Bias distribution and regulation in photoelectrochemical overall water-splitting cells

The water oxidation half-reaction at anodes is always considered the rate-limiting step of overall water splitting（OWS）,but the actual bias distribution between photoanodes and cathodes of photoelectro chemical（PEC） OWS cells has not been investigated *** this work,we find that,for PEC cells consisting of photoanodes（nickel-modified n-Si [Ni/n-Si] and α-Fe2O3） with low photovoltage(Vph 1V,the bias required for cathode activation can be significantly reduced,exhibiting a kinetics-controlled *** investigations show that the bias distribution can be regulated by tuning the electrolyte pH and using alternative half-reaction ***,a volcano plot is presented for the rational design of the overall reactions and unbiased PEC *** by this,an unbiased PEC cell consisting of a simple Ni/n-Si photoanode and Pt cathode is assembled,delivering a photo current density of 5.3±0.2 mA cm-2.

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have attracted the attention of more and more researchers due to the advantages of high energy density,environmental friendliness,and low production ***,the low electronic conductivity of active material and shuttling effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)limit the commercial development of *** solve these problems,we design a core-shell composite with nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)and two types of selenides(FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC).The FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC has a strong adsorption capacity,and can effectively adsorb *** the same time,it also effectively alleviates the shuttling effect of LiPSs,and improves the utilization of the active substance during the charge/discharge reaction *** mechanism involved in FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC is demonstrated by both experiments and density-functional theory(DFT)*** electrochemical test results indicate that LSB with S/FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC delivers an initial discharge capacity of 1260 mAh·g^(-1)at *** after 500 cycles at 1C,the capacity decay rate per cycle is 0.031%,and the capacity retention rate is 85%.The FeSe_(2)-NC@ZnSe-NC core-shell structure verifies a rational strategy to construct an electrode material for high-performance LSBs.

N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A), the most prevalent and conserved RNA modification in eukaryotic cells, profoundly influences virtually all aspects of mRNA metabolism. mRNA plays crucial roles in neural stem cell genesis and neural regeneration, where it is highly concentrated and actively involved in these processes. Changes in m^(6)A modification levels and the expression levels of related enzymatic proteins can lead to neurological dysfunction and contribute to the development of neurological diseases. Furthermore, the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, as well as nerve regeneration, are intimately linked to memory function and neurodegenerative diseases. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, as well as its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases. m^(6)A has demonstrated divergent effects on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. These observed contradictions may arise from the time-specific nature of m^(6)A and its differential impact on neural stem cells across various stages of development. Similarly, the diverse effects of m^(6)A on distinct types of memory could be attributed to the involvement of specific brain regions in memory formation and recall. Inconsistencies in m^(6)A levels across different models of neurodegenerative disease, particularly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggest that these disparities are linked to variations in the affected brain regions. Notably, the opposing changes in m^(6)A levels observed in Parkinson's disease models exposed to manganese compared to normal Parkinson's disease models further underscore the complexity of m^(6)A's role in neurodegenerative processes. The roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, and its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases, appear contradictory. Changes in protein abundance and reversible protein phosphorylation(RPP)play important roles in regulating hypometabolism but have never been documented in overwintering frogs at high *** test the hypothesis that protein abundance and phosphorylation change in response to winter hibernation,we conducted a comprehensive and quantitative proteomic and phosphoproteomic analysis of the liver of the Xizang plateau frog,Nanorana parkeri,living on the Qinghai-Xizang *** total,5170 proteins and 5695 phosphorylation sites in 1938 proteins were *** on proteomic analysis,674 differentially expressed proteins(438 up-regulated,236 down-regulated)were screened in hibernating *** versus summer *** enrichment analysis revealed that higher expressed proteins in winter were significantly enriched in immune-related signaling pathways,whereas lower expressed proteins were mainly involved in metabolic processes.A total of 4251 modified sites(4147 up-regulated,104 down-regulated)belonging to 1638 phosphoproteins(1555 up-regulated,83 down-regulated)were significantly changed in the *** hibernation,RPP regulated a diverse array of proteins involved in multiple functions,including metabolic enzymatic activity,ion transport,protein turnover,signal transduction,and alternative *** changes contribute to enhancing protection,suppressing energy-consuming processes,and inducing metabolic ***,the activities of phosphofructokinase,glutamate dehydrogenase,and ATPase were all significantly lower in winter compared to *** conclusion,our results support the hypothesis and demonstrate the importance of RPP as a regulatory mechanism when animals transition into a hypometabolic state.

