Oxida.ive stress induced by a.high a.monia.concentra.ion could modify protein expression in the bra.n. This study wa. underta.en in order to investiga.e the impa.t of hypera.monemia. ca.sed by thioa.etmide (Ta.) in ra.s, on bra.n cortex protein expression using 2D-DIGE, a.d a.a.yzing its role in the pa.hogenesis of HE. Hypera.monemia.wa. induced with Ta.. a.monia.a.d a.tive oxida.ts were mea.ured by L-gluta.a.e dehydrogena.e a.d dichlorodihydrofluorescein dia.eta.e methods, respectively. Lipid peroxida.ion a.d protein oxida.ion bioma.kers were a.so studied. Differentia. protein expression in the cortex of Ta.- a.d control-ra.s wa. studied by 2D-DIGE. Ima.e a.a.ysis wa. performed using the DeCyder? Softwa.e. a.monia.concentra.ion in pla.ma.a.d bra.n tissue wa. higher in Ta.-ra.s compa.ed to control-ra.s, 3.12 a.d 2.43 fold higher, respectively. a.tive oxida.ts production in Ta.-ra.s wa. increa.ed by 2.7 fold compa.ed to control-ra.s. Mea.urements of MDa. HNE a.d ca.bonyl groups, bioma.kers of lipid peroxida.ion a.d protein oxida.ion respectively, were found to be sta.istica.ly significa.tly increa.ed in Ta.-ra.s compa.ed to control-ra.s (3.16-, 2.44- a.d 1.95-fold, respectively), reflecting the presence of oxida.ive stress in the bra.n of Ta.-ra.s. 2D-DIGE a.a.ysis of bra.n cortex protein a.lowed the detection of 2896 spots, however, ima.e a.a.ysis showed no sta.istica.ly significa.t differentia. protein expression between the proteins expressed in Ta.- a.d control-ra.s. No sta.istica. significa.t differentia. protein expression in the cortex of Ta.-ra.s wa. observed, a.though oxida.ive stress bioma.kers for lipid a.d proteins were higher in the bra.n of Ta.-ra.s tha. in control-ra.s. These results support the idea.tha. oxida.ive post-tra.sla.iona. modifica.ions a.e implica.ed in HE physiopa.hology.

The hepa.itis C virus (HCV) induces lipid a.cumula.ion in vitro a.d in vivo. The pa.hogenesis of stea.osis is due to both vira. a.d host fa.tors. Vira. stea.osis is mostly reported in pa.ients with genotype 3a. wherea. meta.bolic stea.osis is often a.socia.ed with genotype 1 a.d meta.olic syndrome. Severa. molecula. mecha.isms responsible for stea.osis ha.e been a.socia.ed with the HCV core protein, which is a.le to induce gene expres-sion a.d a.tivity of sterol regula.ory element binding protein 1 (SREBP1) a.d peroxisome prolifera.or-a.tiva.-ed receptor γ (PPa.γ), increa.ing the tra.scription of genes involved in hepa.ic fa.ty a.id synthesis. Stea.osis ha. been a.so implica.ed in vira. replica.ion. In infected cells, HCV core protein is ta.geted to lipid droplets which serve a. intra.ellula. stora.e orga.elles. These studies ha.e shown tha. lipid droplets a.e essentia. for virus a.sembly. Thus, HCV promotes stea.osis a. a. eff icient mecha.ism for sta.le vira. replica.ion. Chronic HCV in-fection ca. a.so induce insulin resista.ce. In pa.ients with HCV, insulin resista.ce is more strongly a.socia.ed with vira. loa. tha. viscera. obesity. HCV seems to lea. to insulin resista.ce through interference of intra.ellula. insulin signa.ling by HCV proteins, ma.nly, the serine phosphoryla.ion of insulin receptor-1 (IRS-1) a.d im-pa.rment of the downstrea. a.t signa.ling pa.hwa.. The objective wa. to fit a.d propose a.genera.ized H-d model for Pinus montezuma. a.d Pinus pseudostrobus esta.lished in forest pla.ta.ions of Nuevo Sa. Jua. Pa.a.ga.icutiro, Michoa.a., Mexico. Using nonlinea. lea.t squa.es (NLS), 10 genera.ized H-d models were fitted to 883 a.d 1226 pa.rs of H-d da.a.from Pinus montezuma. a.d Pinus pseudostrobus, respectively. The best model wa. refitted with the ma.imum likelihood mixed effects model (MEM) a.proa.h by including the site a. a.cla.sifica.ion va.ia.le a.d a.known va.ia.ce structure. The Wa.g a.d Ta.g equa.ion wa. selected a. the best model with NLS;the MEM with a. a.ditive effect on two of its pa.a.eters a.d a. exponentia. va.ia.ce function improved the fit sta.istics for Pinus montezuma. a.d Pinus pseudostrobus, respectively. The model va.ida.ion showed equa.ity of mea.s a.ong the estima.es for both species a.d a. independent subsa.ple. Role of infla.ma.ory response in liver disea.es: Thera.eutic stra.egies

Most of the infla.ma.ome complexes tha. ha.e been described to da.e conta.n a.NOD-like receptor sensor molecule. Redox sta.e a.d a.topha.y ca. regula.e infla.ma.ome complex a.d, depending on the conditions, ca. be either pro-or a.tia.optotic. a.ute a.d chronic liver disea.es a.e cytokinedriven disea.es a. severa. proinfla.ma.ory cytokines(IL-1α, IL-1β, tumor necrosis fa.tor-a.pha. a.d IL-6) a.e critica.ly involved in infla.ma.ion, stea.osis, fibrosis, a.d ca.cer development. On the other ha.d,higher serum lipid levels ha.e been a.socia.ed with susta.ned vira. response to pegyla.ed interferon a.d riba.irin thera.y in chronic HCV infection,suggesting a.releva.t role in vira. clea.a.ce for host proteins. Host a.d vira. genetic fa.tors pla. a. essentia. role in chronic infection. Lipid meta.olism is hija.ked by vira. infection a.d could determine the success of vira. replica.ion. Recently development of direct a.ting a.tivira. a.ents ha. shown a.very high effica.y(> 90%) in susta.ned vira. response ra.es even for cirrhotic pa.ients a.d most of the vira. genotypes.
