RGB Color-Discriminable Photonic Synapse for Neuromorphic Vision System

To emulate the functionality of the human retina and achieve a neuromorphic visual system,the development of a photonic synapse capable of multispectral color discrimination is of paramount ***,attaining robust color discrimination across a wide intensity range,even irrespective of medium limitations in the channel layer,poses a significant ***,we propose an approach that can bestow the color-discriminating synaptic functionality upon a three-terminal transistor flash memory even with enhanced discriminating *** incorporating the strong induced dipole moment effect at the excitation,modulated by the wavelength of the incident light,into the floating gate,we achieve outstanding RGB color-discriminating synaptic functionality within a remarkable intensity range spanning from 0.05 to 40 mW cm^(-2).This approach is not restricted to a specific medium in the channel layer,thereby enhancing its *** effectiveness of this color-discriminating synaptic functionality is demonstrated through visual pre-processing of a photonic synapse array,involving the differentiation of RGB channels and the enhancement of image contrast with noise ***,a convolutional neural network can achieve an impressive inference accuracy of over 94%for Canadian-Institute-For-Advanced-Research-10 colorful image recognition task after the *** proposed approach offers a promising solution for achieving robust and versatile RGB color discrimination in photonic synapses,enabling significant advancements in artificial visual systems.

The task of mining erasable patterns(EPs)is a data mining problem that can help factory managers come up with the best product plans for the *** problem has been studied by many scientists in recent times,and many approaches for mining EPs have been *** closed patterns(ECPs)are an abbreviated representation of EPs and can be con-sidered condensed representations of EPs without information *** methods of mining ECPs identify huge numbers of such patterns,whereas intelligent systems only need a small number.A ranking process therefore needs to be applied prior to use,which causes a reduction in *** overcome this limitation,this study presents a robust method for mining top-rank-k ECPs in which the mining and ranking phases are combined into a single ***,we propose a virtual-threshold-based pruning strategy to improve the mining *** on this strategy and dPidset structure,we then develop a fast algorithm for mining top-rank-k ECPs,which we call ***,we carry out experiments to compare the runtime of our TRK-ECP algorithm with two algorithms modified from dVM and TEPUS(Top-rank-k Erasable Pattern mining Using the Subsume concept),which are state-of-the-art algorithms for mining top-rank-k *** results for the running time confirm that TRK-ECP outperforms the other experimental approaches in terms of mining the top-rank-k ECPs.

Electrochemical water splitting is one of the most reliable approaches for environmental-friendly hydrogen *** of their stability and abundance,Mn-based materials have been studied as electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER),which is a more sluggish reaction in the water splitting *** increase the OER activity of Mn,it is imperative to facilitate the structural change of Mn oxide to the active phase with Mn_(3)+species,known as the active ***,we present the relationship between the electronic conductivity in the catalyst layer and the formation of the Mn active phase,δ-MnO_(2),from wrinkled Mn(OH)_(2).Mn(OH)_(2) has poor conductivity,and it disrupts the oxidation reaction toward MnOOH orδ-MnO_(2).Adjacent conductive carbon to Mn(OH)_(2) enabled Mn(OH)_(2) to be oxidized toδ-MnO_(2).Furthermore,after repetitive cyclic voltammetry activation,the more conductive environment resulted in a higher density ofδ-MnO_(2) through the irreversible phase transition,and thus it contributes to the improvement of the OER activity.

In the 1960s, when apartments were being introduced in South Korea and were not yet standardized, diverse attempts at construction were made. However, due to factors such as the preference for houses that face south, apartment planning principles were unified. The present study intended to find out characteristics that can be applied to the current demands by studying cases of experimental plans among apartments, understanding the plans of courtyard apartments and classifying the cases into different types. The types of 29 courtyard apartments constructed in 1960-1970s in Seoul were analyzed. The apartments were classified into complex types that refer to cases where many buildings form a courtyard, block types, and open types. 2017 Higher Education Press Limited Company. Direct steam injection(DSI)was applied to minimize the quality changes of white radish(Raphanus sativus)broth during *** study compared the degree of browning of white radish broth from a retort sterilization system and a DSI *** quality changes after thermal treatments,such as retorting and DSI,were evaluated by Lab color values,the browning index(BI)and sensory *** the volume of the retort pouch increased,the thermal processing time *** increases of a and b values,color difference and BI were *** the retort sterilization,the DSI treatment showed no significant differences in color properties of the radish broth with a wide range of sterilization *** highest sensory score among the DSI treated samples was observed at the lowest sterilization temperature(125℃).The results demonstrated that the DSI treatment showed a higher stability in the quality associated with the browning reaction,such as the color indices and BI because the DSI process rapidly increased the temperature of the radish broth by transferring the latent heat of steam to the fluid.

Modern agricultural machinery demands adoption of embedded electronic and remote sensing technology for precision *** of the electronic devices commonly used is the virtual terminal(VT) for tractors.A VT's functions and terminology are described in the ISO 11783 *** paper presents a control system design and implementation for a VT and some other electronic control units(ECUs) for agricultural vehicles based on that *** and software development for the VT is implemented using the ISOAgLib open library,in the advanced embedded *** main part of the system is an embedded board based on a Samsung S3C6410 ARM11 core microprocessor with a controller area network(CAN) *** working environment is Windows Embedded CE 6.0(WinCE6.0).The ISOAgLib library provides abundant open sources consistent implementation of ISO *** is written in C++ programming language using object-oriented *** this paper,we describe an ISO 11783-based tractor control system with a CAN and its implementation in the embedded *** paper also explains the operation of a CAN-bus device driver in WinCE6.0 and some modifications of ISOAgLib for our target *** target system consists of the VT,an ECU for the global positioning system(GPS),and an ECU for lighting for an agricultural *** ECU for GPS and the ECU of a light controller are implemented using STM32F107F ARM Cortex M3-based development boards.

This study identifies the spatial charactenstics and relationships of each used space according to the multiplex type. In this study, multiplexes are classified according to screen rooms and circulation systems, and each used space is quantitatively analyzed. The multiplex type based on screen rooms and moving line systems influences the relationship and characteristics of each used space in various ways. In particular, the structure of the used space of multiplexes has a significant effect on orofit generation and audience convenience.

The objective of the study was to investigate in vivo interspecific pollination success between Pinus radiata, P. maximinoi, P. oocarpa and P. tecunumanii. Pinus radiata was control pollinated with pollen lots of P. maximinoi, P. oocarpa and P. tecunumanii in a P. radiata seed orchard at Karatara (Southern Cape, South Africa). Pollination success was determined by counting the number of visible ovules, pollen grains inside and outside P. radiata ovules, as well as pollen tubes visible inside P. radiata ovules. Conelets were harvested and studied at eight time intervals, including 24 h after pollination, and weekly for 7 weeks after pollination. Histology studies with a standard fixation-dehydration-embedding sequence and paraffin wax method were used to determine the number of visible pollen grains inside versus outside the ovules and number of pollen tubes. Results indicated that pollen grains did sift through the cone scales within 24 h after pollination. However, P. radiata differed significantly (time by type of cross interaction) from the other three hybrid combinations in terms of number of visible ovules, visible pollen grains inside and outside of the ovules as well as pollen tubes, confirming limited interspecific hybridisation success. Future studies need to determine the percentage of fertile ovules in cross combination as a tool in predicting pollination success.