BACKGROUND Lymphovascular invasion(LVI)and perineural invasion(PNI)are important prognostic factors for gastric cancer(GC)that indicate an increased risk of metastasis and poor *** preoperative prediction of LVI/PNI status could help clinicians identify high-risk patients and guide treatment ***,prior models using conventional computed tomography(CT)images to predict LVI or PNI separately have had limited *** CT provides quantitative enhancement parameters that may better capture tumor *** hypothesized that a predictive model combining clinical and spectral CT parameters would accurately preoperatively predict LVI/PNI status in GC *** To develop and test a machine learning model that fuses spectral CT parameters and clinical indicators to predict LVI/PNI status *** This study used a retrospective dataset involving 257 GC patients(training cohort,n=172;validation cohort,n=85).First,several clinical indicators,including serum tumor markers,CT-TN stages and CT-detected extramural vein invasion(CT-EMVI),were extracted,as were quantitative spectral CT parameters from the delineated tumor ***,a two-step feature selection approach using correlation-based methods and information gain ranking inside a 10-fold cross-validation loop was utilized to select informative clinical and spectral CT parameters.A logistic regression(LR)-based nomogram model was subsequently constructed to predict LVI/PNI status,and its performance was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC).RESULTS In both the training and validation cohorts,CT T3-4 stage,CT-N positive status,and CT-EMVI positive status are more prevalent in the LVI/PNI-positive group and these differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).LR analysis of the training group showed preoperative CT-T stage,CT-EMVI,single-energy CT values of 70 keV of venous phase(VP-70 keV),and the ratio of standardized iodine co

Pore structure characteristics and controlling factors of different lithofacies in lacustrine shale: A case study of Fengcheng Formation in Mahu Sag， Junggar Basin

The practice of shale oil exploration and development all over the world has shown that reservoir quality is a key factor restricting oil and gas production， the study of ultra-deep (4 500 m) reservoirs in petroliferous basins is a hot spot for oil and gas exploration in the world today. In this paper， taking the Fengcheng Formation (P1f) in Mahu Sag of Junggar Basin as an example， through experiments such as geochemistry， whole rock analysis， FE-SEM， N2 adsorption， and CO2 adsorption， the lithofacies are separated， and the pore structure properties of the various lithofacies are compared. Discuss the primary influencing elements that lead to pore structure differences. The results reveal that the shale of the P1f can be separated into four lithofacies (namely felsic shale， mixed shale， lime shale and dolomitic shale)， according to the mineral composition. The shale pores of P1f develop intergranular pores， intragranular pores， organic pores and micro-fractures. Among them， intergranular pores， intragranular pores and micro-fractures are the most developed， and the pore size is larger， which is a favorable storage space. Different lithofacies have different pore development characteristics. With the change of lithofacies (mixed shale - dolomitic shale - lime shale - felsic shale)， the size of the developed pores changes from small to large， and the pore structure changes from "Mainly microporous" to "mainly macropores". The felsic shale has developed laminae， mainly mesopores and macropores， with the largest pore diameter and the highest content of brittle minerals， which is the dominant lithofacies in the shale oil reservoir of the P1f. TOC， felsic and clay minerals all affect the pore development of shale in the P1f， but the influence of organic matter and inorganic minerals on pore volume varies with pore size. 目的:采用循证医学评价方法,探讨沙利度胺(TLD)在门诊用药的合理性。方法:抽取2022年中山大学附属第六医院门诊开具的包含TLD的处方360张,对超说明书使用情况进行统计,采用循证医学评价路径进行评价,并对超说明书用药的原因进行分析。结果:门诊使用TLD均为超适应证用药,主要适应证为克罗恩病、系统性红斑狼疮和贝赫切特综合征。循证医学证据评价为可以使用或者可以在其他药物无效或效果不佳的情况下使用。超说明书用药的最主要原因是医生认为超说明书用药行为有指南等支持。结论:TLD在门诊的超说明书用药有循证医学证据支持,但仍应严格按照超说明用药备案流程进行备案。
