Background To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a fast initiation of cooling to a target temperature of 35℃by means of transnasal cooling in patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion(LVO)undergoing endovascular thrombectomy(EVT).Methods Patients with an LVO onset of<24hour who had an indication for EVT were included in the *** cooling(RhinoChill)was initiated immediately after the patient was intubated for EVT and continued until an oesophageal target temperature of 35℃was *** was maintained with surface cooling for 6-hour postrecanalisation,followed by active rewarming(+0.2℃/hour).The primary outcome was defined as the time required to reach 35℃,while secondary outcomes comprised clinical,radiological and safety *** Twenty-two patients(median age,77 years)were included in the study(14 received additional thrombolysis,4 additional stenting of the proximal internal carotid artery).The median time intervals were 309min for last-seen-normal-to-groin,58min for door-to-cooling-initiation,65min for door-to-groin and 123min for *** target temperature of 35℃was reached within 30min(range 13–78min),corresponding to a cooling rate of 2.6℃/*** recanalisation,86%of the patients had a body temperature of≤35℃.The median National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale at admission was 15 and improved to 2 by day 7,and 68%of patients had a good outcome(modified Rankin Scale 0–2)at 3 *** complications included asymptomatic bradycardia(32%),pneumonia(18%)and asymptomatic haemorrhagic transformation(18%).Conclusion The combined application of hypothermia and thrombectomy was found to be feasible in sedated and ventilated *** events were comparable to those previously described for EVT in the absence of *** effect of this procedure will next be evaluated in the randomised COmbination of Targeted temperature management and Thrombectomy after acute Ischemic Stro

This study examined the potential health risks posed by the operation of 96 waste-to-energy(WtE)plants in 30 cities in the Bohai Rim of *** a sophisticated simulation approach,the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model coupled with the California Puff(CALPUFF)model,we obtained the spatial distribution of pollutants emitted by WtE plants in the *** indices(HI)and cancer risks(CR)were calculated for each plant using the United States Environmental Protection Agency's recommended *** results indicated that both HIs and CRs were generally low,with values below the accepted threshold of 1.0 and 1.0×10^(-6),***,the average HI and CR values for the entire study area were 2.95×10^(-3)and 3.43×10^(-7),***,some variability in these values was observed depending on the location and type of WtE plant.A thorough analysis of various parameters,such as waste composition,moisture content,and operating conditions,was conducted to identify the factors that influence the health risks associated with *** findings suggest that proper waste sorting and categorization,increased cost of construction,and elevated height of chimneys are effective strategies for reducing the health risks associated with ***,this study provides valuable insights into the potential health risks associated with WtE plants in the Bohai Rim region of *** findings can serve as useful guidelines for law enforcement wings and industry professionals seeking to minimize the risks associated with municipal solid waste(MSW)management and promote sustainable development.

If a first-order algebraic ODE is defined over a certain differential field,then the most elementary solution class,in which one can hope to find a general solution,is given by the adjunction of a single arbitrary constant to this *** of this type give rise to a particular kind of generic point—a rational parametrization—of an algebraic curve which is associated in a natural way to the ODE’s defining *** for the opposite direction,we show that a suitable rational parametrization of the associated curve can be extended to a general solution of the ODE if and only if one can find a certain automorphism of the solution *** automorphisms are determined by linear rational functions,i.e.,Möbius *** properties of rational parametrizations,in combination with the particular shape of such automorphisms,lead to a number of necessary conditions on the existence of general solutions in this solution ***,the desired linear rational function can be determined by solving a comparatively simple differential system over the ODE’s field of *** results hold for arbitrary differential fields of characteristic zero.

为解决超细粉掺合料在混凝土应用中出现的黏度大、流速时间长、易抓底、收缩大的问题,通过合成原料的选择以及调整合成工艺,合成了超细掺合料专用聚羧酸减水剂ZS-CX。结果表明,采用EPEG单体、合成起始温度15℃、滴加反应时间60 min,MAP用量为单体质量的0.6%时,制备的减水剂性能最佳。与市售减水剂相比,净浆流动度、混凝土坍落度和扩展度增大,倒筒排空时间更短,达到5 s,Zeta电位绝对值大,而且混凝土60 d电通量小于1000 C、收缩率降低30%以上。

Background:How do Orange River Francolins(Scleroptila levaillantoides) adapt to an intensive farming landscape with grass(grazing) camps and crop cultivation? To answer this question, a study was carried out in south-east of johannesburg in South Africa to clarify the interaction of francolins with a landscape consisting of land use ***:A transect-road of 45 km was traversed weekly during November 2015–October 2016 through flat maize(Zea mays) and cattle(Bos primigenius) grazing fields. Francolins were counted in three land use mosaic types along the transect-road(including the road):grass camps on both sides of the road(grass/grass edges); arable fields on both sides(arable/arable edges) and arable land on one side with grass camps on the opposite side of the road(arable/grass edges).Results:Francolins used all three mosaic types, but the arable/arable edges were least frequented. Nonetheless, the arable/arable edges played an important part:francolins, including females with chicks, moved along the arable/arable edges, which enabled contact between sub-populations, and the arable/arable edges provided temporary cover(e.g. stubble and maize plants) and ploughed firebreaks to forage(e.g. for bulbs).Conclusion:Cultivation of crop within grasslands does not constrain breeding, movement and habitat use by the Orange River Francolin. For conservation purposes it is critical that the fine-scale mosaic of grazing and cultivation areas remain intact.

Background: The mating system of the korhaans and bustards in southern Africa is either based on polygyny or monogamy. The Red-crested Korhaan(Lophotis ruficrista) has been described as polygynous but otherwise very little is known about its breeding biology. The aims were to describe the population structure and male behavior during ***: The data collected for this paper was mainly based on field transect surveys carried out in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The population structure of the Red-crested Korhaan in the temperate Borakalalo Game Reserve(BGR)was compared with that in the arid Molopo Nature Reserve(MNR)(both situated in the North West province of South Africa). The study was mainly conducted in the BGR but additional work was conducted in the MNR for ***: The difference in mean group sizes between MNR(1.03) and BGR(1.07) was statistically not *** sizes were not affected by climate despite the fact that the BGR received about 650 mm precipitation per annum and the MNR about 200 mm. In both reserves the apparent sex ratios were skewed in favor of males(1:0.29 in the BGR and 1:0.1 in the MNR). The population was dispersed in a clumped manner which is ascribed to the formation of leks. Leks were positioned in open habitat while females invariably concealed themselves under ***: The leks formed the pivot of the mating system of the Red-crested Korhaan and are identifiable social structures that field ecologists can use to monitor population stability.
