This paper considers the reliable control design for T-S fuzzy systems with probabilistic actuators faults and random time-varying delays. The faults of each actuator occurs randomly and its failure rates are governed by a set of unrelated random variables satisfying certain probabilistic distribution. In terms of the probabilistic failures of each actuator and time-varying random delays, new fault model is proposed. Based on the new fuzzy model, reliable controller is designed and sufficient conditions for the exponentially mean square stability （EMSS） of T-S fuzzy systems are derived by using Lyapunov functional method and linear matrix inequality （LMI） technique. It should be noted that the obtained criteria depend on not only the size of the delay, but also the probability distribution of it. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Caspases, a family of cysteine proteases, comprise of highly homologous enzymes that play an important role in apoptotic cell death. Caspase-3 shows key functions in apoptosis, mediating apoptotic cascade from the intrinsic and extrinsic activation pathways. Therefore, caspase-3 is an attractive target for therapeutic intervention. For instance, inhibitors of caspase-3 have been described as promising cardioprotectants, neuroprotectants and antiarthritic agents. A novel peptidomimetic inhibitor of caspase-3, has been designed, which still has the properties of a reversible inhibitor, while the P1 site at the C-terminal remains, and only L-amino acid has been replaced by D-amino acid. Also presented here is the synthesis of the inhibitor and its inhibitory activity against caspase-3, which was tested by the fluorescent activity assay.

Aims With the global atmospheric nitrogen(N)deposition increasing,the effect of N deposition on terrestrial plant diversity has been widely *** studies have reviewed the effects of N deposition on plant species diversity;however,all studies addressed the effects of N deposition on plant community focused on species richness in specific *** is a need for a systematic meta-analysis covering multiple dimensions of plant diversity in multiple climate zones and ecosystems *** goal was to quantify changes in species richness,evenness and uncertainty in plant communities in response to N addition across different environmental and experimental *** We performed a meta-analysis of 623 experimental records published in English and Chinese journals to evaluate the response of terrestrial plant diversity to the experimental N addition in *** metrics were used to quantify the change in plant diversity:species richness(SR),evenness(Pielou index)uncertainty(Shannon index).Important Findings Results showed that(i)N addition negatively affected SR in temperate,Plateau zones and subtropical zone,but had no significant effect on Shannon index in subtropical zones;(ii)N addition decreased SR,Shannon index and Pielou index in grassland,and the negative effect of N addition on SR was stronger in forest than in grassland;(iii)N addition negatively affected plant diversity(SR,Shannon index and Pielou index)in the long term,whereas it did not affect plant diversity in the short ***,the increase in N addition levels strengthened the negative effect of N deposition on plant diversity with long experiment duration;and(iv)the negative effect of ammonium nitrate(NH_(4)NO_(3))addition on SR was stronger than that of urea(CO(NH_(2))_(2))addition,but the negative effect of NH_(4)NO_(3) addition on Pielou index was weaker than that of CO(NH2)2 *** results indicated that the effects of N addition on plant diversity varied depending

AIM: To investigate the gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) in people from lowland to high altitude and in workers on Mountain Tanggula and its causes as well as treatment and ***: From 2001 to October 2003, we studied GIB in 13 502 workers constructing the railroad on Mountain Tanggula which is 4905 m above the sea level. The incidence of GIB in workers at different altitudes was recorded. Endoscopy was performed when the workers evacuated to Golmud (2808 m) and Xining (2261 m). The available data on altitude GIB were ***: The overall incidence of GIB was 0.49% in 13 502 workers. The incidence increased with increasing altitude. The onset of symptoms in most patients was within three weeks after arrival at high altitude. Bleeding manifested as hematemesis, melaena or hematochezia, and might be occult. Endoscopic examination showed that the causes of altitude GIB included hemorrhage gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and gastric erosion. Experimental studies suggested that acute gastric mucosal lesion (AGML) could be induced by hypoxic and cold stress, which might be the pathogenesis of altitude GIB. Those who consumed large amount of alcohol, aspirin or dexamethasone were at a higher risk of developing GIB. Persons who previously suffered from peptic ulcer or high-altitude polycythemia were also at risk of developing GIB. Early diagnosis, evacuation, and treatment led to early recovery. CONCLUSION: GIB is a potentially life threatening disease, if it is not treated promptly and effectively. Early diagnosis, treatment and evacuation lead to an early recovery. Death due to altitude GIB can be avoided if early symptoms and signs are recognized.

