Predictive defect detection for prototype additive manufacturing based on multi-layer susceptibility discrimination

This paper presents a predictive defect detection method for prototype additive manufacturing(AM)based on multilayer susceptibility discrimination(MSD).Most current methods are significantly limited by merely captured images,disregarding the differences between layer-by-layer manufacturing approaches,without combining transcendental *** visible parts,originating from the prototype of conceptual design,are determined based on spherical flipping and convex hull theory,on the basis of which theoretical template image(TTI)is rendered according to photorealistic *** addition,to jointly consider the differences in AM processes,the finite element method(FEM)of transient thermal-structure coupled analysis was conducted to probe susceptible regions where defects appeared with a higher *** by prior knowledge acquired from the FEM analysis,the MSD with an adaptive threshold,which discriminated the sensitivity and susceptibility of each layer,was implemented to determine *** anomalous regions were detected and refined by superimposing multiple-layer anomalous regions and comparing the structural features extracted using the Chan-Vese(CV)model.A physical experiment was performed via digital light processing(DLP)with photosensitive resin of a non-faceted scaled V-shaped engine block prototype with cylindrical holes using a non-contact *** MSD method is practical for detecting defects and is valuable for a deeper exploration of barely visible impact damage(BVID),thereby reducing the defect of prototypical mechanical parts in engineering machinery or process equipment via intellectualized machinevision.

The soaring demand for smart portable electronics and electric vehicles is propelling the advancements in high-energy–density lithium-ion *** manganese iron phosphate (LiMnxFe1-xPO4) has garnered significant attention as a promising positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its advantages of low cost,high safety,long cycle life,high voltage,good high-temperature performance,and high energy *** LiMnxFe1-xPO4has made significant breakthroughs in the past few decades,there are still facing great challenges in poor electronic conductivity and Li-ion diffusion,manganese dissolution affecting battery cycling performance,as well as low tap *** review systematically summarizes the reaction mechanisms,various synthesis methods,and electrochemical properties of LiMnxFe1-xPO4to analyze reaction processes accurately and guide material ***,the main challenges currently faced are concluded,and the corresponding various modification strategies are discussed to enhance the reaction kinetics and electrochemical performance of LiMnxFe1-xPO4,including multi-scale particle regulation,heteroatom doping,surface coating,as well as microscopic morphology ***,in view of the current research challenges faced by intrinsic reaction processes,kinetics,and energy storage applications,the promising research directions are *** importantly,it is expected to provide key insights into the development of high-performance and stable LiMnxFe1-xPO4materials,to achieve practical energy storage requirements.

The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

Identifying Neighborhood Effects on Geohazard Adaptation in Mountainous Rural Areas of China:A Spatial Econometric Model

In mountainous rural settlements facing the threat of geohazards,local adaptation is a self-organizing process influenced by individual and group *** a wide range of local populations to embrace geohazard adaptation strategies emerges as a potent means of mitigating disaster *** purpose of this study was to investigate whether neighbors influence individuals'adaptation decisions,as well as to unravel the mechanisms through which neighborhood effects exert their *** employed a spatial Durbin model and a series of robustness checks to confirm the *** dataset used in this research came from a face-to-face survey involving 516 respondents residing in 32 rural settlements highly susceptible to *** empirical results reveal that neighborhood effects are an important determinant of adaptation to *** is,a farmer's adaptation decision is influenced by the adaptation choices of his/her ***,when neighbors adopt adaptation strategies,the focal individuals may also want to adapt,both because they learn from their neighbors'choices(social learning)and because they tend to abide by the majority's choice(social norms).Incorporating neighborhood effects into geohazard adaptation studies offers a new perspective for promoting disaster risk reduction decision making.

Solidification Microstructure of Laser Additive Manufactured Ti—6Al—2Zr—2Sn—3Mo—1.5Cr—2Nb Titanium Alloy

Solidification microstructure of powder fed laser additive manufactured Ti-6Al--2Zr--2Sn--3Mo--1.5Cr--2Nb titanium alloy was investigated, The results showed that by deliberately increasing the powder feed rate, partially melted powders were retained at the top of the molten pool, which can promote heteroge- neous nucleus. Thus, each cladding layer is composed of two regions：（i） randomly orientated cellular structure region caused by partially melted powders at the top of each cladding layer; and （ii） epitaxial cellular structure region adjacent to the fusion line. Usually, randomly orientated cellular structure region was totally remelted for a wide range of process conditions. The remelting effect ensures the continuity of epitaxial growth of cellular structure and leads to the formation of columnar β grains, In order to obtain equiaxed grains the scanning velocity and powder feed rate should be carefully selected to enlarge the randomly orientated cellular structure region,

