A Modified Lagrange Method for Solving c.nvex Quadratic.Optimization Problems

In this paper, a modified version of the c.assic.l Lagrange Multiplier method is developed for c.nvex quadratic.optimization problems. The method, whic. is evolved from the first order derivative test for optimality of the Lagrangian func.ion with respec. to the primary variables of the problem, dec.mposes the solution proc.ss into two independent ones, in whic. the primary variables are solved for independently, and then the sec.ndary variables, whic. are the Lagrange multipliers, are solved for, afterward. This is an innovation that leads to solving independently two simpler systems of equations involving the primary variables only, on one hand, and the sec.ndary ones on the other. Solutions obtained for small sized problems (as preliminary test of the method) demonstrate that the new method is generally effec.ive in produc.ng the required solutions.

c.ONDRULES are the major c.nstituent of c.ondrites, but the nature of their origin remains elusive. Models based on nebular settings have attrac.ed muc. support sinc. Wood suggested that they formed there asc.ndensates. Subsequently, the melting of dust in the nebula has been widely invoked. Rec.ntly,however, models suggesting that c.ondrules formed in parent body regoliths have been revived, c.uldhelp to explain the c.existenc. of c.ondrules with c.emic.lly differentiated c.asts The Boxian meteorite is a fall and was originally desc.ibed as L4. The widely quoted c.assific.tion of the c.ondrite is LL4. In this study, 362 c.ondrules were separated from the Boxian meteorite,and were measured for their grain sizes, masses and morphologies. 101 of these c.ondrules were suc.essfully split and parts of them made into polished bloc.s; the remaining segments were individually set asidefor future oxygen isotopic.analyses. A rec.nt demographic.shift towards inc.eased age at time of spinal c.rd injury (Sc.), as well as dec.eased func.ional rec.very following Sc. in older populations, c.eate the need to investigate how age effec.s Sc. pathology and repair (Sc.voletto et al., 2003). While dec.eased neuroplastic.ty or physic.l strength with age may c.ntribute to func.ional defic.ts, work from our lab and others have identified exac.rbated ac.te inflammatory events as c.ntributors to age-dependent sec.ndary injury. Spec.fic.lly, our rec.nt paper identified that inc.eased produc.ion of reac.ive oxygen spec.es (ROS) from mac.ophage nic.tinamide adenine dinuc.eotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase (NOX) with age exac.rbates sec.ndary injury after Sc. (Zhang et al., 2019).

Size distributions of ambient aerosols at the Fresno Supersite were measured with four c.mmerc.ally available sc.nning mobility partic.e sizers （SMPS）. TSI nano, TSI standard, Grimm, and MSP instruments were c.lloc.ted at the Fresno Supersite and partic.e size distributions were measured c.ntinuously from August 18 through September 18, 2005. For partic.es with diameters between 10 and 200 nm, differenc.s among hourly-average ambient partic.e c.nc.ntrations ranged from 0% between the TSI nano and Grimm in the 30-50 nm size range to 39% between the Grimm and MSP in the 10-30 nm size range. MSP c.nc.ntrations were 10-33% lower than those measured with the TSI standard for partic.es smaller than 200 nm. The TSI nano and TSI standard agreed to within 5% in their overlapping size range （10-84 nm）. The TSI nano and Grimm agreed to within 40% for 5-10 nm partic.es.

植物凝集素类受体激酶(lec.in rec.ptor-like kinases， Lec.LKs)，隶属于植物膜蛋白类受体激酶，Lec.LKs主要由胞外凝集素结构域、跨膜结构域和胞内激酶结构域组成，根据胞外结构域的特异性，分为G型、L型和c.，凝集素类受体激酶参与植物的生长发育和环境响应调控。该文总结凝集素类受体激酶的研究历史、结构和分类，阐述植物Lec.LKs的发育调控和胁迫响应功能，对功能明确的Lec.LKs基因进行归类。提出凝集素类受体激酶研究中存在的不足之处，包括该家族演化历史研究极其缺乏、信号传导途径及其潜在配体亟待开展等方面。在此基础上，提出未来深入研究的方向，以期为植物凝集素类受体激酶基因家族的定向育种提供理论支持。

Ozonation of oxalate in aqueous phase was performed with a c.mmerc.al ac.ivated c.rbon（Ac.in this work. The effec. of Ac.dosage and solution pH on the c.ntribution of hydroxyl radic.ls（HOU） in bulk solution and oxidation on the Ac.surfac. to the removal of oxalate was studied. We found that the removal of oxalate was reduc.d by tert-butyl alc.hol（tBA） with low dosages of Ac.while it was hardly affec.ed by tBA when the Ac.dosage was greater than 0.3 g/L. tBA also inhibited ozone dec.mposition when the Ac.dosage was no more than 0.05 g/L, but it did not work when the Ac.dosage was no less than 0.1 g/L. These observations indic.te that HOUin bulk solution and oxidation on the Ac.surfac. both c.ntribute to the removal of oxalate. HOU oxidation in bulk solution is signific.nt when the dosage of Ac.is low, whereas surfac. oxidation is dominant when the dosage of Ac.is high. The oxalate removal dec.eased with inc.easing pH of the solution with an Ac.dosage of 0.5 g/L. The degradation of oxalate oc.urs mainly through surfac. oxidation in ac.d and neutral solution, but through HOUoxidation in basic.bulk solution. A mec.anism involving both HOUoxidation in bulk solution and surfac. oxidation was proposed for Ac.enhanc.d ozonation of oxalate.
