To the Editor： Despite the numerous morphological and biomechanical studies on the anterior cruciate ligament （ACl）, this anatomical structure is still tinder investigation; in particular, there is a discussion about its anatomical composition in relation to biomechanics. At present, in general, it is assumed that ACl comprises a structure of two bundles： anteromedial and posterolateral. Sometimes, even three bundles are distinguished; however, the presumption that ACl is an integral and continuous structure is constantly mentioned in the literature. It is known that ACl is not isometric, and the length of ACl fibers varies along with knee flexion and extension： in flexion, the length of anteromedial bundle increases （tightens）, while posterolateral bundle decreases （slackens）. At the same time, during knee flexion and extension, femoral part of ACl rotates, while its tibial part moves minutely.[1] It might be considered that the foreign body embedded at the distal part of ACl should have less potency for migration.

BACKGROUND Transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR)provokes an early injury response,partially represented by dynamic changes in inflammatory *** greatly benefits the elderly and we aimed to determine whether increased inflammatory markers post-TAVR in octagenerians were different than their younger counterparts and whether it was associated with adverse clinical *** Patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who underwent transfemoral TAVR from January 2010 to December 2021 were *** white blood cells(WBC)count and subpopulation dynamics were *** Five-hundred and seven patients were finally included in the study,65%of these patients were 80 or more years old(54%female,median age 84[82-87])years,with severe symptomatic aortic *** patients aged above 80 years(patients≥80),we noticed significant kinetic changes in the WBC and their differential cellular subpopulations(Ply days *** was evident by a significant increase in total WBC(median 7.1 to 9.4)and absolute neutrophil count(median 4.7 to 7.4),neutrophil-lymphocyte(Nl)ratio(median 2.82 to 7.21),and a meaningful decrease in absolute lymphocyte count(median 1.5 to 1.0).Implantation of self-expandable valves(SEVs)was associated with a more pronounced inflammatory response than balloon-expandable valves(BEVs).Higher WBC and neutrophil counts were associated with higher mortality and major vascular complications at 30 days,in addition,higher neutrophil counts and Nl ratios were found to be correlated to arrhythmia at 30 days with P values of 0.04 and 0.028,*** This is the first description of a differential age-related inflammatory response in patients after TAVR,which shows an association between inflammatory markers post procedure and clinical ***,survival rates were similar in the elderly population and in younger patients,despite the presence of comorbid conditions.

Wood frame wails typically need a vapour barrier at the warm side to avoid interstitial condensation due to vapour diffusion and air leakages from the interior. A more vapour open material than the traditional vapour barriers, here calted vapour retarder, could allow condensed moisture, built-in-moisture or moisture from minor leakages to dry to the interior in addition to the outward drying. The application of permeable vapour retarders in wood frame wails have been investigated in this study by the use of a hygrothermat simulation tool. A traditional wood frame wail usually has good drying possibilities to the exterior. If a vapour retarder should have an effect on the total drying, it must not be too vapour tight. The purpose of this study was to find some threshold value for the maximum vapour resistance of a vapour retarder--when a requirement is that it should have a relatively large effect of the total drying of the wail. The increased risk for condensation as the vapour resistance decreases has however not been investigated in this study. In general it was found that permeable vapour barriers have retatively littte effect on the total drying of ordinary wood frame waits in a Nordic ctimate.

A recent study by lu et al.1 suggests a novel approach to increasing responsiveness to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy. ICB is a promising form of cancer immunotherapy that aims to boost the anti-tumoral immune response. This response is primarily driven by the presentation of different types of antigens at the cancer cell membrane via the type I major histocompatibility complex (MHC I). Neoantigens are tumor-specific antigens that are small (mostly 9-mers) mutated peptides that generally result from somatic mutations. High tumor mutational burden, which results in the formation of many neoantigens, is currently one of the main biomarkers for ICB response prediction. Because ICB is only effective in a minority of patients, new therapeutic strategies are required to augment this response.

The effects of a fine water mist environment in a semi-confined blast chamber on the chemical and thermodynamic processes following detonation of a 20 g PE4 explosive charge have been *** effects were quantified by the analysis of pressure profiles recorded where several parameters including arrival time of the shock at the sensors, peak overpressures, specific impulse of the positive phase, period of the negative phase and the specific impulse of the multiple reflections were *** effect of the fine water mist on the arrival time, peak pressures and the specific impulse of the positive phase agrees with previous findings in literature. In this paper, the focus is on the implications of the fine water mist on the negative phase and the impulse of multiple pressure reflections. The period of the negative phase was found to have increased by 40% and with higher negative peak pressure in the mist condition compared to the atmospheric condition. The activities of the multiple pressure reflections were found to have decreased considerably, both in number and in amplitude leading to lower impulses(by about 60%) for the water mist conditions.
