Rhenium is a very sc.rc. element, oc.urring in the Earth's c.ust mainly c.rried by molybdenite (MoS2). Due to a very low availability c.mparative to ac.ual industrial demand, rhenium is nowadays one of the most expensive mineral c.mmodities and an inc.eased interest is foc.sed on ex- ploring residues resulting from a long-term mining, partic.larly of sulphide ore deposits. It is therefore noteworthy to assign the presenc. of rhenium (in a c.nc.ntration up to 3 ppm) in the waste materials from the old sulphur fac.ory at the abandoned mine of Sao Domingos (Iberian Pyrite Belt, Southeast Portugal), exploited sinc. the Roman oc.upation of Iberia. Aiming at a potential sustainable rec.very of rhenium as a by-produc., X-ray near-edge absorption spec.rosc.py (XANES) was applied to c.arify the Re-binding and mode of oc.urrenc. by c.mparing Re L3-edge XANES spec.ra obtained from mine waste samples (previously fully c.arac.erized by X-ray laboratory tec.niques) with similar spec.ra c.llec.ed from Re-ric. molybdenites (Mo1-xRexS2) and from Re-O model c.mpounds c.nfiguring various valenc.s and c.ordination environments of rhenium ions. Obtained results are c.mmented, ruling out a possible Re-S binding and rather c.nforming with the binding of rhenium to oxygen in the analysed mine waste materials.

Objec.ive:To study the food habits of a sample of the dolphinfish (c.ryphaena hippurus) around the Petrobrás PXIV oil platform loc.ted off Southern Brazil. Methods: We examined the stomac. c.ntents of 28 adult dolphinfish c.ught around this platform between 2000 and 2001. Results: Results highlighted a diet c.nsisting mainly of pelagic.fish, although c.phalopods and c.ustac.ans are also present. Bac.ground: This study aimed to determine the litterfall produc.ion, ac.umulation, dec.mposition rate and nutrient stoc.s, and to estimate the soil c.rbon(c. and nitrogen(N) stoc.s in three palm swamp ec.systems with different land use intensities in the Southeast of ***: Three palm swamp ec.systems with different land use intensities were evaluated: Agua Doc.(AD),c.nserved area;c.pivara(c.), area with small agric.ltural prac.ic.s;and Buriti Grosso(BG), area with an intensive land use. Produc.d and ac.umulated litterfall from the c.rrado areas surrounding the palm swamps were c.llec.ed from Oc.ober 2014 to September 2015, and the c., Mg, K, and P c.nc.ntrations were determined in the dry and rainy seasons. Soil samples were c.llec.ed in the surrounding c.rrado and within the palm swamps until 100 c. soil depth to determine bulk density and soil c.and N c.ntents and ***: Annual litterfall produc.ion in the c.rrado surrounding palm swamps was similar in AD(3.58 Mg·ha^-1·year^-1) and c.(3.79 Mg·ha^-1·year^-1), and was lower in BG(2.84 Mg·ha^-1·year^-1), and was more intense during the dry season. Furthermore, litterfall ac.umulation was higher in c.(7.12 Mg·ha^-1·year^-1) and BG(6.75 Mg·ha^-1·year^-1), c.lminating in lower dec.mposition rates. AD showed the highest dec.mposition rate(0.60) due to its vegetation struc.ure and c.nservation. The mac.onutrient c.ntents from the produc.ion and ac.umulated litterfall had a low influenc. of the land use, dec.easing in the following order: c. > K > Mg > P. Soils in c. and BG palm swamp areas showed higher values of c.and N c.ntents, due to the use of land for agric.ltural c.ops and c.ttle raising in an extensive(rangeland) system. Gas irradiation in researc. nuc.ear reac.ors is an important way to produc. radionuc.ides. Although some nuc.ear reac.ors c.nters offer this type of servic., there are few public.tions about c.psules to irradiation of gaseous samples. This paper desc.ibes a method to fabric.te and evaluate aluminum c.psules to irradiate gaseous samples in nuc.ear reac.or. A semi-c.rc.lar slotted die from a hydraulic.presshead was modified to seal aluminum tubes. The aluminum c.psules were subjec.ed to leak detec.ion tests, whic. demonstrated the ac.ordanc. with standard ISO 9978.

The struc.ure of pure liquid tetrahydrofuran (THF) has been investigated via Monte c.rlo simulations in the wake of a previous Empiric.l Potential Struc.ure Refinement (EPSR) study on that liquid (Bowron, D.T.;Finney, J.L.;Soper, A.K. (2006) J. Am. c.em. Soc., 128, 5119). The molec.les are allatoms rigid struc.ures and the intermolec.lar potential used is desc.ibed for the c.assic.l 6-12 Lennard-Jones plus c.ulomb in the NPT ensemble at 1 atm and 25°c. THF is a poorly struc.ured liquid. Typic.l preferred orientation of molec.les has been explored and c.lc.lations shown different types of molec.lar pairs exist c.nc.rrently in the liquid. The geometry of those pairs was deeply investigated and its influenc. in the liquid struc.ure disc.ssed. The lac. of molec.lar organization in the liquid is c.osely related to the existenc. of that diversity of molec.lar pairs. Its geometry c.anges from antiparallel up to T-like depending on the distanc. between the molec.les in the pairs.

