All-solid-state batteries(ASSBs)are pursued due to their potential for better safety and high energy ***,the energy density of the cathode for ASSBs does not seem to be satisfactory due to the low utilization of active materials(AMs)at high *** small amount of solid electrolyte(SE)powder in the cathode,poor electrochemical performance is often observed due to contact loss and non-homogeneous distribution of AMs and SEs,leading to high tortuosity and limitation of lithium and electron transport ***,we propose a novel cathode design that can achieve high volumetric energy density of 1258 Wh L^(-1)at high AM content of 85 wt%by synergizing the merits of AM@SE core–shell composite particles with conformally coated thin SE shell prepared from mechanofusion process and small SE *** core–shell structure with an intimate and thin SE shell guarantees high ionic conduction pathway while unharming the electronic *** addition,small SE particles play the role of a filler that reduces the packing porosity in the cathode composite electrode as well as between the cathode and the SE separator *** systematic demonstration of the optimization process may provide understanding and guidance on the design of electrodes for ASSBs with high electrode density,capacity,and ultimately energy density.

Discovery of Pb-free hybrid organic-inorganic 2D perovskites using a stepwise optimization strategy

The current status of 2D organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites for use in photovoltaic(PV)and light-emitting diode(LED)applications lags far behind their 3D ***,we propose a computational strategy for discovering novel perovskites with as few computing resources as possible.A tandem optimization algorithm consisting of an elitism-reinforced nondominated sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II)and a multiobjective Bayesian optimization(MOBO)algorithm was used for density functional theory(DFT)*** DFT-calculated band gap and effective mass were taken as objective functions to be optimized,and the constituent molecules and elements of a Ruddlesden–Popper(RP)structure(n=2)were taken as decision *** previously unknown RP perovskite candidates for PV and LED applications were discovered as a result of the NSGA-II/MOBO ***,more accurate DFT calculations based on the HSE06 exchange correlation functional and ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)were conducted for the discovered 2D perovskites to ensure their validity.

Changes in peak inspiratory flow rate and peak airway pressure with endotracheal tube size during chest compression

BACKGROUND:Adequate airway management plays an important role in high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Airway management is usually performed using an endotracheal tube(ETT)during ***,no study has assessed the effect of ETT size on the fl ow rate and airway pressure during ***:We measured changes in peak inspiratory fl ow rate(PIFR),peak airway pressure(Ppeak),and mean airway pressure(Pmean)according to changes in ETT size(internal diameter 6.0,7.0,and 8.0 mm)and with or without CPR.A tidal volume of 500 mL was supplied at a rate of 10 times per minute using a mechanical *** compressions were maintained at a constant compression depth and speed using a mechanical chest compression device(LUCAS2,mode:active continuous,chest compression rate:102±2/minute,chest compression depth 2–2.5 inches).RESULTS:The median of several respiratory physiological parameters during CPR was significantly different according to the diameter of each ETT(6.0 vs.8.0 mm):PIFR(32.1 L/min[30.5–35.3]vs.28.9 L/min[27.5–30.8],P<0.001),Ppeak(48.84 cmH2O[27.46–52.11]vs.27.45 cmH2O[22.53–52.57],P<0.001),and Pmean(18.34 cmH2O[14.61–21.66]vs.13.66 cmH2O[8.41–19.24],P<0.001).CONCLUSION:The changes in PIFR,Ppeak,and Pmean were related to the internal diameter of ETT,and these values tended to decrease with an increase in ETT *** airway pressures were measured in the CPR group than in the no CPR group.

