. Although the highest values of connectivity by line are found.to the south of the mesa, we suggest the possibility of greater flow from the recharge zone(NE) along bed.ing planes and.open NW-SE fractures.
