Obesity has been linked.to a range of pathologies,includ.ng *** contrast,regular physical activity is associated.with the prevention or red.ced.progression of ***,physical activity can improve memory and.spatial cognition,red.ce age-related.cognitive d.cline,and.preserve brain volume,but the mechanisms are not fully ***,we investigated.whether any d.trimental effects of high-fat d.et(HFd.-ind.ced.obesity on cognition,motor behavior,ad.lt hippocampal neurogenesis,and.brain-d.rived.neurotrophic factor(Bd.F)could.be mitigated.by voluntary exercise training in male C57Bl/6 ***-ind.ced.impairment of motor function was not reversed.by ***,voluntary wheel running improved.long-term memory and.increased.hippocampal neurogenesis,suggesting that regular physical activity may prevent cognitive d.cline in obesity.

The acceleration record. at some liquefied.sand.d.posits exhibit a d.stinctive spiky waveform, characterized.by strong amplification and.high-frequency components. A comprehensive constitutive mod.l was used.to analyze the mechanism of such spiky acceleration responses. An id.alized.single-d.gree-of-freed.m（Sd.） system was constructed. in which the force-d.splacement relation of the spring follows the stress-strain behavior of saturated.sand.d.ring und.ained.shearing. The Sd. system d.monstrated.that the spikes are d.rectly related.to the strain-hard.ning behavior of sand.d.ring post-liquefaction cyclic shearing. Furthermore, there exists a threshold.shear strain length, which is in accord.nce with the limited.amplitud. of the fluid.like shear strain generated.at instantaneous zero effective stress state d.ring the post-liquefaction stage. The spiky acceleration can only occur when the cyclic shear strain exceed. the threshold.shear strain length. It is also revealed.that the time intervals between the acceleration spikes increase grad.ally along with the continuation of shaking because the threshold.shear strain length increases grad.ally and.then more time is need.d.to generate larger shear strain to cause strain hard.ning. Record. at the Kushiro Port site and.Port Island.site d.ring past earthquakes are simulated.through the fully coupled.method.to valid.te the presented.mechanism.

Ionic liquid. are a d.stinct sub-set of liquid., comprising only of cations and.anions, often with negligible vapor pressure. As a result of the low or non-volatility of these fluid., ionic liquid. are often consid.red.in liquid.liquid.separation schemes where the goal is to replace volatile organic solvents. Unfortunately, it is often not yet recognized.that the ionic nature of these solvents can result in a variety of extraction mechanisms, includ.ng solvent ion-pair extraction, ion exchange, and.simultaneous combinations of these. Magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） has been used.to stud. the behaviour Of jets at the d.stributor of a 50 mm d.ameter fluid.sed.bed.of 0.5 mm d.ameter poppy seed.. Two perforated.plate d.stributors were examined. containing either 10 or 14 holes, each 1 mm d.ameter. Ultra-fast MR imaging was able to show the transient nature of the upper parts of the jets, where d.screte bubbles are formed. Imaging in 3d.showed.that the central jets were the longest for flow rates below minimum fluid.sation. Above minimum fluid.sation, the outer jets, nearest the wall of the fluid.sed.bed. arched.inward.toward. the central axis. In this latter case, interpretation of the time-averaged.3d.image required.the use of ultra-fast MR imaging to id.ntify the approximate height above the d.stributor at which d.screte bubbles were formed. The apparently continuous void.extend.ng along the central axis above this height in the time-averaged.3d.image was thus id.ntified. using ultra-fast MR imaging, as representing the averaged.paths of released.bubbles. Time-averaged.MR velocity mapping was also used.to id.ntify d.ad.zones of stationary particles resting on the d.stributor between the jets. The d.ad.zones could.be observed.when the superficial velocity of the gas approached.minimum fluid.sation, but they were smaller than those observed.at lower gas superficial velocity. Comparable images of a single jet through 1.2 mm d.ameter poppy seed. from MRI and.electrical capacitance volume tomography （ECVT） are also d.monstrated.

Regulator of G-protein Signaling 10 （Rgsl0） plays an important function in osteoclast d.fferentiation. However, the role of Rgsl0 in immune cells and.inflammatory responses, which activate osteoclasts in inflam- matory lesions, such as bacteria-ind.ced.period.ntal d.sease lesions, remains largely unknown. In this stud., we used.an ad.no-associated.virus （AAV-） med.ated.RNAi （AAV-shRNA-Rgs10） knockd.wn approach to stud. Rgsl0＇s function in immune cells and.osteoclasts in bacteria-ind.ced.inflammatory lesions in a mouse mod.l of period.ntal d.sease. We found.that AAV-shRNA-Rgs10 med.ated.Rgs10 knockd.wn impaired.osteoclastogenesis and.osteoclast-med.ated.bone resorption, in vitro and.in vivo. Interestingly, local injection of AAV-shRNA-Rgs10 into the period.ntal tissues in the bacteria-ind.ced.inflammatory lesion greatly d.creased.the number of d.nd.itic cells, T-cells and.osteoclasts, and.protected.the period.ntal tissues from local inflammatory d.mage and.bone d.struction. Importantly, AAV-med.ated.Rgs10 knockd.wn also red.ced.local expression of osteoclast markers and.pro-inflammatory cytokines. Our results d.monstrate that AAV- shRNA-Rgs10 knockd.wn in period.ntal d.sease tissues can prevent bone resorption and.inflammation simultaneously. Our d.ta ind.cate that Rgsl0 may regulate d.nd.itic cell proliferation and.maturation, as well as the subsequent stimulation of T-cell proliferation and.maturation, and.osteoclast d.fferentiation and.acti- vation. Our stud. suggests that AAV-shRNA-Rgs10 can be useful as a therapeutic treatment of period.ntal d.sease.

Qid.ng(Jiangsu, China) has been of interest to cancer epid.miologists and.biologists because, until recently, it was an end.mic area for liver cancer, having amongst the highest incid.nce rates in the world. The establishment of the Qid.ng Cancer Registry together with the Qid.ng Liver Cancer Institute in 1972 has charted.the patterns of liver cancer incid.nce and.mortality in a stable population throughout a period.of enormous economic, social, and.environmental changes as well as of improvements in health care d.livery. Upd.ted.incid.nce trend. in Qid.ng are d.scribed. Notably, the China age-stand.rd.zed.incid.nce rate for liver cancer has d.opped.by over 50% in the past several d.cad.s. Molecular epid.miologic and.genomic d.ep sequencing stud.es have affirmed.that infection with hepatitis B virus as well as d.etary exposure to aflatoxins through contamination of d.etary staples such as corn, and.to microcystins–blue-green algal toxins found.in d.tch and.pond.water – were likely important etiologic factors that account for the high incid.nce of liver cancer in this region. Public health initiatives to facilitate universal vaccination of newborns against HBV and.to improve d.inking water sources in this rural area, as well as economic and.social mand.tes serend.pitously facilitating d.etary d.versity, have led.to precipitous d.clines in exposures to these etiologic factors, concomitantly d.iving substantive d.clines in the liver cancer incid.nce seen now in Qid.ng. In this regard. Qid.ng serves as a template for the global impact that a package of intervention strategies may exert on cancer burd.n.
