Traceability systems are key to assuring food safety,creating a benefit for food supply chain ***,the appearance of new technologies such as IoT and Big Data Analysis leads to a new generation of more functional,but complex,traceability *** models based on cooperation of multiple small/medium size agents,for example of small/family farming cooperatives,play an important role in high standard agricultural production and commercialization *** function as both social and economic networks,with high social and economic impact in the rural *** case of Almeria as an example of this model was used to analyze its cooperative *** actual traceability systems in the Almeria model were studied,taking account of the different networked agents and their *** study includes two main parts:a)analysis of the net-chains that constitute the food supply chains and their different relationships,and b)actual *** next step studied how the net-chain model,including many diverse agents,may be applied to develop a new generation of traceability systems based of IoT and Big *** implies extending the special and functional scope of the actual systems and defining clear rules of exchange of the results of the Big Data Analysis,taking account of the adequate Privacy *** work analyses the current organisation as a base for a new generation of traceability systems considered in the European project IoF2020(Internet of the Food and Farm 2020).Some parallels between Almeria’s model and certain areas in China,mainly in the areas of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Shandong were *** of the objectives of this work is to deepen the understanding of these similarities and analyze the possible adaptation of the results from Almeria to China.

Crop growth in greenhouses is basically determined by the climate variables in the environment and by the amounts of water and fertilizers supplied by *** management of these factors depends on the expertise of agricultural technicians and farmers,usually assisted by control systems installed within the *** this context,decision support features enable us to incorporate invaluable human experience so thatwe can take quick and effective decisions to ensure efficient crop *** work describes a real-time decision support system for greenhouse tomatoes that supports decisions at three stages–the supervision stage identifies climate sensor faults,the control stage maintains climate variables at setpoints,and the strategic stage identifies diseases affecting the crop and changes climate variables accordingly to minimize *** DSS was implemented by integrating a real-time rule-based tool into the control *** results show that the system increases climate control effectiveness,while providing support in preventing diseaseswhich are difficult to *** system was tested by simulating the appearance of the disease and observing the real *** main contribution has been to demonstrate that production rules,which aremature and well-known in the artificial intelligence domain,can act as a shared technology for the whole *** means that fault detection,temperature control and disease monitoring features are not dealt with in isolation.

Development and test verification of air temperature model for Chinese solar and Spainish Almeria-type greenhouses

Growth can be defined as an increment in biomass or an increment in weight or height of the organs of the plant influenced by physiological *** of these processes have their limits genetically determined,but climate and irrigation play an important *** of its importance,microclimate has been extensively studied in the modeling as a surrounding condition which is imposed by the exterior *** main objective of this work was to develop a temperature model based on the energy balance dynamics at two different greenhouse locations-South-eastern Spain and Northern China,and the traditional structures of Chinese solar greenhouse and Almería-type multi-span greenhouse were taken into *** final model was developed by combining the external conditions,the actuator influence and the crop growth,where the temperature is influenced by soil,crop,cover,actuators,back wall and greenhouse *** model took into account the energy lost by convective and conductive fluxes,as well as the energy supplied by solar radiation and heating *** soil and the back wall are the main media for energy *** temperature dynamic was determined by a physical model,which considered the energy balance from a holistic point of view-as a sub-model for a customizable interface among the external climate,the plant and the greenhouse *** influences of different subsystems included in the temperature model were analyzed and *** results showed a high R^(2)value of 0.94 for Beijing and 0.95 for Almeria,and the average error was low,of which the MAE and RMSE were 0.71 and 1.365 for Almeria and 0.62 and 1.102 for Beijing,***,the model can be considered as a powerful tool for control design purposes in microclimate systems.

From Network Functions to NetApps: The 5GASP Methodology

As the 5G ecosystem continues its consolidation,the testing and validation of the innovations achieved by integrators and verticals service providers is of preponderant *** this line,5GASP is a European H2020-funded project that aims at easing the idea-to-market process through the creation of an European testbed that is fully automated and self-service,in order to foster rapid development and testing of new and innovative 5G Network Applications(NetApps).The main objective of this paper is to present the 5GASP’s unified methodology to design,develop and onboard NetApps within the scope of different vertical services,letting them use specific 5G ***,we examine the whole 5GASP process in a tutorial fashion by adopting a specific use case focusing on the integration of a virtual On-Board Unit(vOBU)service that permits offloading processing from the attached vehicle and serving data-access *** demonstrated,the presented workflow permits the agile,rigorous,and safe development,testing and certification of NetApps,which will enable valuable in-network services for 5G and beyond infrastructures.

The exponential growth of mobile applications and services during the last years has challenged the existing network ***,the arrival of multiple management solutions to cope with this explosion along the end-to-end network chain has increased the complexity in the coordinated orchestration of different segments composing the whole *** Zero-touch Network and Service Management(ZSM)concept has recently emerged to automatically orchestrate and manage network resources while assuring the Quality of Experience(QoE)demanded by *** Learning(ML)is one of the key enabling technologies that many ZSM frameworks are adopting to bring intelligent decision making to the network management *** paper presents a comprehensive survey of the state-of-the-art application of ML-based techniques to improve ZSM *** this end,the main related standardization activities and the aligned international projects and research efforts are deeply *** this dissection,the skyrocketing growth of the ZSM paradigm can be ***,different standardization bodies have already designed reference architectures to set the foundations of novel automatic network management functions and resource *** with these advances,diverse ML techniques are being currently exploited to build further ZSM developments in different aspects,including multi-tenancy management,traffic monitoring,and architecture coordination,among ***,different challenges,such as the complexity,scalability,and security of ML mechanisms,are also identified,and future research guidelines are provided to accomplish a firm development of the ZSM ecosystem.