In this paper we consider domain decomposition methods with polynomial Lagrangian multipliers to two-dimentional elliptic problems, and construct a kind of simple preconditioners for the corresponding interface equation. It will be shown that condition number of the resulting preconditioned interface matrix is almost optimal (namelys it has only logarithmic growth with dimension of the local interface space).

Photoactive complexes of nonprecious transition metals, mainly including those in the first-row and partially the second-row of the Periodic table of elements, have received increasing attention in view of their low cost and long-term sustainability. They are recognized as promising alternatives to noble transition metal complex congeners that have been extensively studied in optoelectronic devices, artificial photosynthesis, photocatalysis, biodiagnostics, and therapeutics, etc. This review is devoted to a comprehensive summary on the classical and recent advances on photoactive nonprecious transition metal complexes, including photoactive Zr, V, Cr, Mo, and W complexes, Mn complexes and hybrids, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu complexes, and Zn and Cd complexes and hybrids. A particular focus is given on the molecular design, modulation of photophysical and photochemical properties, and applications of the representative and lately-developed nonprecious metal complexes. In addition, a perspective on the future development in this field is provided at the end of this review.

People-centric activity recognition is one of the most critical technologies in a wide range of real-world applications,including intelligent transportation systems, healthcare services, and brain-computer interfaces. Large-scale data collection and annotation make the application of machine learning algorithms prohibitively expensive when adapting to new tasks. One way of circumventing this limitation is to train the model in a semi-supervised learning manner that utilizes a percentage of unlabeled data to reduce the labeling burden in prediction tasks. Despite their appeal, these models often assume that labeled and unlabeled data come from similar distributions, which leads to the domain shift problem caused by the presence of distribution gaps. To address these limitations, we propose herein a novel method for people-centric activity recognition,called domain generalization with semi-supervised learning(DGSSL), that effectively enhances the representation learning and domain alignment capabilities of a model. We first design a new autoregressive discriminator for adversarial training between unlabeled and labeled source domains, extracting domain-specific features to reduce the distribution gaps. Second, we introduce two reconstruction tasks to capture the task-specific features to avoid losing information related to representation learning while maintaining task-specific consistency. Finally, benefiting from the collaborative optimization of these two tasks, the model can accurately predict both the domain and category labels of the source domains for the classification task. We conduct extensive experiments on three real-world sensing datasets. The experimental results show that DGSSL surpasses the three state-of-the-art methods with better performance and generalization.

Experimental Study on Diesel Spray and Flame Asymmetry Characteristics of Dual-Orifice Nozzles for a Medium-Speed Engine

The asymmetry of the multi-orifice spray will cause uneven heat load of the marine diesel engine,thereby affecting its working performance and service ***,an in-depth understanding of the spray and flame characteristics of multi-orifice nozzles will guide the optimization of the nozzle structure,needle design and diesel atomization and combustion *** this reason,four groups of dual-orifice nozzles with different hole diameters(0.1-0.55 mm) and mass flow rates covering the typical marine medium-speed diesel injections are designed and customized,and the constant volume chamber(CVC) with high temperature and pressure is used to simulate the actual in-cylinder working conditions of the diesel engine for the spray visualization *** study the asymmetry of the fuel sprays discharged from a diesel injector,the multi-orifice nozzle is simplified as a dual-orifice nozzle in this *** with X-ray Computed Tomography(CT) imaging technology,the influences of the nozzle internal structure on the spray and flame asymmetry are studied in the constructed supercritical *** is found that the asymmetry of the inlet angle and the equivalent length-diameter ratio is positively correlated with the inconsistency of the dual *** an increase in the injection pressure and nozzle diameter,the asymmetry of the dual spray becomes more pronounced,resulting in greater disparities in the ignition delay times and ignition positions of the two ***,the increase in nozzle diameter also leads to combustion instability,resulting in a flame with a serrated *** the increase of ambient temperature,the proportion of liquid phase in the jet decreases and the relative density of spray front decreases.
