Efficacy of short-term multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation in patients with different Parkinson's disease motor subtypes: a prospective pilot study with 3-month follow-up

Parkinson's disease(PD) can be classified into three motor-based subtypes: postural instability/gait difficulty(PIGD), tremor dominant(TD), and *** neuropathophysiological mechanisms of the three motor subtypes are different, which may lead to different responses to ***-nine patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease(Hoehn–Yahr stage ≤ 3) were screened from 436 patients with Parkinsonism recruited through outpatient services and the *** to the Movement Disorder Society Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(MDS-UPDRS) TD/PIGD ratio, the patients were divided into PIGD(TD/PIGD ≤ 0.09;n = 36), TD(TD/PIGD ≥1.15;n = 19), and indeterminate(TD/PIGD = 0.90–1.15;n = 14) *** patients received 2 weeks of multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation treatment(MIRT) during hospitalization, as well as a remote home rehabilitation health education *** with the scores at admission, all patients showed significant improvements in their MDS-UPDRS III score, walking ability, balance, and posture control at ***, the MDS-UPDRS III score improvement was greater in the PIGD group than in the TD *** follow-up data, collected for 3 months after discharge, showed that overall symptom improvement in each group was maintained for 1–3 ***, there were no significant differences in the duration or grade effects of symptom improvement among the three *** findings suggest that 2 weeks of MIRT is effective for improving motor performance in all three motor *** in the PIGD group had a better response after hospitalization than those in the TD *** study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Beijing Rehabilitation Hospital of Capital Medical University of China(approval No.2018 bkky022) on May 7, 2018 and registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(registration *** CTR1900020771) on January 19, 2019.

Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is a common adverse drug reaction,which can even result in liver failure[1,2].The Chinese Medical Association issued the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of DILI based on the Roussel Uclaf Causality Assessment Method(RUCAM)in 2015[3].A previous study reported that traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs),herbal and dietary supplements,and antituberculosis drugs were the main causes of DILI in China[4].Herb-induced liver injury(HILI)refers to liver injury caused by TCMs,natural drugs,and their related preparations[5].

Effect of early administration of exogenous basic fibroblast growth factor on acute edematous pancreatitis in rats

AIM： To observe the therapeutic effect of early administration of exogenous Basic fibroblast growth factor （bFGF） on acute edematous pancreatitis （AEP） in rats. METHODS： Thirty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three （n = 10）： normal control group （group Ⅰ）, AEP group （group Ⅱ） and AEP with bFGF treatment group （group Ⅲ）. AEP was induced by subcutaneous injection of cerulein （5.5 μg/kg and 7.5 μg/kg） at 1 h interval into rats of groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ. Three hours after induction of AEP, 100 μg/kg bFGF was administrated intraperitoneally for 1h to group Ⅲ rats. For test of DNA synthesis in acinar cells, 5-bromo-2＇-deoxyuridine （BrdU） labeling solution was intraperitoneally injected into the rats of groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ 24 h after bFGF treatment. The changes in serum amylase, lipase, pancreatic tissue wet/dry ratio were detected. RESULTS： In bFGF treatment group, there was a significant decrease in the volume of serum amylase, lipase and the pancreatic wet/dry weight ratio（1383.0 ± 94.6 U/L, 194.0 ± 43.6 U/L, 4.32 ± 0.32） compared to AEP group （3464 ± 223,7 U/L, 456 ±68,7 U/L, 6.89 ± 0,47）（P 〈 0.01）, and no significant difference was found between bFGF treatment and control group （1289 ± 94.0 U/L, 171 ± 23.4 U/L, 4.12 ± 0.26, P 〉 0.05）. The inflammatory changes such as interstitial edema, polymorphonuclear neutrophUs （PMNs） and vacuolization were significantly ameliorated compared to AEP group （P 〈 0.01）. A small number of BrdU-labeled nuclei were observed in acinar cells of AEP rats （1.8 ± 0.3 nuclei/microscopic field, n = 10） while diffuse BrdU-labeled nuclei were found in bFGF-treated rats （18.9 ± 1.4 nuclei/microscopic field, n = 10）（P 〈 0.01）. Immunohistochemical study showed increased DNA synthesis in pancreatic acinar cells. CONCLUSION： Early administration of exogenous bFGF has significant therapeutic effect on cerulein-induced acute edematous pancreatitis in rats. Kinetic model of vibration screening for granular materials based on biological neural network

