In this paper we have presented a novel approach to predict dissolved oxygen in prawn *** is necessary to maintain dissolved oxygen above a certain level in the ponds for expected growth and survival of the *** accurate prediction of dissolved oxygen can assist farmers to take necessary measures to maintain dissolved oxygen levels ideal for prawn *** approaches to dissolved oxygen prediction performs well on short term,however incurs high error on long term *** propose a new approach where a group of predictors are developed where each model predicts a certain time stamps *** predictor is trained on sampled data so that it predicts a step ahead prediction only,however,the sampling process decides on the actual number of time stamp ahead *** step ahead predictor acts like a short term predictor,it incurs small error even at higher time stamp ahead *** results demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves significantly lower error on long term prediction compared to other existing approaches.

Background: Reported are increased risks for malignant transformation in human oral keratinocytes (HOK) from ethyl alcohol (ETOH), tobacco products or human papilloma virus oncogenic subtype 16 (HPV 16) infections. We examined various HOK cell responses to these factors to show inhibitors of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) also inhibits furin;proprotein convertase (FC) and HPV 16 entry in HOK. Methods: Immortalized HOK by HPV 16 (HPV 16B) or human telomerase (hTERT);primary foreskin keratinocytes (NHFK), primary HOK, buccal keratinocytes (NHBK) and oral SCC-25 were treated with dibenz[a,l]pyrene (dBP), anthraquinone;nitrosamine (NNAL) or ethyl alcohol (ETOH) and acetaldehyde (AA). ETOH was tested for synthesis of malondialdehyde (MdA) and alcohol dehydrogenase expression (AdH). ETOH, and PAH were evaluated by Western immunoblot for oncogene changes, and phosphorylated EGFR expression. Inhibition of EGFR by WZ4002 and Erlotinib and/or carcinogens effect on HPV 16 entry were studied. A green fluorescent pseudovirus (PsV);chloromethylketone (CMK) an inhibitor of furin activity and Western immunoblot of furin cell distribution further characterized HPV 16 entry. Results: ETOH (10 μM) increased expression of phosphorylated EGFR and HPV 16 entry through furin activity, and membrane, nuclear and cytoskeletal accumulations. CMK suppressed HPV 16 entry and blockage of AdH while aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALdH) enhanced HPV 16 entry. Similarly PAH, dBP (4-8 nM), anthraquinone (98 nM) and NNAL (6.9 μM) enhanced HPV 16 entry through furin activity and membrane, nuclear and cytoskeletal accumulations. Furthermore, WZ4002 and Erlotinib suppressed expressions of phosphorylated EGFR, FC activity, and HPV 16 entry. ETOH and dBP treatments also enhanced expressions of protease activated receptor-1 (PAR-1), and p21waf1 while depressed p16 and p27KIP1 expressions in HOK/HPV 16B cells. Conclusion: EGFR inhibitors are candidates for suppression of alcohol and tobacco effects on EGFR

This paper introduces a non-assembly manufacturing case with microstereolithography technology. The design and manufacturing process of a pneumatic thrust bearing is described, and a special tessellation method is developed to further improve the capability of the manufacturing system thus bigger products can also be easily manufactured. Implemented in a layer-by-layer fashion, stereolithography has been used for the rapid manufacturing of complex devices, and it avoids the expensive assembly process in the traditional manufacturing. This paper presents that microstereolithography can produce high-resolution products with intricate details, small openings, and smooth surfaces. The potential of the microstereolithograhy technique is explored for the rapid manufacturing of small and complex objects.

A West Kentucky mine operation in No. 11 seam encountered floor heave, due to the localized increase in the thickness of the fireclay mine floor. Floor heave has overridden seals installed in two mined out panels. The third seal's location was planned for isolating that area from the Mains. A plan of support has been developed to prevent repetition of the floor heave and related problems outby the seals. The applied ground control measures were successful. An attempt of a 3d numerical modeling was made; thus, it would match the observed behavior of the mine floor and could be used as a design tool in similar conditions. The paper describes sequence of events, an applied mitigation ground control system, and the first stage of numerical modeling.

In the last two years, we have seen a remarkable intensification in the response to AIdS in China. A number of organizations have joined and contributed to the efforts of the Chinese government in responding the AIdS epidemic in China. This article specifically describes the role of the United Nations in supporting and strengthening those responses. Achievements of the United Nations highlighted in the article include: strengthened leadership and political commitment to respond to AIdS; improved HIV/AIdS surveillance and information; expanded prevention efforts; improved treatment, care and support to people living with HIV and increased resources for AIdS programs. Additional roles of the UN system in the near future include strengthening national leadership by supporting the ‘three ones’, i.e., one national plan on AIdS; one national coordinating authority for AIdS; and one monitoring and evaluation system for AIdS. In addition, the UN system is expected to strengthen alignment and harmonization of activities of all international organizations and improved accountability and oversight. Remaining challenges identified include increasing awareness of AIdS and reducing stigma and discrimination; reducing vulnerability and risk behaviour among specific groups; providing im- proved treatment, care and support for people living with HIV; promoting stronger engagement by civil society, and; addressing the gender dimensions of AIdS.
