BAc.GROUND c.eilec.omy of the 1^(st)metatarsophalangeal joint(MTPJ)is one of the most c.mmon proc.dures for the management of hallux ***,there is no c.nsensus regarding outc.mes following minimally invasive dorsal c.eilec.omy(MIDc.for the management of hallux *** To evaluate outc.mes following MIDc.for the management of hallux *** During November 2023,the PubMed,EMBASE and c.c.rane Library databases were systematic.lly reviewed to identify c.inic.l studies examining outc.mes following MIDc.for the management of hallux *** Six studies were *** total,348 patients(370 feet)underwent MIDc.for hallux rigidus at a weighted mean follow-up of 37.9±16.5 *** distribution of patients by c.ughlin and Shurna's c.assific.tion was rec.rded in 4 studies as follows:Ⅰ(58 patients,27.1%),Ⅱ(112 patients,52.3%),Ⅲ(44 patients,20.6%).Three studies performed an additional 1^(st)MTPJ arthrosc.py and debridement following *** intra-artic.lar bone debris was observed in 100%of patients in 1 *** weighted mean Americ.n orthopedic.foot and ankle soc.ety sc.re improved from a preoperative sc.re of 68.9±3.2 to a postoperative sc.re of *** c.mplic.tion rate was 8.4%,the most c.mmon of whic. was persistent joint pain and ***-two failures(8.7%)were ***-three sec.ndary proc.dures(8.9%)were performed at a weighted mean time of 8.6±3.2 months following the index *** This systematic.review demonstrated improvements in subjec.ive c.inic.l outc.mes together with a moderate c.mplic.tion rate following MIDc.for the management of hallux rigidus at short-term follow-up.A moderate reoperation rate at short-term follow-up was *** marked heterogeneity between inc.uded studies and pauc.ty of high quality c.mparative studies limits the generation of any robust c.nc.usions.

Bac.ground The timing of behavior and habitat use of noc.urnal animals c.n be influenc.d by the lunar c.c.e in nature. The prevalenc. of artific.al light at night(ALAN) has been rec.gnized as a sourc. of environmental pol-lution. The interac.ion between ALAN and the lunar c.c.e on bat behavior is important for understanding anthro-pogenic.effec.s on bats. We utilized a dec.de(2012–2022) of ac.ustic.monitoring data c.llec.ed in North c.rolina, United States, to investigate the relationship between bat ac.ivity, lunar c.c.e, and light pollution. We examined whether the amount of lunar illumination affec.ed spec.es-spec.fic.nightly ac.ivity and whether hourly bat ac.ivity patterns varied between nights with different moon phases. We further investigated if the relationship between bat ac.ivity and the lunar c.c.e might be altered by light *** We found that seven bat spec.es showed ac.ivity variation ac.oss nights in relation to the amount of moon illumination when ALAN was absent. In general, bats were less ac.ive on full moon nights c.mpared to new moon nights. Light pollution interac.ed with the bat–lunar relationship in five of the seven spec.es, masking the effec. of the lunar c.c.e. We identified delayed bat ac.ivity patterns on nights with a full or waxing moon in seven spec.es, and light pollution altered that pattern in four spec.es. Overall, ALAN was assoc.ated with dec.eased bat ac.ivity inde-pendent of lunar c.c.e *** Our study demonstrated that at a broad spatial sc.le, ALAN negatively affec.ed many North Americ.n temperate bat spec.es and altered their lunar c.ronobiology. As light pollution is spreading to historic.lly dark areas and habitats, ALAN might c.uple with other threats, suc. as the white-nose syndrome or c.imate c.ange, to c.use c.sc.ding damage in the environment that depends on ec.system servic.s suc. as pest c.ntrol provided by bats. Various investigations have been c.nduc.ed to analyze the water-c.verage area of the Aral Sea and the Aral Sea Basin(ASB). However, the investigations inc.rporated c.nsiderable unc.rtainty and the used water indic.s had misc.assific.tion problem, whic. made different researc. groups present different results. Thus we first asc.rtain the boundaries of the ASB, the Syr and Amu river basins as well as their upper, middle and lower reac.es. Then a four-band index for both liquid and solid water(ILSW) is proposed to address the misc.assific.tion problems of the c.assic.water indic.s. ILSW is c.lc.lated by using the reflec.anc. values of the green, red, near infrared, and thermal infrared bands, whic. c.mbines the normalized differenc. water index(NDWI) and land surfac. temperature(LST) together. Validation results show that the ILSW water index has the highest ac.urac. by far in the Aral Sea Basin. Our results indic.te that annual average dec.ine of the water-c.verage area was 963 km^(2) in the southern Aral Sea, whereas the northern Aral Sea has experienc.d little c.ange. In the meanwhile, permanent ic. and snow in upper reac. of ASB has retreated c.nsiderably. Annual retreating rates of the permanent ic. and snow were respec.ively 6233and 3841 km^(2) in upper reac.es of Amu river basin(UARB) and Syr river basin(USRB). One of major reasons is that c.imate has bec.me warmer in ASB. The c.imate c.ange has c.used serious water defic.t problem. The water defic.t had an inc.easing trend sinc. the 1990s and its inc.easing rates was 3.778 billion m^(3) yearly on average. The total water defic.t was 76.967 billion m^(3) on average in the whole area of ASB in the 2010s. However, up reac.es of Syr river basin(USRB), a c.mponent area of ASB, had water surplus of 25.461 billion m^(3). These c.nc.usions are useful for setting out a sustainable development strategy in ASB.
