BACKGROUND Autoimmune enteropathy(AIE)is a rare disease whose diagnosis and long-term prognosis remain challenging,especially for adult AIE *** To improve overall understanding of this disease’s diagnosis and *** We retrospectively analyzed the clinical,endoscopic and histopathological characteristics and prognoses of 16 adult AIE patients in our tertiary medical center between 2011 and 2023,whose diagnosis was based on the 2007 diagnostic *** Diarrhea in AIE patients was characterized by secretory *** common endoscopic manifestations were edema,villous blunting and mucosal hyperemia in the duodenum and *** blunting(100%),deep crypt lymphocytic infiltration(67%),apoptotic bodies(50%),and mild intraepithelial lymphocytosis(69%)were observed in the duodenal ***,there were other remarkable abnormalities,including reduced or absent goblet cells(duodenum 94%,ileum 62%),reduced or absent Paneth cells(duodenum 94%,ileum 69%)and neutrophil infiltration(duodenum 100%,ileum 69%).Our patients also fulfilled the 2018 diagnostic criteria but did not match the 2022 diagnostic criteria due to undetectable anti-enterocyte *** patients received glucocorticoid therapy as the initial medication,of which 14/16 patients achieved a clinical response in 5(IQR:3-20)*** were administered to 9 patients with indications of steroid dependence(6/9),steroid refractory status(2/9),or intensified maintenance medication(1/9).During the median of 20.5 months of followup,2 patients died from multiple organ failure,and 1 was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s *** cumulative relapse-free survival rates were 62.5%,55.6%and 37.0%at 6 months,12 months and 48 months,*** Certain histopathological findings,including a decrease or disappearance of goblet and Paneth cells in intestinal biopsies,might be potential diagnostic criteria for adult *** long-term prognosis is still unsatisfac

RNA interference(RNAi)is a powerful tool that post-transcriptionally silences target genes in eukaryotic ***,silencing efficacy varies greatly among different insect ***,we met with little success when attempting to knock down genes in the mirid bug Apolygus lucorum via dsRNA *** disappearance of double-stranded RNA(dsRNA)could be a potential factor that restricts RNAi ***,we found that dsRNA can be degraded in midgut fluids,and a dsRNase of ***(AldsRNase)was identified and *** alignment indicated that its 6 key amino acid residues and the Mg2+-binding site were similar to those of other insects’*** signal peptide and endonuclease non-specific domain shared high sequence identity with the brown-winged green stinkbug Plautia stali *** showed high salivary gland and midgut expression and was continuously expressed through the whole life cycle,with peaks at the 4th instar ecdysis in the whole *** purified AldsRNase protein obtained by heterologously expressed can rapidly degrade *** comparing the substrate specificity of AldsRNase,3 specific substrates(dsRNA,small interfering RNA,and dsDNA)were all degraded,and the most efficient degradation is ***,immunofluorescence revealed that AldsRNase was expressed in the cytoplasm of midgut *** cloning and functional study of AldsRNase,the enzyme activity and substrate specificity of the recombinant protein,as well as the subcellular localization of nuclease,the reason for the disappearance of dsRNA was explained,which was useful in improving RNAi efficiency in *** and related species.

With the growing demand for energy saving,emission reduction,and green metallurgy,we had designed a new C-H2 smelting reduction *** order to solve the key problem that the heat transfer efficiency from high temperature oxidation zone in upper region to low temperature reduction zone in lower region is low in traditional metallurgical reduction reactor,a water simulation was adopted to optimize the mean residence time and to improve the transmission efficiency within the *** to the modified Froude similarity,a water model experimental reactor with a ratio of 1:1 to the prototype was *** the prototype,the feed port was used to feed preheated ore and *** order to simulate the effect of different feeding positions of the tracer on the mixing behavior in the molten pool,four points of tracer feeding position were arranged for a systematic *** the same time,based on double-row side nozzle with thick slag layer in a C-H2 smelting reduction reactor,nine influencing factors,including relative angle between upper and lower side nozzles,were *** experimental results showed that the tracer feeding position had a great influence on the mean residence time,and the relative angle also had a great influence on tracer feeding ***,through comprehensive analysis,the optimal condition parameters were obtained under different tracer feeding *** results provide valuable help for the design and optimization of the C-H2 smelting reduction reactor.

