Numerical analysis of magnetization AC losses in high-temperature superconducting slabs subjected to uniform strains

High-temperature superconductors in superconductor apparatuses are subjected to mechanical strains under operating *** strains cause the degradation of the critical current densities and influence AC losses in the *** on the dynamic process of thermomagnetic interaction,we report the results of numerical analysis of AC losses in an infinite high-temperature superconducting slab subjected to a uniform in-plane strain in an alternating external magnetic field parallel to the sample *** numerical analysis shows the details of electromagnetic phenomena in the slab and the dependences of AC loss on various external parameters including the uniform strain in the slab and the amplitude and frequency of the external magnetic *** this paper,we find that whether the magnetic field fully penetrates the superconductor is the key factor that influences the features of AC *** the magnetic field cannot fully penetrate the superconductor,the loss rises with increasing strain or decreasing *** the magnetic field can fully penetrate the superconductor,the feature is just *** also analyze the effects of periodic strain on AC *** is interesting to find that when the periodic strain frequency equals the external magnetic field frequency,the AC loss reaches the maximum,regardless if the magnetic field fully penetrates the superconductor or not.

Carbon-based materials with tunable properties have emerged as promising candidates to replace Pt-based catalysts for accelerating oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in fuel cells or metal-air *** this work,we constructed a carbon hybrid which consists of one-dimensional(1D)carbon nanotubes and flake-like carbons by pyrolysis of leaf-like metal-organic *** optimal hybrid electrocatalyst of Fe_(7%)-L-CNT-900 possesses the desired features for ORR,including active Fe species,high degree of graphitization,large specific surface area,and hierarchical porous ***,Fe_(7%)-L-CNT900 performs a high electrocatalytic activity for ORR with a half-wave potential of 0.88 V,which is comparable to that of Pt/C(20 wt.%).This strategy provides an insight into the investigation of highly efficient and low-cost composite electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction.

In this study a cisplatin-loaded, multilayered polylactide （PLA） electrospun nanofibers, with the structure of two layers of drug-loaded mat being sandwiched by three layers of blank mat, were designed for prolonged cisplatin release at surgical margin to prevent local cancer recurrence following surgical resection in a murine model. In vivo drug release and biodistribution study suggested that the multilayered fibrous mat displayed a slower cisplatin release behavior and a more stable drug rentention in the local tissue within 24 h than that of single-layered fibrous mat. By covering the surgical site with the multilayered fibrous mat following resection of subcutaneous liver cancer in mice, retarded tumor recurrence, prolonged survival time and less systemic toxicity were observed compared with other treatment groups.

Up to now,three kinds of ion-storage mechanisms are summarized towards anode materials in lithium/sodium-ion batteries,but they have low capacity and poor cyclic ***,it is necessary to develop a new approach to optimize ion ***,we report an adsorption/desorption storage route through engineering electronic structure of cation-deficient Ti_(1-x)O_(2)***_(1-x)O_(2)nanosheets indeed exhibit higher capacity(332.1 mA h g^(-1)vs.137.7 mA h g^(-1)for LIBs,195.7 mA h g^(-1)vs.111 mA h g^(-1)for SIBs),and more stable cyclic performance(296 mA h g^(-1)vs.99 mA h g^(-1)for LIBs,178.1 mA h g^(-1)vs.80.2 mA h g^(-1)for SIBs after 100 cycles)at 0.1 A g^(-1)than TiO_(2)*** analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that electronic structures of vacancy within Ti_(1-x)O_(2) nanosheets encourage a novel adsorption-desorption storage *** results highlight the benefits of the engineered electronic structures within electrode material and implement novel ion-storage mechanism towards broad energy storage applications.

Micro/nano-porous polymeric material is considered a unique industrial material due to its extremelylow thermal conductivity, low density, and high surface area. Therefore, it is necessary to establishan accurate thermal conductivity prediction model suiting their applicable conditions and provide atheoretical basis for expanding their applications. In this work, the development of the calculationmodel of equivalent thermal conductivity of micro/nano-porous polymeric materials in recent yearsis summarized. Firstly, it reviews the process of establishing the overall equivalent thermal conductivity calculation model for micro/nanoporous polymers. Then, the predicted calculation models ofthermal conductivity are introduced separately according to the conductive and radiative thermalconductivity models. In addition, the thermal conduction part is divided into the gaseous thermalconductivity model, solid thermal conductivity model and gas-solid coupling model. Finally, it isconcluded that, compared with other porous materials, there are few studies on heat transfer of micro/nanoporous polymers, especially on the particular heat transfer mechanisms such as scale effectsat the micro/nanoscale. In particular, the following aspects of porous polymers still need to be furtherstudied: micro scaled thermal radiation, heat transfer characteristics of particular morphologies at thenanoscales, heat transfer mechanism and impact factors of micro/nanoporous polymers. Such studieswould provide a more accurate prediction of thermal conductivity and a broader application in energyconversion and storage systems.

