A model of five genes of tumor microenvironment predicts prognosis in Cholangiocarcinoma

Background:Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)is highly malignant and has a poor prognosis has a high malignant degree and poor *** purpose of this study is to develop a new prognostic model based on genes related to the tumor microenvironment(TME).Methods:Derived from the discerned differentially expressed genes within The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)dataset,this investigation employed the methodology of weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA)to ascertain gene co-expressed modules intricately linked to the Tumor Microenvironment(TME)among Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)*** genes associated with prognosis,as identified through Cox regression analysis,were employed in the formulation of a predictive *** model underwent validation,leading to the development of a risk score formula and ***,we validated the model’s reliability using data from CCA patients in the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)database(accession:GSE107943).Results:6139 DEGs were divided into 10 co-expressed gene modules using *** these,two modules(blue module with 832 genes and brown module with 1379 genes)showed high correlation with the *** prognostic genes(BNIP3,COL4A3,SPRED3,CEBPB,PLOD2)were identified through Cox regression analysis,and a prognostic model and risk score formula were developed based on these *** score formula:Risk score=BNIP3×1.70520-COL4A3×2.39815+SPRED3×1.17936+CEBPB×0.40456+PLOD2×***-Meier survival analysis revealed that the survival probabilities of the low-risk group were significantly higher than those of the high-risk ***,the related evaluation indexes suggested that the model exhibited strong predictive ***:The prognostic model,based on five TME-related genes(BNIP3,COL4A3,SPRED3,CEBPB,PLOD2),could accurately assess the prognosis of CCA patients to aid in guiding clinical decisions.

Developing a quantitative index system for assessing sustainable forestry management in Heilongjiang Province,China： a case study

In this study, we developed a comprehensive index system for forestry sustainability of Heilongjiang Province, which includes forest resources sustainability,sustainable economic development, sustainable social development and sustainable advancement in science and technology. Based on this system and the regional forest development, we further evaluated the sustainability of Heilongjiang Province for year 2008-2013. The results show that even though the regional forestry has been preliminarily on the track of sustainable development, it is fragile. Four indicators, e.g. soil and water retention rate,forest stand growth（per unit area）, the proportion of national investment and the annual carbon sequestration have important impact on the sustainability, with a weight of 39.0 % in all the indicators. We also analyzed the factors hindering the sustainable development. It turns out that soil and water retention rate, forest stand growth（per unit area）,the proportion of science and technology funds, per capita GDP and the proportion of the tertiary industry production are the main factors hindering regional sustainable development, which accounts for 50.94 % of the total obstacle degrees in the system. At last, we discussed how to promote the regional sustainable development from the perspectives of forest resources sustainability, economic development sustainability, society development sustainability and the sustainable advancement of science and technology.

Synthesizing active and durable cubic ceria catalysts(<6 nm)for fast dehydrogenation of bio-polyols to carboxylic acids coproducing green H_(2)

Dehydrogenation is considered as one of the most important industrial applications for renewable *** ceria-based catalysts are known to display promising dehydrogenation performances in this *** particle size(>20 nm)and less surface defects,however,hinder further application of ceria ***,an alternative strategy involving lactic acid(LA)assisted hydrothermal method was developed to synthesize active,selective and durable cubic ceria of<6 nm for dehydrogenation *** studies of growth mechanism revealed that,the carboxyl and hydroxyl groups in LA molecule synergistically manipulate the morphological evolution of ceria *** groups determine the cubic shape and particle size,while hydroxyl groups promote compositional transformation of ceria precursors into CeO_(2) ***,enhanced oxygen vacancies(Vo)on the surface of CeO_(2) were obtained owing to continuous removal of O species under reductive *** CeO_(2) catalysts synthesized by the LA-assisted method,immobilized with bimetallic PtCo clusters,exhibit a record high activity(TOF:29,241 h^(-1))and Vo-dependent synergism for dehydrogenation of bio-derived polyols at 200℃.We also found that quenching Vo defects at air atmosphere causes activity loss of PtCo/CeO_(2) *** regenerate Vo defects,a simple strategy was developed by irradiating deactivated catalysts using hernia *** outcome of this work will provide new insights into manufacturing durable catalyst materials for aqueous phase dehydrogenation applications.

Roles of Eph/ephrin bidirectional signaling during injury and recovery of the central nervous system

Multiple cellular components, including neuronal, glial and endothelial ceils, are involved in the sophis- ticated pathological processes following central nervous system injury. The pathological process cannot reduce damage or improve functional recovery by merely targeting the molecular mechanisms of neuronal cell death after central nerve system injuries. Eph receptors and ephrin ligands have drawn wide attention since the discovery of their extensive distribution and unique bidirectional signaling between astrocytes and neurons. The roles of Eph/ephrin bidirectional signaling in the developmental processes have been re- ported in previous research. Recent observations suggest that Eph/ephrin bidirectional signaling continues to be expressed in most regions and cell types in the adult central nervous system, playing diverse roles. The Eph/ephrin complex mediates neurogenesis and angiogenesis, promotes glial scar formation, regulates endocrine levels, inhibits myelin formation and aggravates inflammation and nerve pain caused by injury. ~lhe interaction between Eph and ephrin is also considered to be the key to angiogenesis. This review focus- es on the roles of Eph/ephrin bidirectional signaling in the repair of central nervous system injuries.

