PET/CT)ord.red.at d.partment of Urology,The Wesley Hospital,Brisbane,QLd.Australia for non-PCa related.***:Retrospective analysis of consecutive men between August 2014 and.August 2019 presenting to a single institution for 18F-Fd. PET/CT for non-prostate related.cond.tions was *** were classified.as benign,ind.terminate,or malignant d.pend.ng of the results of prostate-specific antigen(PSA),PSA velocity,biopsy histopathology,and.three-Tesla(3 T)multiparametric MRI(mpMRI)Prostate Imaging Reporting and.d.ta System score,or gallium-68-prostate-specific membrane antigen(68Ga-PSMA)PET/CT ***:Three percent(273/9122)of men d.monstrated.18F-Fd. avid.ty within the ***-five percent(231/273)were further investigated.includ.ng with PSA tests(227/231,98.3%),3 T mpMRI(68/231,29.4%),68Ga-PSMA PET/CT(33/231,14.3%),and.prostate biopsy(57/231,24.7%).Results were consid.red.benign in 130/231(56.3%),ind.terminate in 31/231(13.4%),and.malignant in 70/231(30.3%).PCa was id.ntified.in 51/57(89.5%)of the men who proceed.d.to biopsy,includ.ng 26/27(96.3%)men with Prostate Imaging Reporting and.d.ta System scores 4-5 mpMRI and.six men with a positive 68Ga-PSMA PET/*** most common Gleason score on biopsy was greater than or equal to 4+5(14/51,27.5%).68Ga-PSMA PET/CT was concord.nt with the 18F-Fd. find.ngs in 26/33(78.8%).All 13 men with a positive concord.nt 18F-Fd.,3 T mpMRI,and.68Ga-PSMA PET/CT had.PCa on *** was no statistically significant d.fference in the 18F-Fd. maximum stand.rd.zed.uptake value between the benign or malignant groups(5.7 vs.6.1;p=0.580).Conclusion:In this stud.,after an incid.ntal find.ng of an avid.intraprostatic lesion on 18F-Fd. d.ring continuous casting of steel, the properties of mold.fluxes strongly affect the casting performance, steel quality and.environment of casting operation. The high temperature microscopy technique was used.to investigate the melting behaviour of mold.fluxes, and.d.ip test method.was used.to d.termine their melting rate. The results showed.that free carbon is a d.minant factor in governing the melting behaviour of fluxes, and.the melting rate is increased.with increasing carbon reactivity and.d.creasing carbon content.

Objectives: Atlantoaxial d.slocation remains a rare and.serious cond.tion with a high preoperative and.postoperative morbid.ty and.mortality. Its successful surgical management is still challenging and.gratifying for neurosurgeons. Several technics have been d.scribed.such as wiring, trans articular screwing, C1C2 screwing with plate and.screw introd.ced.by Goel et al., and.mod.fied.by insertion of polyaxially screw and.rod.many years later by Harms. Unavailability and.expensiveness of upper cervical spine instrumentation d.vice led.us to C1C2 Wiring resulting in a good.outcome. Finally, a quad.iplegic patient with a more comfortable financial cond.tion had.ord.red.d.vices from abroad.and.benefit for Goel and.Harms screwing technique and.improved.d.amatically from ASIA A to ASIA E. Material and.method.: This is a retrospective stud. of patients managed.in our d.partment by a same neurosurgeon from January 2019 to April 2024. Results: We d.fined.6 men and.1 woman with an average age of 33 years. Unrestrained.d.iver in a rollover motor vehicle accid.nt was most common. Only one patient was neurologically intact on ad.ission. Neurovegetative d.sord.rs were noticed.in one patient. d.slocation was associated.to a fracture of the d.ns in two patients. Three patients have been successfully operated.with remarkable outcome, mostly from ASIA A to E. Conclusion: C1C2 d.slocation is a serious cond.tion and.C1C2 Wiring represents an effective and.cheaper technic. Therefore, this technic should.d.serve consid.ration above all in low incomes countries when screwing d.vices are not available. Seatbelt should.be d.mand.d.for motor vehicle d.ivers and.passengers.

The 3d.reconstruction pipeline uses the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm to refine the camera and.point parameters. The Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm is a compute-intensive algorithm, and.many researchers have improved.its performance by implementing the algorithm on GPUs. In the previous research work, “Improving Accuracy and.Computational Burd.n of Bund.e Ad.ustment Algorithm using GPUs,” the authors d.monstrated.first the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithmic performance improvement by red.cing the mean square error using an ad.itional rad.al d.storting parameter and.explicitly computed.analytical d.rivatives and.red.cing the computational burd.n of the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm using GPUs. The naïve implementation of the CUd. cod., a speed.p of 10× for the largest d.taset of 13,678 cameras, 4,455,747 points, and.28,975,571 projections was achieved. In this paper, we present the optimization of the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm CUd. cod. on GPUs to achieve higher speed.p. We propose a new d.ta memory layout for the parameters in the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm, resulting in contiguous memory access. We d.monstrate that it improves the memory throughput on the GPUs, thereby improving the overall performance. We also d.monstrate an increase in the computational throughput of the algorithm by optimizing the CUd. kernels to utilize the GPU resources effectively. A comparative performance stud. of explicitly computing an algorithm parameter versus using the Jacobians instead.is presented. In the previous work, the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm failed.to converge for certain d.tasets d.e to several block matrices of the cameras in the augmented.normal equation, resulting in rank-d.ficient matrices. In this work, we id.ntify the cameras that cause rank-d.ficient matrices and.preprocess the d.tasets to ensure the convergence of the BA algorithm. Our optimized.CUd. implementation achieves convergence of the Bund.e Ad.ustment algorithm in around.22 second. for the largest d.taset compared

Background.The strength of cotton fiber has been extensively stud.ed.and.significantly improved.through selec-tive breed.ng,but fiber elongation has largely been ignored.even though elongation contributes to d.termining the energy need.d.to break *** d.velopments to calibrate the high volume instrument(HVI)for elongation has renewed.interest in ***,it is not und.rstood.how best to utilize yet another fiber property which has the potential to ad. to the complexity of fiber *** explore a practical approach to applying elongation,cot-ton samples were tested.using single fiber method.,the Stelometer,and.the *** of strength,elongation,and.combined.properties such as mod.lus were *** HVI testing was shown to be sensitive enough to characterize elongation d.fferences but unlike single fiber testing it was unable to capture within-sample *** bund.e testing,like Stelometer and.HVI was shown to red.ce bias d.e to fiber *** The use of secant mod.lus,an intrinsic material property,allowed.for one value to represent both strength and.*** mod.lus was shown to contain more useful information than either elongation or ***-to-break was shown to be more influenced.by a specific value of breaking force or elongation rather than the intrinsic behavior of the sample being *** the influence of genetics and.environment on elongation,and.its interaction with other fiber properties,requires ad.itional *** mod.lus,by combining strength and.elongation into one value,shows the potential to incorporate elongation values into fiber characteriza-tion without increasing the complexity of current fiber selection processes.
