Dear Editor,Since the late 1980s, trauma in China has been identified as a major public health challenge, with trafic-related fatalities accounting for 80% of accidental deaths[1]. In 2019, Shenzhen had a total population of approximately 20 million, and from 2010 to 2017, both emergency medical services and the total number of trauma patients increased, with trauma accounting for 47.0% and 38.4% of all patients in 2010 and 2017, respectively[2,3]. This report describes the efforts to implement programs and establish a trauma system in Shenzhen, China.

PDC钻头在石油天然气钻井和地质勘探钻进中得到了广泛的应用,取得了很好的技术经济效果。但是,钻进中产生的PDC切削具非正常磨损,影响了这种先进方法的机械钻速和钻头进尺的提高。俄罗斯史密斯钻头(smith Bits)公司研发了一种钻进过程中可以沿着自身轴线回转的ONYX切削具,抑制了PDC切削具的非正常磨损,具有创新性和实用价值。НecкopoMныx B.B.教授等对镶有ONYX切削具的钻头的结构和性能参数进行了分析研究。试验表明,这种ONYX切削具的耐磨性比常规固定式PDC切削具的耐磨性好,钻头钻进效果也比较好,俄罗斯正在积极推广使用,建议中国有关专家和部门对此进行研究和试验。

Microtexture analyes on quartz from coastal sediments of the Gulf of Mexico and the Mexican Pacific Coast reveal 35 and 30 types of microtextures,respectively,which were grouped into mechanical,mechanical/chemical and chemical categories based on their mode of *** of chemical origin are rarer in the El Carrizal than in the Manzanillo beach sediments of the Mexican Pacific *** of mechanical origin like straight and curved scratches,pits,broken edges,and v-shaped marks indicate high energy,fluvial to marine depositional *** scarcity to absence of chemical features suggest that the energy level was higher at the Mexican Pacific coast than on the Gulf of Mexico coast.v-shaped marks are common in the Gulf of Mexico sediments,whereas they are abundant in the quartz grains from the Mexican Pacific *** frequency and density of v-shaped marks are produced by exceedingly high wave velocity during storm events or *** of v-shaped marks with fresh surfaces of quartz grains from the Mexican Pacific coast indicate an extremely high-energy impact *** quartz grains from the El Carrizal beach of the Mexican Pacific coast have abundant closely spaced vshaped marks with fewer fresh *** high frequency of v-shaped marks is mainly linked to grain-tograin collision,typically associated with high-energy sub-aqueous conditions with a large volume of sedimentary particles in the water column that are produced during a tsunami or storm *** contrast,many quartz grains from the Gulf of Mexico have large fresh surfaces with moderate percentages of v-shaped marks that might have been produced by high-energy waves with low sediment concentrations during storm events.

Dyslipidemia is a disorder where abnormally lipid concentrations circulate in the bloodstream. The disorder is common in type 2 diabetics (T2D) and is linked with T2D comorbidities, particularly cardiovascular disease. Dyslipidemia in T2D is typically characterized by elevated plasma triglyceride and low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels. There is a significant gap in the literature regarding dyslipidemia in rural parts of Africa, where lipid profiles may not be captured through routine surveillance. This study aimed to characterize the prevalence and demo-graphic profile of dyslipidemia in T2D in the rural community of Ganadougou, Mali. We performed a cross-sectional study of 104 subjects with T2D in Ganadougou between November 2021 and March 2022. Demographic and lipid profiles were collected through cross-sectional surveys and serological analyses. The overall prevalence of dyslipidemia in T2D patients was 87.5% (91/104), which did not differ by sex (P = .368). High low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) was the most common lipid abnormality (78.9%, [82/104]). Dyslipidemia was associated with age and hypertension status (P = .013 and.036, respectively). High total and high LDL-C parameters were significantly associated with hypertension (P = .029 and .006, respectively). In low-resource settings such as rural Mali, there is a critical need to improve infrastructure for routine dyslipidemia screening to guide its prevention and intervention approaches. The high rates of dyslipidemia observed in Gandadougou, consistent with concomitant increases in cardiovascular diseases in Africa suggest that lipid profile assessments should be incorporated into routine medical care for T2D patients in African rural settings.

