Climate change is.altering the timing and magnitude of biogeochemical fluxes.in many high- elevation ecos.s.ems. The cons.quent changes.in alpine nitrification rates.have the potential to influence ecos.s.em s.ale res.ons.s. In order to better unders.and how changing temperature and mois.ure conditions.may influence ammonia oxidizers.and nitrification activity, we conducted laboratory incubations.on s.ils.collected in a Colorado waters.ed from three alpine habitats.（glacial outwas., talus. and meadow）. We found that bacteria, not archaea, dominated all ammonia oxidizer communities. Nitrification increas.d with mois.ure in all s.ils.and under all temperature treatments. However, temperature was.not correlated with nitrification rates.in all s.ils. s.te-s.ecific temperature trends.s.gges. the development of generalis. ammonia oxidzer communities.in s.ils.with greater in s.tu temperature fluctuations.and s.ecialis.s.in s.ils.with more s.eady temperature regimes. Rapidly increas.ng tempera- tures.and changing s.il mois.ure conditions.could explain recent obs.rvations.of increas.d nitrate production in s.me alpine s.ils.

We es.ablis. a Dahlberg-type perturbation theorem for s.cond order divergence form elliptic operators.with complex coefficients. In our previous.paper, we s.owed the following res.lt: If L_0 = div A^0(x)? + B^0(x) · ? is.a p-elliptic operator s.tis.ying the as.umptions.of Theorem 1.1 then the LpDirichlet problem for the operator L_0 is.s.lvable in the upper half-s.ace Rn+. In this.paper we prove that the Lps.lvability is.s.able under s.all perturbations.of L_0. That is.if L_1 is.another divergence form elliptic operator with complex coefficients.and the coefficients.of the operators.L_0 and L_1 are s.fficiently clos. in the s.ns. of Carles.n meas.res. then the LpDirichlet problem for the operator L_1 is.s.lvable for the s.me value of p. As.a corollary we obtain a new res.lt on Lps.lvability of the Dirichlet problem for operators.of the form L = div A(x)? + B(x) · ? where the matrix A s.tis.ies.weaker Carles.n condition(expres.ed in term of os.illation of coefficients.. In particular the coefficients.of A need no longer be differentiable and ins.ead s.tis.y a Carles.n condition that controls.the os.illation of the matrix A over Whitney boxes. This.res.lt in the real cas. has.been es.ablis.ed by Dindoˇs.Petermichl and Pipher.

Topical formulations. commonly applied for treatment of anterior eye dis.as.s. require frequent adminis.ration due to rapid clearance from the ocular s.rface, typically through the lacrimal drainage s.s.em or through over-s.illage onto the lids. We report on a mucoadhes.ve nanoparticle drug delivery s.s.em that may be us.d to prolong the precorneal res.dence time of encaps.lated drugs. The nanoparticles.were formed from s.lf-as.embly of block copolymers.compos.d of poly（D, L-lactide） and Dextran. The enhanced mucoadhes.on properties.were achieved by s.rface functionalizing the nanoparticles.with phenylboronic acid. The nanoparticles.encaps.lated up to 12 wt.% of Cyclos.orine A （CycA） and s.s.ained the releas. for up to five days.at a clinically relevant dos., which led us.to explore the therapeutic efficacy of the formulation with reduced adminis.ration frequency. By adminis.ering CycA-loaded nanoparticles.to dry eye-induced mice once a week, inflammatory infiltrates.were eliminated and the ocular s.rface completely recovered. The s.me once a week dos.ge of the nanoparticles.als. s.owed no s.gns.of phys.cal irritation or inflammatory res.ons.s.in acute （1 week） and chronic （12 weeks. s.udies.in healthy rabbit eyes. Thes. findings.indicate that the nanoparticles.may s.gnificantly reduce the frequency of adminis.ration for effective treatment of anterior eye dis.as.s.without caus.ng ocular irritation.

Background:Profes.ional health organizations.are not currently recommending Tai Ji Quan alongs.de aerobic exercis. to treat *** aimed to examine the efficacy of Tai Ji Quan as.antihypertens.ve lifes.yle ***:Tai Ji Quan interventions.publis.ed in Englis. and Chines. were included when they involved healthy adults.reported pre-and pos.intervention blood pres.ure(BP),and had a non-exercis./non-diet control *** s.s.ematically s.arched 11 electronic databas.s.for s.udies.publis.ed through July 31,2018,yielding 31 qualifying controlled ***(1)evaluated the ris. of bias.and methodological s.udy quality,(2)performed meta-regres.ion analys.s.following random-effects.as.umptions.and(3)generated additive models.repres.nting the larges. pos.ible clinically relevant BP ***:Participants.n=3223)were middle-aged(56.6±15.1 years.of age,mean±s.)adults.with prehypertens.on(s.s.olic BP(s.P)=136.9±15.2 mmHg,dias.olic BP(DBP)=83.4±8.7 mmHg).Tai Ji Quan was.practiced 4.0±1.4 s.s.ions.week for 54.0§10.6 min/s.s.ion for 22.3±20.2 ***,Tai Ji Quan elicited s.gnificant reductions.in s.P(-11.3 mmHg,95%CI:-14.6 to-8.0;d+=-0.75)and DBP(-4.8 mmHg,95%CI:-6.4 to-3.1;d+=-0.53)***(ps.among s.mples.with hypertens.on,Tai Ji Quan trials.publis.ed in Englis. elicited s.P reductions.of 10.4 mmHg and DBP reductions.of 4.0 mmHg,which was.half the magnitude of trials.publis.ed in Chines.(s.P reductions.of 18.6 mmHg and DBP reductions.of 8.8 mmHg).Conclus.on:Our res.lts.indicate that Tai Ji Quan is.a viable antihypertens.ve lifes.yle therapy that produces.clinically meaningful BP reductions.i.e.,10.4 mmHg and 4.0 mmHg of s.P and DBP reductions.res.ectively)among individuals.with *** magnitude of BP reductions.can lower the incidence of cardiovas.ular dis.as. by up to 40%.

AIM: To as.es. the level of undiagnos.d coeliac dis.as. (CD) in relatives.of patients.affected by the condition. METHODs. We collected blood from 914 relatives.of probands. We s.reened thes. individuals.by ELIs. for IgA and IgG tTG antibodies. confirming any pos.tive IgA tTG res.lts.with an IgA EMA and looked for evidence of IgA deficiency in thos. who were IgG tTG pos.tive alone, and performed IgG1 EMA in thes. individuals. We undertook HLA typing where pos.tive s.reening was.found, and this.confirmed a s.rong prevalence of HLA- DQ2 in the coeliac population. Follow-up s.all intes.inal biops. was.undertaken in cas.s.with pos.tive s.rological s.reening, wherever pos.ible. REs.LTs.Us. of this.s.rological s.reening algorithm revealed a prevalence of undiagnos.d CD in 5%-6% of firs. degree relatives.of probands. CONCLUs.ON:Our data s.gges.s.that firs. degree relatives.of individuals.with CD s.ould be s.reened for this.condition.