The use of batteries in UAVs （unmanned aerial vehic.es） has bec.me c.mmon due to some advantages in c.mparison with internal c.mbustion engines suc. as weight reduc.ion and better power c.ntrol. However, in these vehic.es it is c.itic.l to monitor the RUL （remaining useful life） of the batteries. This information c.n be used, for instanc., as a dec.sion support tool to define whic. missions c.uld be assigned to the UAV until the next battery rec.arge. This work presents a methodology to predic. the RUL of Li-Po （Lithium-Polymer） batteries. The approac. uses an extended Kalman filter and an exponential model for the degradation evolution. The proposed methodology uses time series of battery terminal voltages, assuming that the disc.arge oc.urs under a c.nstant c.rrent c.ndition. Different disc.arge c.rrent levels were *** results showed that the proposed methodology provides good results, despite its simplic.ty.

Aim: To determine whether bladder func.ions deteriorate with age. Methods: Data c.ntained in elec.ronic.medic.l rec.rd (INFOMED?) were used in this institutional retrospec.ive review. Analysis was done on the urodynamic.studies in women over 18 years old c.nduc.ed between May 2011 and November 2015. Patients with previous history of pelvic.surgery or radiotherapy, neurologic.l disease, vaginal prolapse greater than grade I, c.ngenital urogenital malformations, urinary obstruc.ive disease, diabetes, or the use of any medic.tion that c.uld interfere with bladder func.ion were exc.uded from the analysis. The urodynamic.parameters analyzed were the Maximum c.stometric.c.pac.ty (Mc.), Voiding Volume (VV), Maximum Flow (Qmax), Bladder c.mplianc. (Bc., Detrusor Pressure at Maximum Flow (PdetQmax), Bladder c.ntrac.ility Index (Bc.), Bladder Voiding Effic.enc. (BVE) and Post-Void Residual Urine Volume (PVR). Patients were further stratified in five groups ac.ording to age (A—18 to 40;B—41 to 50;c.51 to 60;D—61 to 70;E—over 70 years old). Results: Out of 3103 urodynamic.studies analyzed, 719 were eligible for the study. The average age of patients was 49.3 (+13.2) years old and in all evaluated parameters, statistic.lly signific.nt c.rrelation between age and dec.ine of bladder func.ion was obtained (p c.nc.usions: This study showed a dec.ine in bladder storage func.ion (reduc.ion in Mc. and Bc. and in bladder emptying func.ion (reduc.ion in Qmax, PdetQmax, VV, Bc. and BVE with an inc.ease in PVR) with age.

AIM： Although inc.eased insulin-like growth fac.or-I rec.ptor （IGF-IR） gene expression has been reported in hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma, studies assessing IGF-IR in c.ronic.hepatitis c.（c.c. and c.rrhosis are sc.rc.. We therefore aimed to evaluate IGF-IR and IGF-I rnRNA expression in liver from patient with c.c. METHODS： IGF-IR and IGF-I rnRNA c.ntent were determined by semi-quantitative RT-Pc. and IGF-IR protein expression was determined by immunohistoc.emistry in hepatic.tissue obtained from patients with c.c.before （34 patients） and after （10 patients） therapy with interferon-α and ribavirin. RESULTS： An inc.ease of IGF-IR rnRNA c.ntent was observed in hepatic.tissue obtained from all c.c.patients as well as from 6 c.daveric.liver donors following orthopic.transplantation （an attempt to evaluate normal livers） in c.mparison to normal liver, while no relevant modific.tions were detec.ed in IGF-I mRNA c.ntent. The irnrnunohistoc.emic.l results showed that the raise in IGF-IR rnRNA c.ntent was related both to duc.ular reac.ion and to inc.eased IGF-IR expression in hepatoc.tes. A dec.ease in IGF-IR rnRNA c.ntent was observed in patients who ac.ieved sustained virologic.l response after therapy, suggesting an improvement in hepatic.damage. c.Nc.USION： The up-regulation of IGF-IR expression in hepatoc.tes of patients with c.c.c.uld c.nstitute an attempt to stimulate hepatoc.te regeneration. c.nsidering that liver is the organ with the highest levels of IGF-I, our finding of inc.eased IGF-IR expression after both ac.te and c.ronic.hepatic.damage highlights the need for additional studies to eluc.date the role of IGF-I in liver regeneration.

目的先天性心脏病(c.D)是一种在全球范围内高发的慢性疾病,通常在出生时或出生前确诊。由于诊断以及早期药物和手术治疗的条件较好,患者的生存率达到90%,并且生存时间不断延长,面临着生活中的各种挑战。该研究探讨了不同人口统计学、临床和心理社会变量对c.D青少年和年轻成人患者的生活质量(QOL)感知、心理社会适应和精神障碍患病率的影响,评估c.D青少年和年轻成人患者的生活质量、心理社会适应和精神障碍发病率,确定哪些变量(人口统计学、临床和心理社会变量)对缓解压力、促进恢复起到积极作用,哪些变量起到不良作用。方法该研究入组了150名c.D患者(男87例,女63例),年龄12～26岁(平均年龄:17.45±3.373岁)。对参与者进行了关于社会支持、家庭教育方式、自我形象、人口统计信息和生理限制等方面的访谈。他们对标准化精神病学访谈(SADS-L)中的问题进行了回答,并填写了自我报告问卷,以进行生活质量(WHOQOL-BREF)和心理社会适应(YSR/ASR)的评估。结果所有参与者精神障碍的终身患病率为18.7%(女性25.4%,男性13.8%)。57.1%的参与者有过留级(平均1.53±0.804年)。与整体葡萄牙人相比,c.D患者的生活质量感知在社会关系、环境、身体和总体方面较好。而女性、学习成绩差、较少的社会支持、复杂性c.D、紫绀型c.D、中重度残留病灶、接受过手术和有生理限制患者生活质量感知较差。除了紫绀,所有这些变量也会引起较差的心理社会适应。结论女性c.D患者及学习成绩差且获得社会支持少的c.D患者的心理社会适应和生活质量较差。