MYB34, MYB51, and MYB122 transcription factors are known as decisive regulators of indolic glucosinolate （IG） biosynthesis with a strong impact on expression of genes encoding CYP79B2 and CYP79B3 enzymes that redundantly convert tryptophan to indole-3-acetaldoxime （IAOx）. This intermediate represents a branching point for IG biosynthesis, and pathways leading to camalexin and indole-carboxylic acids （ICA）. Here we investigate how these MYBs affect the pathogen-triggered Trp metabolism. Our experiments indicated that these three MYBs affect not only IG production but also constitutive biosynthesis of other IAOx- derived metabolites. Strikingly, the PENETRATION 2 （PEN2）-dependent IG-metabolism products, which are absent in myb34/51/122 and pen2 mutants, were indispensable for full flg22-mediated induction of other IAOx-dedved compounds. However, germ induction and accumulation of ICAs and camalexin upon path- ogen infection was not compromised in myb34/51/122 plants, despite strongly reduced IG levels. Hence, in comparison with cyp79B2/B3, which lacks all IAOx-derived metabolites, we found myb34/51/122 an ideal tool to analyze IG contribution to resistance against the necrotrophic fungal pathogen Plectosphaerella cucumerina. The susceptibility of myb34/51/122 was similar to that of pen2, but much lower than susceptibility of cyp79B2/B3, indicating that MYB34/51/122 contribute to resistance toward P. cucumerina exclu- sively through IG biosynthesis, and that PEN2 is the main leaf myrosinase activating IGs in response to microbial pathogens.

Multi-camera systems for rehabilitation therapies:a study of the precision of Microsoft Kinect sensors

This paper seeks to determine how the overlap of several infrared beams affects the tracked position of the user, depending on the angle of incidence of light, distance to the target, distance between sensors, and the number of capture devices used. We also try to show that under ideal conditions using several Kinect sensors increases the precision of the data collected. The results obtained can be used in the design of telerehabilitation environments in which several RGB-D cameras are needed to improve precision or increase the tracking range. A numerical analysis of the results is included and comparisons are made with the results of other studies. Finally, we describe a system that implements intelligent methods for the rehabilitation of patients based on the results of the tests carried out.

This paper analyzes the network of passes among the players of the Spanish team during the last FIFA World Cup 2010,where they emerged as the champion,with the objective of explaining the results obtained from the behavior at the complex network *** team is considered a network with players as nodes and passes as(directed) edges.A temporal analysis of the resulting passes network is also done,looking at the number of passes,length of the chain of passes,and to network measures such as player centrality and clustering *** of the last three matches(the decisive ones) indicate that the clustering coefficient of the pass network remains high,indicating the elaborate style of the Spanish *** effectiveness of the opposing team in negating the Spanish game is reflected in the change of several network measures over time,most importantly in drops of the clustering coefficient and passing length/speed,as well as in their being able in removing the most talented players from the central positions of the ***'s ability to restore their combinative game and move the focus of the game to offensive positions and talented players is shown to tilt the balance in favor of the Spanish team.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Multi-Access Edge Computing as Security Enabler for Next-Gen 5G Security Frameworks

5G/Beyond 5G(B5G)networks provide connectivity to many heterogeneous devices,raising significant security and operational issues and making traditional infrastructure management increasingly *** this regard,new frameworks such as Anastacia-H2020 or INSPIRE-5GPlus automate the management of next-generation infrastructures,especially regarding policy-based security,abstraction,flexibility,and *** paper presents the design,workflow,and implementation of a security solution based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs),able to extend 5G/B5G security framework capabilities with UAV features like dynamic service provisioning in specific geographic *** proposed solution allows enforcing UAV security policies in proactive and reactive ways to automate UAV dynamic deployments and provisioning security Virtual Network Functions(VNFs)in the onboard Multi-access Edge Computing(MEC)node.A UAV has been ensembled from scratch to validate the proposal,and a raspberry-pi has been onboarded as compute *** implementation provides a VNF for dynamic UAV management,capable of dynamically loading waypoints into the flight controller to address reactive autonomous flights,and anMLbased VNF capable of detecting image *** to the security policies,the onboard VNFs can be dynamically configured to generate alerts to the framework and apply local reactions depending on the detection *** our experiments,we measured the time it takes for the solution to be ready after receiving a security policy for detecting patterns in a specific geographical *** time it takes for the solution to react automatically was also *** results show that the proactive flow configuration considering ten waypoints can be enforced in less than 3 s,and a local reactive flow can be enforced in around 1 *** consider that the results are promising and aligned with other security enabler solutions as part of existing 5G/6G security frameworks.