The rate constants of the reaction between hydroxyl radical （OH-） and dimethyl sulfide （DMS） were investigated by using the relative methods in air, N2, and 02. Strong influences of ground state oxygen O（3p） on DMS consumption were found by the photolysis of HONO and CH3ONO as OH. sources, and the rate constants obtained in these systems varied significantly. The rate constants of the reaction between DMS and OH- （generated by photolysis of H2 O2） at room temperature were 8.56 × 10^-12, 11.31× 10^-12, and 4.50× 10^-12 cm3/（molecule.s）, in air, O2, and N2, respectively. The temperature dependence of the rate constants for OH- with DMS over the temperature range of 287-338 K was also investigated in nitrogen and air, and the Arrhenius expression was obtained as follows： kaire=（7.24±0.28）× 10^-13exp[（770.7±E97.2）/T], kN2 =（3.40±0.15） × 10^-11 exp[-- （590.3±165.9）/T].

Effects of Thermal Gradients and Rotational Flows on Grain Growth in 22 t Steel Ingots

Heavy ingots are widely used in many industrial fields. The coarse grains formed during the process of in- got solidification influence the properties and fracture behaviors of the final products. The coarse grain growth was simulated under different thermal gradients. A 30Cr2Ni4MoV steel ingot was melted in a cubic crucible with dimen-sions of 15 cm×10 cm×23 cm, and the cooling conditions on each side of the crucible were controlled by different thermal curves. The influences of thermal gradients and rotational flows on grain growth in heavy steel ingots were then investigated both numerically and experimentally. The results showed that when the amplitude of the rotation angle was 60°, the metal was solidified under a reciprocating horizontal rotational condition when the angular velocity was 10 （°）/s or 20 （°）/s. As the thermal gradient increased, the lengths of the primary columnar grains in- creased, and the diameters of equiaxed grains decreased. When the direction of flow rotation was perpendicular to the direction of grain growth, the columnar grain zone was nearly eliminated, and the average diameter of equiaxed grains was 0.5 mm.

Si3N4 ceramic was jointed to itself using a filler alloy of Cu76.5Pd8.5Ti15, and the mechanical properties of the jointwere measured and analyzed. By using a filler alloy of Cu76.5Pd8.5Ti15, the SisN4/SisN4 joints were obtained bybrazing at 1373～1473 K for 0.9～5.4 ks under a pressure of 2×10-3 MPa. The effect of brazing parameters on theshear strength of the joint was investigated. When the brazing temperature and holding time is 1423 K and 5.4 ksrespectively, the maximum shear strength of the Si3N4/Si3N4 joint is obtained to be 198 MPa.

This paper is concerned with the numerical dissipativity of multistep Runge-Kutta methods for nonlinear Volterra delay-integro-differential equations. We investigate the dissipativity properties of （k, l）- algebraically stable multistep Runge-Kutta methods with constrained grid and an uniform grid. The finite- dimensional and infinite-dimensional dissipativity results of （k, /）-algebraically stable Runge-Kutta methods are obtained.

In the twin-roll strip casting process,molten steel solidifies by losing heat through its interface with the casting *** heat extraction along this interface has an effect on the quality of the strips and should be affected by coating,rolls’material,and cooling water flow *** is necessary to understand the effect of these casting parameters on the solidification structure of twin-roll strip casting.A three-dimensional computational domain is set up to simulate the solidification process of molten steel and heat exchange between steel strip/air,coating,rolls,and cooling water in the channel of roll *** effect of the cooling water intensity and flow intensity of molten steel in the pool on the solidification structures is studied during the thermal cycle of rolls in the twin-roll strip *** predicted results are helpful to optimize casting parameters and improve the strip quality in the twin-roll strip casting process.
