Giant benign phyllodes breast tumour with pulmonary nodule mimicking malignancy:A case report

BACKGROUND Phyllodes tumours(PTs)are fibroepithelial breast tumours,which can be classified as benign,borderline or malignant,according to their histological *** various huge borderline or malignant PTs have been previously described,a benign PT with a pulmonary nodule mimicking malignancy has not yet been *** order that doctors may have a comprehensive understanding of super-giant benign PTs(≥20 cm),we also performed a literature review to summarize the clinical features,differential diagnosis,and treatment of this *** SUMMARY A 42-year-old woman with severe anaemia presented with a rapidly enlarging right breast mass,measuring approximately 30 cm×25 cm×20 cm that was first noticed 1 year previously.A region of skin ulceration and necrosis(20 cm×15 cm)was observed on the lateral side of the *** tomography(CT)of the chest revealed a pulmonary nodule,which initially suggested a diagnosis of *** showed that the boundaries between the pectoralis major and the mass were blurred,which was presumed to be due to tumour ***,two core needle biopsies of the mass showed no evidence of *** these results,the tumour was removed by mastectomy of the right ***,postoperative pathology finally proved the diagnosis of a benign *** 1 year of follow-up,wedge resection of the small pulmonary nodule was performed,and it was confirmed that the lung nodule was actually adenocarcinoma rather than metastatic breast *** patient recovered very well without any postoperative *** This case is unique in that the giant breast mass initially mimicking a malignantclinical presentation was eventually pathologically confirmed to be a benign PT,which misled the diagnosis and complemented the atypical features of benign *** pathological and immunohistochemical results were important in the differential *** addition,total mastectomy should be recommended due to di

The simulating waves nearshore(SWAN) model has typically been designed for wave simulations in near-shore regions. In this study, the model's applicability to the simulation of typhoon waves in the South China Sea(SCS) was evaluated. A blended wind field, consisting of an interior domain based on Fujita's model and an exterior domain based on Takahashi's model, was used as the driving wind field. The waves driven by Typhoon Kai-tak over the SCS that occurred in 2012 were selected for the numerical simulation research. Sensitivity analyses of time step, grid resolution, and angle resolution were performed in order to obtain optimal model settings. Through sensitivity analyses, it can be found that the time step has a large influence on the results, while grid resolution and angle resolution have a little effect on the results.

Preparation of Highly Active Pt-K/γ-Al_2O_3 Catalyst for o-Phenylphenol Synthesis from o-Cyclohexenyl-cyclohexanone Dehydrogenation

0.5%Pt-K/γ-Al2O3 catalysts for the synthesis of o-phenylphenol（OPP） from o-cyclohexenyl-cyclohexanone （dimer） dehydrogenation were prepared by means of a two subsequent impregnation method. The effects of catalyst preparation parameters, such as K promoters, calcination, and reduction conditions, were investigated. The results showed that the addition of K2SO4 to Pt/γ-Al2O3 catalyst notably promoted the selectivity of OPP, and its optimum content was found to be 6% in mass fraction. The higher activity was obtained when Pt/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was calcined in nitrogen atmosphere at 400--500 ℃ and then reduced at the same temperature for 3 h in hydrogen atmosphere. The conversion of the dimer and the selectivity of OPP were always above 99% and 90%, respectively, over 0.5%Pt-6% K2SO4/γ-Al2O3 catalyst during the pilot scale test of 8000 h.

Impact of sand burial on maize(Zea mays L.)productivity and soil quality in Horqin sandy cropland,Inner Mongolia,China

Croplands are often suffering from sand burial in dry regions of northern China. For studying this phenomenon, we carried out a case study of field experiment including four sand burial levels, i.e. shallow （1-3 cm）, moderate （8-12 cm） and deep （15-20 cm） sand burials, and no sand burial （control, CK）, in a typical agro-pastoral transitional zone in Naiman Banner of eastern Inner Mongolia. The aim of this study was to assess the impacts of sand burial on maize （Zea rnays L.） productivity and the soil quality along a gradient of burial depths. Results showed that there was a strong negative effect of sand burial on maize productivity and soil quality, which significantly declined （P〈0.05） under moderate and deep sand burial treatments. In comparison with the CK, the maize yield and above-ground biomass reduced by 47.41% and 39.47%, respectively. The soil silt and clay, soil water, soil organic carbon and total nitrogen contents under deep sand burial decreased by 67.85%, 40.32%, 86.52% and 82.11%, respectively, while microbial biomass carbon, microbial abundance and enzyme activity decreased by 89.78%, 42.28%-79.66% and 69.51%-97.71%, respectively. There was no significant effect on crop productivity and soil quality with shallow sand burial treatment. The correlations analysis showed that there was significant positive correlations of both maize yield and above-ground biomass with soil silt and clay, soil organic carbon and total nitrogen contents, pH, electrical conductivity, soil water content, microbial abundance and biomass and all tested soil enzyme activities. Stepwise regression analysis indicated that soil water and total nitrogen contents, urease, cellobiohydrolase and peroxidase activities were key determining factors for maize productivity. This combination of factors explains reason of the decreased maize productivity with deep sand burial. Robust H∞ Control of Uncertain Switched Systems： a Sliding Mode Control Design

This paper develops a new method to the robust H_∞ control problem for a class of uncertain switched systems by constructing a single robust H_∞ sliding surface. The method consists of two phases. One is to construct a single sliding surface such that the reduced-order equivalent sliding motion restricted to the sliding surface is robustly stabilizable with H_∞ disturbance attenuation level γ under a hysteresis switching law; the other phase is to design variable structure controllers of subsystems to drive the state of the switched system to reach the single sliding surface in finite time and remain on it thereafter. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The dynamic recrystallization(DRX)mechanism of as-cast nickel base superalloy N10276 during primary hot working was investigated by compression tests at temperatures of 1000–1200℃ and strain rates between 0.01 and 10 s^(-1).Optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron backscattered diffraction technique and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the evolution of *** higher deformation temperature or lower strain rate,the true stress–true strain curves exhibit the characteristic of a peak stress followed by a steady state flow stress under large strains,confirming the occurrence of *** degree of DRX increases with elevating deformation *** the progress of DRX,low angle grain boundaries gradually decrease,while high angle grain boundaries increase *** studies have shown that discontinuous dynamic recrystallization is the main recrystallization *** there are few original grain boundaries and twin boundaries,and lack of second phase particles for particle stimulated nucleation,geometrically necessary boundaries are formed as supplementary nucleation sites through sub-grain boundary rotation and deformation twin *** annealing twins dominated by Σ3 grain boundaries are generated in large quantities during the growth of recrystallized grains.
