We report the results of a search for radio pulsars in five supernova remnants(SNRs)with the FAST *** observations were made using the 19-beam receiver in“snapshot”*** integration time for each pointing was 10 *** discovered a new pulsar,PSR J1845–0306,which has a spin period of 983.6 ms and a dispersion measure of 444.6±2.0 cm^(−3)·pc,in observations of SNR G29.6+*** judge the association between the pulsar and the SNR,further verification is *** also re-detected some known pulsars in the data from SNRs G29.6+0.1 and G29.7–*** pulsars were detected in the observations of the other three SNRs.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)provide essential nutrients to crops and are affected by ***-solubilizing bacteria(PSB),nitrogen-fixing bacteria(NFB),and AMF have mutually beneficial relationships with plants,but the effects of their interactions on plant growth by regulating rhizosphere fungal community have not been sufficiently *** this study,a greenhouse pot experiment was conducted to investigate the interactions between AMF and bacteria(PSB and NFB)on the growth of Lotus corniculatus ***,the role of rhizosphere fungal community in the growth of Lotus corniculatus *** explored using Illumina MiSeq high-throughput *** results showed that combined inoculation of AMF with PSB and NFB increased plant biomass,plant height,and fungal colonization *** richness,complexity,and stability of rhizosphere fungal community also increased after combined inoculation of AMF with PSB and/or NFB,particularly with *** addition,combined inoculation of AMF with PSB and NFB enriched the abundance of beneficial microorganisms,with Chaetomium and Humicola showing the greatest *** structural equation model showed that the interactions of AMF with PSB and NFB promoted plant growth by affecting fungal network structure and soil enzyme activities involved in carbon,nitrogen,and phosphorus *** findings provide evidence for the effects of interactions of AMF with PSB and NFB on rhizosphere fungal community and plant growth.

Chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)concentration is a primary indicator for marine environmental *** spatio-temporal variations of sea surface Chl-a concentration in the Yellow Sea(YS)and the East China Sea(ECS)in 2001-2020 were investigated by reconstructing the MODIS Level 3 products with the data interpolation empirical orthogonal function(DINEOF)*** reconstructed results by interpolating the combined MODIS daily+8-day datasets were found better than those merely by interpolating daily or 8-day ***-a concentration in the YS and the ECS reached its maximum in spring,with blooms occurring,decreased in summer and autumn,and increased in late autumn and early *** performing empirical orthogonal function(EOF)decomposition of the reconstructed data fields and correlation analysis with several potential environmental factors,we found that the sea surface temperature(SST)plays a significant role in the seasonal variation of Chl a,especially during spring and *** increase of SST in spring and the upper-layer nutrients mixed up during the last winter might favor the occurrence of spring *** high sea surface temperature(SST)throughout the summer would strengthen the vertical stratification and prevent nutrients supply from deep water,resulting in low surface Chl-a *** sea surface Chl-a concentration in the YS was found decreased significantly from 2012 to 2020,which was possibly related to the Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO).

The localised leakage in shield tunnels that mainly occurs at segment joints may induce other defects,which threatens operational *** obtain a universal solution for the sealant performance of gasketed joints,we proposed a novel analytical model based on the multiscale contact and percolation theories,in which the obtained percolation pressure and interfacial separation can be utilized to derive the critical water leakage pressure and leakage *** evolutionary process of leakage was divided into three stages(i.e.,the percolation,leakage and breakdown),which explicitly reveal the progressive hydraulic deterioration of gasketed *** gaskets still own partial waterproof capacity until the end of the leakage stage due to the remaining contact pressure at surface *** proposed model was first verified by several sets of experimental data,based on which the determination of three key model parameters(i.e.,self-sealing slope,sealing coefficient,and expel pressure)were discussed in *** parametric study indicates that the waterproof capacity is significantly affected by the joint opening,offset,and the surface roughness of the *** variation in waterproof capacity with joint opening is mainly due to the nonlinearity of the gasket’s modulus and self-sealing *** increase in joint offset can result in a lower waterproof capacity as well as a larger leakage ***’s surface roughness affects the percolation pressure and interfacial separation,which contributes to the long-term sealant performance.

