(CNTs),silicon rubbe. and Ni@TiO_(2):W nanoparticle.(TiWNi NPs) with ave.age.size.of 37±2 *** image. showe. that the.TiWNi NPs de.orate. the.surface.of the.CNT fibe.s,which are.orie.te. in a pre.e.e.tial *** NPs pre.e.te. a mixture.of anatase.rutile.phase. with cubic *** pe.formance.of the.TiWNi powde.s and stre.chable.composite. was e.aluate. for the.photocatalytic de.radation of diclofe.ac (DCF) anti-inflammatory drug unde. ultraviole.-visible.*** re.ults re.e.le. that the.maximum DCF de.radation pe.ce.tage. we.e.34.6%,91.9%,97.1%,98.5%and 100%for the.CNT composite.(stre.che. at 0%),TiWNi powde.s,CNT+TiWNi(stre.che. at 0%),CNT+TiWNi (stre.che. at 50%) and CNT+TiWNi (stre.che. at 100%),***,stre.ching the.CNT+TiWNi composite. was a good strate.y to e.hance.the.DCF de.radation pe.ce.tage.from 97.1%to 100%,since.stre.ching cre.te. additional de.e.ts (oxyge. vacancie.) that acte. as e.e.tron sink,de.aying the.e.e.tron-hole.re.ombination,and favors the.DCF ***/absorbance.me.sure.e.ts confirme. the.pre.e.ce.of such ***,the.re.ctive.oxyge. spe.ie. In a first in man phase.I study, we.now re.ort the.re.ults of the.ape.tic vaccination of non-small ce.l lung cance. (NSCLC) patie.ts with an e.tablishe., alloge.e.c non-small ce.l lung ade.ocarcinoma ce.l line.se.re.ing gp96-Ig. Advance. NSCLC-patie.ts stage.IIIB or IV of any histological subtype.we.e.e.rolle. and tre.te. with up to 36 vaccinations ove. the.course.of 18 we.ks. Primary e.dpoint was safe.y, se.ondary e.dpoints tumor re.ponse.and ove.all survival. Me.sure.e.t of tumor antige. spe.ific CD8 CTL re.ponse. is pre.lude. by the.lack of known NSCLC associate. antige.s. The.e.ore. we.me.sure. patie.t CD8 T ce.l-IFN-γ re.ponse. to allo-antige.s of the.vaccine.ce.ls as surrogate.for tumor antige. spe.ific CD8 CTL. In 7 of 18 tre.te. patie.ts tumor growth was stabilize., howe.e. none.of the.18 patie.ts had an obje.tive.tumor re.ponse.by Re.IST crite.ia. Of 15 patie.ts e.aluable.for immune.re.ponse. 11 re.ponde. to vaccination with more.than twofold incre.se.in CD8-IFN-γ fre.ue.cy above.base.ine. The.e.patie.ts had a me.ian survival time.of 16.5 months. Four patie.ts who had no CD8 re.ponse.above.base.line.had survival time. from 2.1 to 6.7 months. Our data are.consiste.t with the.conce.t that ge.e.ation of CD8 CTL by the.ape.tic vaccination may de.ay tumor growth and progre.sion and me.iate.prolonge. survival e.e. in the.abse.ce.of obje.tive.tumor re.ponse.. Furthe. studie. will be.re.uire. to te.t this conce.t and promising re.ult.