High-entropy ceramics exhibit novel intrinsic properties. Hence, they have been explored for a wide range of applications ranging from thermal insulation and energy storage to advanced optical components. Recently, the semiconductor industry has faced a demand for higher-performance chips, necessitating higher aspect ratios in wafer fabrication and further miniaturization of linewidths. Therefore, novel materials with high plasma etching resistance and minimal contaminant generation are needed. The plasma-etching resistance displayed by high-entropy ceramics can be an innovative solution to this emerging challenge. In this study, we successfully fabricated single-phase high-entropy sesquioxide ceramics with high optical transparency, dense microstructure, and minimal residual pores. A structural analysis of the fabricated samples revealed a single-phase structure with excellent phase homogeneity. An evaluation of the plasma-etching resistance of high-entropy ceramics revealed for the first time a low etching rate of 8 nm/h compared with that of conventional plasma-resistant materials. These comprehensive characterizations of high-entropy ceramics indicate that they are promising candidates for significantly improving the production yield of semiconductors and for a wide range of potential applications, such as next-generation active optical ceramics.

AN ANALOGUE OF KüNNETH THEOREM INSTRONG HOMOLOGY

After defining the strong tensor product of strong (sub)chain complenes, it is shown that an analogue of the Kunneth theorem holds in strong homology by proving that the kernel (cokernel) of connecting homomorphisms is isomorphic to the direct sum of torsion (tensor) products of strong homology groups. An isomorphism between strong (r-stage) homology groups of inverse systems is also constructed.

Phantom Maps from a Strong Homology Viewpoint

Let X and Y be connected nilpotent CW-complexes of finite type. In this paper we deal with another complete analysis of a set of phantom maps in terms of strong homology by using the derived functors. We also prove that the set of homotopy classes of maps is independent of the choice of both rational homotopy equivalent classes and completion genera.

In this paper we study the properties of homotopy inverses of comultiplications and Mgebraic loops of co-H-spaces based on a wedge of spheres. We also investigate a method to construct new comultiplications out of old ones by using a group action. We are primarily interested in the algebraic loops which have inversive, power-associative and Moufang properties for some comultiplications.

On the Same n-Types for the Wedges of the Eilenberg-Maclane Spaces

Given a connected CW-space X, SNT（X） denotes the set of all homotopy types [X＇] such that the Postnikov approximations X（n） and X＇^（n） are homotopy equivalent for all n. The main purpose of this paper is to show that the set of all the same homotopy n- types of the suspension of the wedges of the Eilenberg-MacLane spaces is the one element set consisting of a single homotopy type of itself, i.e., SNT（Σ（K（Z, 2a1） ∨ K（Z, 2a2）∨… ∨ K（Z,2ak））） = ＊ for a1 〈 a2 〈 … 〈 ak, as a far more general conjecture than the original one of the same n-type posed by McGibbon and Moller （in [McGibbon, C. A. and Moller, J. M., On infinite dimensional spaces that are rationally equivalent to a bouquet of spheres, Proceedings of the 1990 Barcelona Conference on Algebraic Topology, Lecture Notes in Math., 1509, 1992, 285-293].）

Techniques for overcoming atretic changes of the portal vein in living donor liver transplantation

Background:Spontaneous diversion of the portal flow through collateral vessels into the systemic circulation is frequently observed in liver transplant recipients with severe portal *** induces main portal vein atretic change and modifies flow into the collateral even after donor graft *** atretic changes make liver transplantation *** this article we described several methods for overcoming this challenge by appropriate surgical ***:Three anastomotic techniques for living donor liver transplantation were performed in patients with atretic changes in the portal ***:The three techniques were(1)venoplasty to widen the diameter by using the recipient’s portal vein,and the diameter of the recipient’s portal vein was enlarged using their own portal vein stump patch;(2)conduit with cryopreserved vessels,and we dissected around the superior mesenteric vein and splenic vein junction and a conduit was built using the cryopreserved vessels;and(3)left gastric varix to portal vein anastomosis,if the recipients had large gastric varix and variceal wall was sufficiently thick for ***:Selection of optimal methods for portal vein anastomosis is essential in patients with atrophic change on the portal *** these methods are used aptly,they can be considered as favorable methods for overcoming each situation.