Influence maximization(IM)algorithms play a significant role in hypergraph analysis tasks,such as epidemic control analysis,viral marketing,and social influence analysis,and various IM algorithms have been *** main challenge lies in IM algorithm evaluation,due to the complexity and diversity of the spreading processes of different IM algorithms in different *** evaluation methods mainly leverage statistical metrics,such as influence spread,to quantify overall performance,but do not fully unravel spreading characteristics and *** this paper,we propose an exploratory visual analytics system,IMVis,to assist users in exploring and evaluating IM algorithms at the overview,pattern,and node levels.A spreading pattern mining method is first proposed to characterize spreading processes and extract important spreading patterns to facilitate efficient analysis and comparison of IM *** visualization glyphs are designed to comprehensively reveal both temporal and structural features of IM algorithms’spreading processes in hypergraphs at multiple *** effectiveness and usefulness of IMVis are demonstrated through two case studies and expert interviews.

The vortex generator(VG)and its well-known effect in flow optimization are widely studied and employed across different engineering ***,while the same working principles of VG may be well suited for the applications on surface-cleaning technologies,such promising potential is hardly,if any,explored in the published ***,in the present study,the influence on flow-induced particle resuspension brought by a rectangular vG in a channel flow is investigated with the help of highfidelity computational fluid dynamics *** increases of particle removal forces and resuspension rates are discovered in long,strip-like regions with reduced boundary-layer thickness resulted from the vG-induced vortices,and the enhancement effect is especially significant for configurations with the VG installed at a greater angle of *** is also shown that while the resuspension enhancements on the lower and the upper surfaces of the channel exhibit distinct statistical characteristics,having a VG in the channel improves the overall particle-removing capability of the channel flow by introducing higher surface-averaged removal forces and particle resuspension *** but not least,the increase of resuspension rate is especially significant for the smaller,micron-scale particles which are otherwise hardly disturbed by a VG-less channel flow,and such resuspension-enhancement effectgenerally subsides with increasing particle size.

Placing metals within microwave ovens has been generally viewed as a dangerous practice because of occurrence of violent discharge,but in recent years such discharge phenomenon has attracted increasing attention and has enabled a variety of exciting *** this work,we provide a comprehensive review of fundamental understanding of microwave-metal discharge interaction and its state-of-the-art application for nanomaterials *** introduce the microscopic interaction between different categories of materials and the electric and magnetic field of *** microwave-metal interaction,we highlight its size-dependence and point out the influence of the oxide layer on the surface of *** discuss the required conditions for occurrence of discharge,microscopic formation mechanism,and characteristic features of microwave-metal discharge *** analyzing the influence from the microwave input,discharging metals,and surrounding discharging media,we discuss the strategy for systematical regulation of the discharge *** describe the applications of the microwave-metal discharge for facile synthesis of various functional nanomaterials including core-shell carbon/metal,metal oxides,metal chalcogenides,intermetallic compounds,metallic nanoparticles and metallic compounds,and organic ***,the challenges in precise characterization and dynamic regulation of the discharge process as well as exciting application opportunities are discussed.

Compacted granular material,integral to geotechnical engineering,undergoes translation,rotation,and interlocking when subject to shear displacements or external *** present study focuses on the interlocking of heterogeneous granular materials,a complex behavior influenced by gradation,compaction,and varying particle geometry,and has consequently received limited attention in existing *** address this research gap,we conducted an analysis on the effect of grain interlocking on the shear resistance of granular assemblies,using a combination of laboratory testing and the discrete element method(DEM).Initially,large-scale direct shear tests were conducted on gravel−sand mixes with varying degrees of compaction and normal *** of the mixes also underwent subsequent shear reversal to explore the differences in grain interlocking between the two shearing processes on the shear *** analyzing the laboratory results,a mesoscopic scale investigation was performed by replicating the test using discrete element *** facilitate this,granular particle geometries were measured using 3D laser scanning based on the physical lab ***,based on these scans,discrete element R-block and ball models were utilized to construct both the coarse and fine particles within the *** vibro-compaction was employed to regulate the degree of *** results indicate that an increase in vertical pressure,coupled with a zero dilatancy angle,results in a rising stress ratio,indicative of grain *** interlocking exhibits a positive correlation with both the coarse content and the degree of compaction,and varies depending on the shear *** interlocking progresses,the shear band,induced by particle movement,expands and is associated with reduced particle rotation near the shear *** study further reveals a consistent positive correlation between interlocking and the principal orientation angle of strong normal c
