Refractive surgery,both corneal and intraocular,has undergone an explosive evolution during the last 25 *** first excimer laser surgery performed now already over 25 years ago is a historical landmark which started the scientific age of corneal refractive *** that momentous occasion,refractive surgery was a buccaneer procedure that lacked consistent scientific knowledge about the long-term outcomes of the procedures that were practiced(mainly radial and astigmatic keratotomy).In other words,there was a complete lack of objective outcome analysis coupled with almost no perspective on what the future development of this subspecialty was going to hold[1].A classic example of this is Radial Keratotomy,which was extensively performed in europe,the US and Latin America at the end of the 80’s and early 90’*** the PeRK study was able to detect and announce the trend towards hyperopic flattening of these corneas years later when they approached the technique in a systematic way by studying a relatively small number of cases[2-4].

The scope and aim of this work is to describe the two-body interaction mediated by a particle （either the scalar or the gauge boson） within the light-front formulation. To do this, first of all we point out the importance of propagators and Green functions in Quantum Mechanics. Then we project the covariant quantum propagator onto the light front time to get the propagator for scalar particles in these coordinates. This operator propagates the wave function from x＋ = 0 to x＋〉 0. It corresponds to the definition of the time ordering operation in the light front time x＋. We calculate the light-front Green＇s function for 2 interacting bosons propagating forward in x＋. We also show how to write down the light front Green＇s function from the Feynman propagator and finally make a generalization to N bosons.

Methoprene （an analogue of juvenile hormone） application and feeding on a protein diet is known to enhance male melon fly, Bactrocera cucurbitae Coquillett （Diptera： Tephritidae）, mating success. In this study, we investigated the effect of these treatments on male B. cucurbitae＇s ability to inhibit female remating. While 14-d-old females were fed on protein diet, 6-d-old males were exposed to one of the following treatments：（i） topical application of methoprene and fed on a protein diet; （ii） no methoprene but fed on a protein diet; （iii） methoprene and sugar-fed only; and （iv） sugar-fed, 14-d-old males acted as controls. Treatments had no effect on a male＇s ability to depress the female remating receptivity in comparison to the control. Females mated with protein-deprived males showed higher remating receptivity than females first mated with protein-fed males. Methoprene and protein diet interaction had a positive effect on male mating success during the first and second mating of females. Significantly more females first mated with sugar-fed males remated with protein-fed males and females first mated with methoprene treated and protein-fed males were more likely to remate with similarly treated males. Females mating latency （time to start mating） was significantly shorter with protein-fed males, and mating duration was significantly longer with protein-fed males compared with protein-deprived males. These results are discussed in the context of methoprene and/or dietary protein as prerelease treatment of sterile males in area-wide control of melon fly integrating the sterile insect technique （SIT）.

We studied the role that electron gas has on the formation of nuclear structures at subsaturation densities and low temperatures(Te V).Using a classical molecular dynamics model we studied isospin symmetric and asymmetric matter at subsaturation densities and low temperatures varying the Coulomb interaction *** effect of such variation was quantified on the fragment size multiplicity,the inter-particle distance,the isospin content of the clusters,the nucleon mobility and cluster persistence,and on the nuclear structure *** found that the presence of an electron gas distributes matter more evenly,disrupts the formation of larger objects,reduces the isospin content,and modifies the nucleon average displacement,but does not affect the inter-nucleon distance in *** nuclear structures are also found to change shapes by different degrees depending on their isospin content,temperature and density.

Density function theory calculations of frequency-dependent optical rotations [α]ω for three rigid chiral molecules are reported. Calculations have been carried out at the sodium D line frequency, using the ADZP basis set and a wide variety of functionals. Gauge-invariant atomic orbitals are used to guarantee origin-independent values of [ω]D. In addition, study of geometry dependence of [ω]D is reported. Using the geometries optimized at the B3LYP/ADZP level, the mean absolute deviation of B3LYP/ADZP and experimental laiD values yields 60.1°/（dm g/cm^3）. According to our knowledge, this value has not been achieved until now with any other model.
