Re-examination of three specimens from the Kanchenjunga Himal of Nepal via in situ Lu-Hf garnet geochronology yields evidence of multiple garnet growth *** analyses from grain cores in two specimens define paleozoic regressions whereas analyses from grain rims in the same specimens define low-precision regressions consistent with the timing of Himalayan *** dates contrast with previously published low dispersion,ca.290 Ma isotope dissolution(ID)Lu-Hf garnet dates for the same *** of Lu and spot age distribution in representative grains from the specimens examined yields calculated dates that approximate the permian-age regressions through the original ID *** findings demonstrate that it is possible to generate low dispersion ID Lu-Hf data from multigenerational garnet with significantly different-age growth events when approximately equal proportions of the different age reservoirs are included in multi-component aliquots.

BACKGROUND Cervical cancer is a rare primary tumor resulting in metastases to the breast with few cases reported in *** metastases are associated with poor *** following case highlights the diagnostic challenges associated with metastatic cervical cancer to the breast along with individualized *** SUMMARY A 44-year-old G7p5025 with no significant past medical or surgical history presented with heavy vaginal to an outside emergency department where an exam and a pelvic magnetic resonance imaging showed a 4.5 cm heterogenous lobulated cervical mass involving upper two thirds of vagina,parametria and lymph node *** biopsies confirmed high grade adenocarcinoma with mucinous features.A positron emission tomography/computed tomography(pET/CT)did not show evidence of metastatic *** received concurrent cisplatin with external beam radiation *** up pET/CT scan three months later showed no suspicious fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in the cervix and no evidence of metastatic *** was lost to follow up for six *** was re-imaged on re-presentation and found to have widely metastatic disease including breast *** biopsy confirmed programmed death-ligand 1 positive metastatic cervical *** patient received six cycles of carboplatin and paclitaxel with *** imaging demonstrated *** continued on pembrolizumab with disease *** Metastatic cervical cancer to the breast is uncommon with nonspecific clinical findings that can make diagnosis *** history and immunohistochemical evaluation of breast lesion,and comparison to primary tumor can support diagnosis of metastatic cervical cancer to the ***,the prognosis is poor,but immunotherapy can be considered in select patients and may result in good disease response.

Hepatocellular cancer is the 5th most common cancer in the world and the third cause of death by malignant disease. Locoregional therapies are the most usual treatment of choice for patients with early or intermediate stage of disease. The main diagnostictools for the detection of recurrence are the radiological techniques such as 4-phase computed tomography or dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging. However, in order to achieve best evaluation of treatment outcome and recurrence rates, there is a great need for the identification of specific and easily measured circulating biomarkers. The aim of this review is to analyze the existing data considering the prognostic significance of changes of serum diagnostic markers such as alpha-fetoprotein, des-gamma-carboxy prothrombin, alpha-fetoprotein-L3, angiogenetic factors(vascular endothelial growth factor, hypoxia inducible factor-1a) and immune parameters before and after radiofrequency ablation or transarterial chemoembolization.

Chaotic oscillations are useful in assessing the health of a structure. Hence, simple chaotic systems which can easily be realized mechanically or electro-mechanically are highly desired. We study a new pieeewise linear spring-tnass system. The chaotic behaviour in this system is characterized using bifurcation diagrams and the invariant parameters of the dynamics. We also show that there exists a stochastic analogue of this system, which mimics the dynamical features of its deterministic counterpart. This allows a greater flexibility in practical designs as the chaotic oscillations are obtained either deterministically or stochastically. Also, the oscillations are low dimensional, which reduces the computational resources needed for obtaining the invariant parameters of this system.

Bipolar disorder(BD)is a familial disorder with high *** factors have been linked to the pathogenesis of *** of probands with BD who are at familial risk can exhibit brain abnormalities prior to illness *** its involvement in prefrontal cognitive control and in frontolimbic circuitry that regulates emotional reactivity,the inferior frontal gyrus(IFG)has been a focus of research in studies of BD-related pathology and BD-risk *** this review,we discuss multimodal neuroimaging findings of the IFG based on studies comparing at-risk relatives and low-risk *** of these studies in at-risk cases suggests the presence of both risk and resilience markers related to the ***-risk individuals exhibited larger gray matter volume and increased functional activities in IFG compared with low-risk controls,which might result from an adaptive brain compensation to support emotion regulation as an aspect of psychological *** connectivity between IFG and downstream limbic or striatal areas was typically decreased in at-risk individuals relative to controls,which could contribute to risk-related problems of cognitive and emotional ***-scale and longitudinal investigations on at-risk individuals will further elucidate the role of IFG and other brain regions in relation to familial risk for BD,and together guide identification of at-risk individuals for primary prevention.

Tai Lake(Ch: Taihu) has attracted international attention forcyanobacteria ***, the drivers of cultural eutrophication, especially long-term socio-economic indicators have been little researched. The results of research demonstrate how socioeconomic development affected quality of water and how it has been improved by anthropogenic activities. This study described variability in indicators of water quality in Tai Lakeand investigated thedrivers. Significant relationships existed between concentrations of annual mean total nitrogen(TN), total phosphorous(Tp), chemical oxygen demand(COD) and biological oxygen demand(BOD), and population, per capital gross domestic production(GDp) and sewage discharge(p p, COD and BOD. Before 2000, the main contributors to increases in concentrations of TN were human population, GDp and volumes of domestic sewage discharges. After 2000, discharges of industrial sewage become the primary contributor. After 1998, the regressions of annual mean TN, Tp and COD on per capital GDp, population and domestic sewage discharge were reversed compared to the former period. Since 1999, an apparent inverted U-shaped relationship between environmental pollution and economic development has developed, which indicated that actions taken by governments have markedly improved quality of water in Tai Lake. The statistical relationship between BOD and per capital GDp didn't conform to the Kuznet curve. The Ushaped Kuznet curve may offer hope for the future that with significant environmental investments a high GDp can be reached and maintained without degradation of the environment, especially through appropriate management of industrial sewage discharge.
