In this research,an Underwater Biofouling Panel(UWBFP)system was erected for the qualitative and quantitative estimation of macro fouling organisms in the Gulf of ***-four biofoulers were identified from four types of selected test *** these biofoulers,Amphibalanus amphitrite(Darwin,1854)was the dominant *** concrete panel encouraged the highest barnacle density compared to the other *** series of test panels were used to assess the seasonal density of biofouling *** overall variation in barnacle count in the seaward and shoreward sides of all these three series were *** were found to be significantly different from each *** greater variations in the barnacle density observed in this study in A-series of test panels could be due to the lack of or absence of other foulers to compete within the *** Shannon-Wiener species diversity index showed the highest diversity in wood substratum among the three series with greater accumulation of different types of fouling *** analyses were also performed to understand the seasonal variation as well as the settlement pattern on the different directions of test panels based on validated *** showed a strong variability(PC1 between 70.8%and 98.6%variance)between the directions of the panels in connection with barnacle *** shade plot and CAP analysis segregated the short-term A-series test panels from the long-term(B-and C-series)test ***,the output was helpful in understanding the recruitment status of various faunal resources involved in the biofouling processes.

Hypomagnesaemia and associated hypocalcaemia and hypoparathyroidism have been increasingly recognised as rare longterm side-effects of proton pump inhibitors(PPIs).The PPIs may inhibit active magnesium(Mg)absorption by interfering with transcellular transient receptor potential melastatin-6 and-7(TRPM 6 and 7)*** recent cell culture studies have suggested concomitant inhibition of passive Mg absorption by *** being treated with a range of PPIs,the four patients in our case series developed hypomagnesaemia,which responded to withdrawal of therapy and initiation of Mg *** clinical course and management demonstrate key aspects of hypomagnesaemia associated with long-term use of PPIs.

Failure of a transformer is a costly incident which can impact power system operation and result in loss of supply to *** can fail through a number of mechanisms,one of which is from the formation of bubbles within the ***,the loading guidance is set to avoid certain overload temperatures as high temperature is the main cause of bubbles *** paper analyses the limit set within the loading guides,comparing the most commonly cited temperature limit of 140℃ with values taken from across the full spectra of available studies in *** is concluded that there is sufficient evidence for further investigation into formation of bubbles from transformer insulation as employing a single temperature limit may be *** of a single temperature value is unsuitable,given the wide range of potential scenarios that the transformer fleet can *** has become the go-to rationale that the moisture content of the solid insulation is the key driver for transformer bubbling *** is true,however,it is shown that other factors such as solid insulation aged condition(determined through degree of polymerisation value)and the insulation type are also important considerations.

At Mont Terri Underground Research Laboratory （URL） Switzerland, a specific experiment has been per- formed in a tunnel, in order to investigate the hydro-mechano-chemical （HMC） perturbations induced in the argillaceous formation by forced ventilation. This experiment has been selected in the international project DECOVALEX to be used for process model development and validation. The numerical simula- tion of the geochemical response to the ventilation experiment （VE） is the object of the present paper, focusing on the transport of chloride as a conservative species and sulphate as a reactive species. Uti- lising the validated hydro-mechanical （HM） results from earlier steps of the DECOVALEX task, reactive and non-reactive transport models, incorporating the current understanding of the geochemistry at the site, were successfully constructed for the whole experimental period. The associated parametric and process uncertainty analyses clearly demonstrate that the basic HM understanding must be sound. How- ever, to demonstrate this degree of robustness, the explicit inclusion of process representations of water desaturation, liquid vaporisation, species exclusion porosity, and redox processes, is required.

The creation of a suitable wide area monitoring system(WAMS) is widely recognized as an essential aspect of delivering a power system that will be secure,efficient and sustainable for the foreseeable future. In Great Britain(GB), the deployment of the first WAMS to monitor the entire power system in real time was the responsibility of the visualization of real time system dynamics using enhanced monitoring(VISOR) project. The core scope of the VISOR project is to deploy this WAMS and demonstrate how WAMS applications can in the near term provide system operators and planners with clear, actionable information. This paper presents the wider scope of the VISOR project and the GB wide WAMS that has been deployed. Furthermore, the paper describes some of the WAMS applications that have been deployed and provides examples of the measurement device performance issues that have been encountered during the project.