A novel approach of testability modeling and analysis for PHM systems based on failure evolution mechanism

Prognostics and health management （PHM） significantly improves system availability and reliability, and reduces the cost of system operations. Design for testability （DFT） developed concurrently with system design is an important way to improve PHM capability. Testability modeling and analysis are the foundation of DFT. This paper proposes a novel approach of testability modeling and analysis based on failure evolution mechanisms. At the component level, the fault progression-related information of each unit under test （UUT） in a system is obtained by means of failure modes, evolution mechanisms, effects and criticality analysis （FMEMECA）, and then the failure-symptom dependency can be generated. At the system level, the dynamic attributes of UUTs are assigned by using the bond graph methodology, and then the symptom-test dependency can be obtained by means of the functional flow method. Based on the failure-symptom and symptom-test dependencies, testability analysis for PHM systems can be realized. A shunt motor is used to verify the application of the approach proposed in this paper. Experimental results show that this approach is able to be applied to testability modeling and analysis for PHM systems very well, and the analysis results can provide a guide for engineers to design for testability in order to improve PHM performance.

Moment Redistribution Effect of the Continuous Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer-Concrete Composite Slabs Based on Static Loading Experiment

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

Synergistically enhanced ORR and HER performance on Co-N-C coupled in-situ generated PtCo intermetallic

Integrating multi-scale sites in a composite catalyst is vital to realize efficient ***,a synergistic composite catalyst consisting of Co atomic sites and in-situ generated PtCo intermetallic compounds （IMCs）(o-PtCo@CoNC) is proposed through Co pre-anchoring and subsequent impregnation-reduction *** loading of Co atoms provides a chance for in-situ generating PtCo ordered intermetallic *** remaining Co single atoms and PtCo IMCs construct synergistic electrocatalytic *** from the ordered structure,synergistic effect of Pt Co IMCs and Co single atoms,o-PtCo@CoNC exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performance for oxygen reduction reaction （ORR） and hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） with mass activity of 1.21 A mgPt-1（at 0.9 V） and5.70 A mgPt-1（at an overpotential of 100 mV）,***,o-PtCo@CoNC delivers negligible loss of half-wave potential and overpotential during long-term stability test in acid solutions,with 13 mV decay after 50,000 potential cycles for ORR and a 2.7 mV decay after 20,000 potential cycles for *** integration strategy of single-atomic sites coupled IMCs paves the way for enhancing the activity and durability of Pt-based electrocatalysts.

DropConnect Regularization Method with Sparsity Constraint for Neural Networks

Drop Connect is a recently introduced algorithm to prevent the co-adaptation of feature *** to Dropout, Drop Connect gains state-of-the-art results on several image recognition benchmarks. Motivated by the success of Drop Connect, we extended this algorithm with the ability of sparse feature selection. In Drop Connect algorithm, the dropping masks of weights are generated using Bernoulli gating variables that are independent of the weights and activations. We introduce a new strategy to generate masks depending on the outputs of previous layer. Using this method, neurons which are promising to produce sparser features will be assigned a bigger possibility to keep active in the forward and backward propagations. We then evaluate such sparsity constrained Drop Connect on MNIST and CIFAR datasets in comparison with ordinary Drop Connect and Dropout method. The results show that our new method improves the sparsity of features significantly, while not degrading the precision.

Demyelination and remyelination have been major focal points in the study of peripheral nerve regeneration following peripheral nerve ***,the gene regulatory network of regenerated myelin differs from that of native *** of enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)hinders the differentiation,maturation,and myelination of Schwann cells in *** further determine the role of EZH2 in myelination and recovery post-peripheral nerve injury,conditional knockout mice lacking Ezh2 in Schwann cells(Ezh2^(fl/fl);Dhh-Cre and Ezh2^(fl/fl);Mpz-Cre)were *** results show that a significant proportion of axons in the sciatic nerve of Ezh2-depleted mice remain *** highlights the crucial role of Ezh2 in initiating Schwann cell ***,we observed that 21 days after inducing a sciatic nerve crush injury in these mice,most axons had remyelinated at the injury site in the control nerve,while Ezh2^(fl/fl);Mpz-Cre mice had significantly fewer remyelinated axons compared with their wild-type *** suggests that the absence of Ezh2 in Schwann cells impairs myelin formation and *** conclusion,EZH2 has emerged as a pivotal regulatory factor in the process of demyelination and myelin regeneration following peripheral nerve *** EZH2 activity during these processes may offer a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries.