Recent developments in the synthesis of graphene-based structures focus on continuous improvement of porous nanostructures,doping of thin films,and mechanisms for the construction of threedimensional ***,we synthesize creeper-like Ni3Si2/NiOOH/graphene nanostructures via low-pressure all-solid meltingreconstruction chemical vapor *** a carbon-rich atmosphere,high-energy atoms bombard the Ni and Si surface,and reduce the free energy in the thermodynamic equilibrium of solid Ni–Si particles,considerably catalyzing the growth of Ni–Si *** controlling the carbon source content,a Ni3Si2 single crystal with high crystallinity and good homogeneity is stably *** measurements indicate that the nanostructures exhibit an ultrahigh specific capacity of 835.3 C g^−1(1193.28 F g^−1)at 1 A g^−1;when integrated as an all-solidstate supercapacitor,it provides a remarkable energy density as high as 25.9 Wh kg^−1 at 750 W kg^−1,which can be attributed to the freestanding Ni3Si2/graphene skeleton providing a large specific area and NiOOH inhibits insulation on the electrode surface in an alkaline solution,thereby accelerating the electron exchange *** growth of the high-performance composite nanostructure is simple and controllable,enabling the large-scale production and application of microenergy storage devices.

Peritoneal carcinomatosis(PC)of colorectal cancer(CRC)is a terminal phase of malignancy with no effective strategies for the prevention of this *** we established PC models in mice by intraperitoneal engraftment of CRC cells and revealed an unexpected role for a high-fat diet(HFD)in preventing metastatic seeding in the visceral ***,the HFD stimulated the activation of adipose tissue macrophages(ATMs)toward an M1-like phenotype and enhanced ATM tumor phagocytosis in a TLR4-dependent ***,the TLR4–Cxcl10 axis in ATMs promoted T cell recruitment,and M1-like macrophages stimulated T cell activation in tumor-seeded *** inhibitory effect of the HFD on tumor seeding was abolished with the ablation of macrophages,inactivation of T cells,or blockade of the TLR4–Cxcl10 axis in ***,we showed that a HFD and conventional chemotherapeutic agents(oxaliplatin or 5-fluorouracil)synergistically improved the survival of tumor-seeded ***,our findings demonstrate that peritoneal seeding of CRC can be suppressed by short-term treatment with a HFD in the early phase,providing a novel concept for the management of these patients in the clinic.

The sixth generation(6G)mobile network is envisaged to be commercially deployed around 2030,which will profoundly change people's lifestyles and accelerate the digitalization of *** ensure that the requirements of 6G can be achieved,it is essential to establish a set of key performance indicators(KPIs).This paper comprehensively assesses the KPIs not only from the service requirements but also from the technical feasibility points of ***,theoretical derivations of KPIs have been clarified,and numerical evaluations have been conducted with reasonable technical *** results show that some KPIs defined from the service requirements can be improved through advanced technologies while some are still challenging for practical implementations,such as Tbps-level peak data rate and 0.1 ms user plane *** addition,it is also necessary to comply with multiple KPIs for some ***,based on the technical analysis,the potential enabling technologies are outlined and foreseeable implementation challenges as well as possible solutions are presented,which promotes a more reasonable design for 6G mobile network.

A new γ-alkylated-γ-butyrolactone, named melongenolide A(1), along with nine known compounds were obtained from the roots of Solanum melongena, and their structures were identified as melongenolide A(1),(+)-syringaresinol(2),(+)- lyoniresinol(3), 5,5′-dimethoxy lariciresinol(4),(+)-(7R,8R)-4-hydroxy-3,3′,5′-trimethoxy-8′,9′-dinor-8,4′-oxyneoligna-7, 9-diol-7′- aldehyde(5), kaempferol-3-O-(2′′,6′′-di-O-p-trans-coumaroyl)-β-glucoside(6), arjunolic acid(7), vanillic acid(8), scoparone(9), and β-sitosterol(10). Compounds 2, 6, and 7 showed potent inhibitory effects on nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages, with IC50 values being 5.62 ± 0.86, 11.47 ± 0.98, and 27.75 ± 1.26 μmol·L-1, respectively.