Research on Bast Fiber Extracted from the White Bark of Three Species in the Genus Broussonetia

Against the backdrop of a global paper resource shortage,there is a growing need to identify fast-growing tree species capable of producing long-lasting *** plant species namely Broussonetia kazinoki,Broussonetia papyrifera and hybrid paper mulberry,belong to the Broussonetia genus,were collected from China to study their white bark suitability for pulp and *** chemical composition revealed that the holocellulose content in Broussonetia kazinoki and Broussonetia papyrifera was more than 80%.The molecular weight distribution of several holocellulose/α-cellulose is observed by GPC,which allows us to better observe the changes of various components on the molecular *** yield,lignin,whiteness,and molecular weight of the pulps obtained by NaOH treatment were *** microscope was used to characterize the fiber length-width ratio and ***,the improvement of the fiber rigidity method based on the Kratky-Porod chain model makes it more theoretical and further reveals the influencing factors of fiber *** study demonstrates the high potentiality of these three species for papermaking applications.

Congenital coronary artery fistulas： dual-source CT findings from consecutive 6624 patients with suspected or confirmed coronary artery disease

Background Coronary artery fistulas （CAFs） are rare congenital abnormality often unintentionally found in patients with coronary artery disease. Clinical diagnosis of CAFs is difficult due to symptomless or lack of specific symptoms. Dual-source computed tomography （DSCT） might be a useful diagnostic tool for CAFs. The study aimed to retrospectively summarize the imaging features of CAFs delineated at DSCT in 48 CAF patients detected from consecutive 6624 patients with suspected or confirmed coronary artery disease in our institution. Methods Forty-eight patients underwent DSCT angiography by using retrospective electrocardiographic （ECG） gating after infusion of 70 ml of intravenous contrast material during breath hold. Maximum intensity projection （MIP）, curved planar reconstruction （CPR）, and volume rendering technique （VR） were obtained. Anomalous termination of coronary artery in each subject was evaluated by two radiologists （with more than 10 years experience with cardiovascular imaging）, and disagreement between diagnosis readers was settled by a consensus reading. Ten of 48 patients also underwent traditional coronary angiography （CAG） simultaneously. Results In each CAF case, DSCT angiography clearly demonstrated the origin, the termination, the size of abnormal vessel and its course in relation to surrounding great vessels. CAF arising from right coronary artery was the most common type, left circumflex was the least one involved among three coronaries, and pulmonary artery was the most common drainage site. Aneurismal fistulous tract, coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial bridging and anomalous origin of coronary artery were also detected in this group. The demonstration of drainage sites in CAG was consistent with DSCT angiography in 9 patients, and judgment on one anomalous connection in CAG was inconsistent with that in DSCT angiography. Conclusions DSCT angiography could provide accurate delineation of anomalous communications, size and numbers

Quantum advantages for image filtering on images with efficient encoding and lower-bounded signal-to-noise ratio

Quantum image processing has long been a fascinating field,but establishing the existence of quantum speedup for all images remains *** this study,we aim to identify a subset of images for which a quantum algorithm can be developed with a guaranteed ***,we present a quantum image filtering algorithm that exhibits an exponential speedup for efficiently encoded images with a lower-bounded signal-to-noise *** approach relies on a fixed-point Grover's search to emulate the effect of Hadamard multiplication with the filtering *** demonstrate its effectiveness,we apply our method to three typical filtering ***,we emphasize the significance of the efficient-encoding assumption by illustrating that the quantum speedup may diminish for images lacking efficient *** work underscores the importance of exploring image types and features to realize potential quantum advantages in image processing.

Hepatic recompensation according to the Baveno VII criteria via a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt: Is this true?

Hepatic recompensation is firstly described in the Baveno VII criteria,which requires the fulfillment of strict ***,a primary cause of cirrhosis must be addressed,suppressed,or ***,complications of liver cirrhosis,inclu-ding ascites,encephalopathy,and variceal hemorrhage,must disappear without any ***,liver function indicators must be ***,without addressing/suppressing/curing cirrhosis and improvement in liver syn-thetic function,complications,including ascites and variceal hemorrhage can be improved by a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),which is not evidence of hepatic ***,on the basis of the definition of hepatic recompensation,TIPS does not achieve hepatic recompensation.
