During the boreal summer,intraseasonal oscillations exhibit significant interannual variations in intensity over two key regions:the central-western equatorial Pacific(5°S-5°N,150°E-150°W)and the subtropical Northwestern Pacific(10°-20°N,130°E-175°W).The former is well-documented and considered to be influenced by the ENSO,while the latter has received comparatively less attention and is likely influenced by the Pacific Meridional Mode(PMM),as suggested by partial correlation analysis *** elucidate the physical processes responsible for the enhanced(weakened)intraseasonal convection over the subtropical northwestern Pacific during warm(cold)PMM years,the authors employed a moisture budget *** findings reveal that during warm PMM years,there is an increase in summer-mean moisture over the subtropical northwestern *** increase interacts with intensified vertical motion perturbations in the region,leading to greater vertical moisture advection in the lower troposphere and consequently resulting in convective *** a process is pivotal in amplifying intraseasonal convection *** observational findings were further verified by model experiments forced by PMM-like sea surface temperature patterns.

We report the discovery of a peculiar X-ray transient,EP240408a,by Einstein Probe （EP） and follow-up studies made with EP,Swift,NICER,GROND,ATCA and other ground-based multiwavelength *** new transient was first detected with Wide-field X-ray Telescope （WXT） on board EP on April 8th,2024,manifested in an intense yet brief X-ray flare lasting for *** flare reached a peak flux of 3.9×10-9erg cm-2s-1in 0.5-4 ke V,～300 times brighter than the underlying X-ray emission detected throughout the *** and more precise follow-up observations by EP/FXT,Swift and NICER confirmed the finding of this new *** X-ray spectrum is non-thermal in 0.5-10 ke V,with a power-law photon index varying *** X-ray light curve shows a plateau lasting for ～4 d,followed by a steep decay till becoming undetectable ～10 d after the initial *** on its temporal property and constraints from previous EP observations,an unusual timescale in the range of 7-23 d is found for EP240408a,which is intermediate between the commonly found fast and long-term *** counterparts have been found in optical and near-infrared,with the earliest observation at 17 h after the initial X-ray detection,suggestive of intrinsically weak emission in these *** demonstrate that the remarkable properties of EP240408a are inconsistent with any of the transient types known so far,by comparison with,in particular,jetted tidal disruption events,gamma-ray bursts,X-ray binaries and fast blue optical *** nature of EP240408a thus remains an *** suggest that EP240408a may represent a new type of transients with intermediate timescales of the order of～10 *** detection and follow-ups of more of such objects are essential for revealing their origin.

通过构建双认证政策赋能企业创新的分析框架，使用固定效应泊松模型，探究智能制造与专精特新政策协同对企业创新的影响及作用机制。结果发现：相较于单认证企业，双认证政策对企业创新的协同激励效应更强，且在国有企业和高科技行业中表现得更为显著；相较于非认证企业，单认证政策对企业创新的直接激励效应更强，呈现出明显的梯度效应；双认证政策通过增加政府补助和提高客户集中度，促进企业创新；智能制造政策的创新激励效应高于专精特新政策。

A novel unsupervised deep learning method for the generalization of urban form

Accurate delineation of urban form is essential to understand the impacts that urbanization has on the environment and regional *** supervised classification of urban form requires a rigidly defined scheme and high-quality sample data with class *** to the complexity of urban systems,it is challenging to consistently define urban form types and collect metadata to describe ***,in this study,we propose a novel unsupervised deep learning method for urban form delineation while avoiding the limitations of conventional super-vised urban form classification *** novelty of the proposed method is the Multiscale Residual Convolutional Autoencoder(MRCAE),which can learn the latent representation of differ-ent urban form *** vectors can be further used to generalize urban form types by using Self-Organizing Map(SOM)and the Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM).The proposed method is applied in the metropolitan area of Guangzhou-Foshan,*** MRCAE model along with SOM and GMM is used to generalize the urban form types from satellite *** physical and functional properties of each urban form type are also analyzed using several auxiliary datasets,including building footprints,Points-of-Interests(POIs)and Tencent User Density(TUD)*** results reveal that the urban form map generated based on the MRCAE can explain 55%of the building height distribution and 55%of the building area distribution,which are 2.1%and 3.3%higher than those derived from the conventional convolutional *** the information of urban form is essential to urban climate models,the results presented in this study can become a basis to refine the quantification of urban climate parameters,thereby introducing the urban heterogeneity to help understand the climate response of future urbanization.