The kinetic model is the theoretical basis for optimizing the structure and operation performance of vibration screening *** this paper,a biological neurodynamic equation and neural connections were established according to the motion and interaction properties of the material under vibration *** material feeding to the screen and the material passing through apertures were considered as excitatory and inhibitory inputs,respectively,and the generated stable neural activity landscape was used to describe the material distribution on the 2D screen *** dynamic process of material vibration screening was simulated using discrete element method(DEM).By comparing the similarity between the material distribution established using biological neural network(BNN)and that obtained using DEM simulation,the optimum coefficients of BNN model under a certain screening parameter were determined,that is,one relationship between the BNN model coefficients and the screening operation parameters was *** screening parameters were randomly selected,and the corresponding relationships were established as a ***,with straw/grain ratio,aperture diameter,inclination angle,vibration strength in normal and tangential directions as inputs,five independent adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS)were established to predict the optimum BNN model coefficients,*** training results indicated that ANFIS models had good stability and *** flexibility and adaptability of the proposed BNN method was demonstrated by modeling material distribution under complex feeding conditions such as multiple regions and non-uniform rate.

Chronic administration of triclosan leads to liver fibrosis through hepcidin-ferroportin axis-mediated iron overload

Analytic Formulae for Estimating Motor Proportion of Load Model Under Small Disturbance

In the composite load model(CLM),which is commonly used in China,an equivalent motor and equivalent static load are used to represent all electrical equipment and networks connected to a load *** research has determined typical values of electrical and mechanical parameters for load models of different load types,which improves the basis for load ***,the motor proportion parameter is not the same for different load buses or at different times;therefore,obtaining the actual motor proportion is key to establishing an accurate load *** the existing load modeling method,motor proportion is commonly identified along with other parameters under rare large disturbances;therefore,the value of the motor proportion is fixed by the time when a large disturbance *** this paper,formulae are derived to estimate motor proportion under small disturbances,and these formulae allow direct calculation of motor proportion without using any optimization *** proposed estimation formulae do not rely on any parameters of load model or power system but instead rely only on measurement of the voltage and active power at steady-state points before and after a small *** of universality of small disturbances in power systems,estimating time-varying motor proportion under small disturbances will be helpful for solving the time-varying problem of load ***,the proposed motor proportion estimation formulae are validated by simulations,physical experiments,and field experiments.

Removal of rubidium from brine by an integrated film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene/potassium copper ferricyanide

A novel integrated film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene/potassium copper ferricyanide(KCuFC/SPSG)was used for selectively extracting rubidium ion(Rb^(+))from *** form KCuFC/SPSG,the precursor film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene(SPSG)was synthesized by phase conversion process,which was alternately immersed in 0.1 mol·L^(-1)CuSO_(4)/K_(4)[Fe(CN)_(6)]by in-situ adsorption coupled co-precipitation *** data such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer,Fourier transform infrared spectroscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscope,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,and energy dispersive spectroscopy all verified that abundant KCuFC were uniformly located on the *** resulting KCuFC/SPSG was used in film separation *** the solution was fed into the system,the Rb^(+)could be selectively adsorption by KCuFC/*** the saturation adsorption,0.5 mol·L^(-1)NH_(4)Cl/HCl was fed into the film cell,Rb^(+)could be quickly desorbed by ion-exchange between Rb^(+)and NH_(4)^(+)in the lattice of *** purpose of separating and recovering Rb^(+)from the brine can be achieved after the repeated *** effects of pH,adsorption time,and interferential ions on the adsorption capacity of Rb^(+)were investigated by batch *** adsorption behavior fits the pseudo-second order kinetic process,while KCuFC has a higher adsorption capacity(Langmuir maximum sorption 165.4 mg·g^(-1)).In addition,KCuFC/SPSG shows excellent selectivity for Rb^(+)even in complex brine ***/SPSG could maintain 93.5%extraction efficiency after five adsorption/desorption cycles.