We investigated the upper mantle anisotropy beneath China by applying teleseismic shear wave splitting measurements at 119 seismic stations from CDSN and GSN//RIS networks in China. The splitting observations are characterized by apparent diversity of anisotropy pattern in adjacent tectonic domains, including the Tianshan orogenic belt, Tibetan plateau, the Yangtze craton, the North China craton and northeastern region. In western China （Tianshan orogenic belt and Tibetan plateau）, fast polarization directions of split SKS waves coincide strikingly well with the dominating trend of deformational crustal features and delay times range from 0.5 s to 1.6 s. While in eastern China, seismic anisotropy deduced from shear wave splitting reveals a homogeneous NW-SE trending structure, almost perpendicular to the strike of large-scale surface structures. The observed delay times of 1.5 s to more than 2 s favor consistent mantle flow over large mantle thicknesses Based upon the straightforward relationships between seismic anisotropy and the development of lattice preferred orientation of mineral in upper mantle rocks, we interpret the splitting results in terms of tectonic fabric within the upper mantle. Since the lithosphere is less than 100 km thick beneath eastern China and the observed fast directions are subparallel to the trend of the absolute plate motion （APM） of Eurasian plate, we propose that the asthenosphere may mainly contribute to the anisotropic effects beneath eastern China. However, the upper mantle anisotropy beneath western China may have developed more recently in the subcrustal lithosphere because of rather small delay times and thick lithosphere. We also use the opportunity of the dense geodetic measurements available in China to discuss the coupling between the crust and mantle. Ischemia-reperfusion plays a major role in the injury experienced by the liver during transplantation. Much work has been done recently investigating the role of redox species in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion. As animal models are better characterized and developed, and more insights are gained into the pathophysiology of hepatic ischemia reperfusion injury in humans the questions into exactly how oxidants participate in this injury are becoming more refined. These questions include effects of cellular location, timing of injury, and ability of therapeutics to access this site are increasing our appreciation of the complexity of ischemia reperfusion and improving attempts to ameliorate its effects. In this review, we aim to discuss the various methods to alter redox chemistry during ischemia reperfusion injury and future prospects for preventing organ injury during hepatic ischemia reperfusion.

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN)is a pre-malignant,mucin-producing epithelial lesion arising from pancreatic *** reports define IPMN behavior as ranging from indolent,asymptomatic lesions to dysplasia that sometimes degenerate into pancreatic *** goal of IPMN management is risk-reducing surgery for high-risk cysts and observation of the *** high-from low-risk IPMN disease still relies on imaging and clinical cyst ***,we review the accepted classification of IPMN including the most common histological subtypes,their clinical features,and currently-accepted high-risk *** then deeply examine the known molecular landscape of IPMN,which has largely been derived from post-resection *** includes those gene variants unique to IPMN,chiefly GNAS and RNF43,but also examines the overlap between IPMN and conventional pancreatic *** molecular markers in the clinical setting relies on endoscopically-obtained cyst fluid and presumes that it accurately represents the molecular characteristics of the cystic *** synthesize existing data on mutational analysis from IPMN cyst fluid and consider the benefits and proper role of current commercially-available cyst fluid molecular analysis *** conclude that carefully interpreted molecular analysis of resected IPMN tissue reveals insights into its biology and natural history while cyst fluid analysis offers prognostication and data to guide treatment ***,knowledge gaps remain,especially in characterizing IPMN molecular heterogeneity,time to progression,and correlating cyst fluid genotype data with surveillance *** such,substantial additional research is required before the promise of true molecular guidance of IPMN management can be realized.