This work provides numerical and experimental investigations of blanking process,where the shear-enhanced Lemaitre’s damage model is fully characterized and successfully applied in blanking process to predict the cutting force and cutting edge geometry under different blanking process *** high strength steel DP1000 and an aluminum alloy Al6082-T6 are selected for series of *** obtain the damage parameters in Lemaitre’s damage model the flat rectangular notched specimens tensile test was conducted and the inverse parameter identification procedure was *** characterizing the crack closure parameter h in the shear enhanced Lemaitre’s damage model,an in-plane torsion test with novel specimen design was *** finite element model(FEM)of this test was established with the minimum mesh size of 0.01 mm which was consistent with the minimum mesh size in the shear zone of the FEM for blanking process *** longitudinal strain distributions of four kinds of initial notch radius or central-hole specimen were measured and compared with simulation results to validate the FEMs for these four *** analysis of blanking of a circular work piece also was performed under three *** effects of blanking conditions on sheared part morphology were *** triaxiality distribution of the blank sheet was revealed taking advantage of the successfully established *** availability of the testing method and the determination method of the parameters was investigated.

In this study,the complex mechanical behavior of an aluminum/low-density polyethylene(LDPE)half sandwich structure was investigated during the blanking *** tests were conducted for the polymer and metal layer and the delamination behavior of the adhesive between the two layers.A new testing device was designed for detecting the delamination under tensile *** finite element models were established for the mechanical tests of the metal layer and the delamination of both layers for inverse parameter *** parameters for Lemaitre-type damage,Drucker-Prager,and cohesive zone modeIs were identified for the metal,polymer,and adhesive,respectively.A finiteelement(FE)model was established for the blanking process of the sandwich *** experimental forcedisplacement curves,obtained in the blanking process of the half sandwich sheet,were compared with the predicted results of the FE *** results showed that the predicted force-displacement curves and the experimental results were in good ***,the correlation between cutting clearance and changes in the forcedisplacement curves was *** feature values quantitatively described the imperfection of the experimental cutting *** effect of punch clearance on these values was studied numerically and *** results indicated that a smaller clearance generated a better cutting-edge *** stress state of the half sandwich structure during blanking was analyzed using the established FE model.

Metal sulfides such as Bismuth sulfide(Bi2 S3) hold immense potential to be promoted as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),owing to their high theoretical gravimetric and volumetric ***,the poor electrical conductivity and volume expansion during cycling hinder the practical applications of Bi2 *** this work,we used pyrrole and glucose as carbon source to design the surface carbon coating on the surface of Bi2 S3 particles,to improve the structural stability of Bi2 *** composite materials were synthesized-Bi2 S3 coated with nitrogen doped carbon(Bi2 S3@NC),and Bi2 S3 coated with carbon(Bi2 S3@C).When used as anode active materials,both Bi2 S3@NC and Bi2 S3@C showed improved performance compared to Bi2 S3,which confirms surface carbon coating as an effective and scalable way for the modification of Bi2 S3 *** electrode based on Bi2 S3@NC materials demonstrated higher performance than that of Bi2 S3@C,with an initial discha rge capacity of 1126.5 mA h/g,good cycling stability(500 mA h/g after 200 cycles at 200 mA/g) and excellent rate ***,Li storage and migration mechanisms in Bi2 S3 are revealed using first principle density functional theory calculations.

Quantifying freeze-melt dynamics of lakes on the Tibetan Plateau using Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar imagery

The ice phenology of alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is a rapid and direct responder to climate changes,and the variations in lake ice exhibit high temporal frequency *** and passive microwave data are widely used to monitor lake ice changes with high temporal ***,the low spatial resolutions make it difficult to effectively quantify the freeze-melt dynamics of *** work used Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)data to derive high-resolution ice maps(about 6 days),then with the aid of Sentinel-2 optical images to quantify freeze-melt processes in three typical lakes on the TP(*** Co,Ayakekumu Lake,and Nam Co).The results showed that three lakes had an average annual ice period of 125-157 days and a complete ice cover period of 72-115 days,from 2018 to *** exhibit different ice phenology *** Co is characterized by repeated episodes of freezing,melting,and refreezing,resulting in a prolonged freeze-up ***,the break-up period of Nam Co lasts for a longer duration(about 19 days),and the break-up exhibits a smooth ***,Ayakekumu Lake showed more significant inter-annual fluctuations in the freeze-up period,with deviations of up to 28 days observed among different *** to the other two lakes,Selin Co experienced a relatively short freeze-up and break-up *** short,Sentinel-1 SAR data can effectively monitor the weekly and seasonal variations in lake ice on the ***,this data facilitates quantification of the freeze-melt dynamics.
