A robust viscoelastic surfactant tolerating 20% HCl up to 150℃ for oil well stimulation

Viscoelastic surfactants(VES)are often used as viscous diverters in acidizing stimulation to prolong the acid consumption time and maximize zonal coverage of the acid for improving well ***,the ceiling temperature of commercial VES cannot exceed 120℃in practical use because of the poor thermal stability and fragile molecular structure,hindering their implementation in hightemperature oil reservoirs,i.e.,≥150℃.Here we synthesized a novel C22-tailed diamine,N-erucaminopropyl-N,N-dimethylamine(EDPA),and examined comparatively its rheological behavior,assemblies morphology and molecular stability in 20 wt%HCl with a commercial VES,erucyl dimethyl amidopropyl betaine(EDAB).The feasibility of EDPA for acidizing stimulation was assessed by acid etching of carbonate rock with its HCl solution at 150℃.Rheological results showed that the 2.5 wt%EDPA—20 wt%HCl solution maintains stable viscosity of 90 m Pa s at 150℃for 60 min,while that of 2.0 wt%EDAB HCl solution is just 1 m Pa s under identical conditions.1H NMR spectra and cryo-TEM observations revealed that the chemical structure and self-assembled architectures of EDPA remained intact in such context,but the EDAB suffered from degradation due to the hydrolysis of the amide group,accounting for the poor heat-resistance and *** reaction rate of 2.5 wt%EDPA HCl solution with carbonate rock was one order of magnitude lower than that of 20 wt%HCl solution at 150℃,underpinning the potential of EDPA to be used in the high-temperature reservoirs *** work improved the thermal tolerance of VES in highly concentrated HCl solution,paving a feasible way for the acidization of high-temperature reservoir environments(~150℃).

A comprehensive research on wear resistance of GH4169 superalloy in longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic vibration side milling with tool wear and surface quality

To improve the service and machining performance of the workpiece, the tool wear mechanisms, surface machining quality, and wear resistance in conventional side milling(CSM)and longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic vibration side milling(LTUVSM) of GH4169 superalloy at different cutting lengths are investigated systematically. Tool wear mechanisms are revealed and the correlation between machined surface quality with tool wear is analyzed correspondingly. Tool wear patterns mainly include adhesive wear, diffusion wear, abrasive wear, and chipping *** surface quality is achieved in LTUVSM due to a maximum reduction of flank wear bandwidth and wear rate by 71.9% and 71.5%, respectively, compared to CSM. The friction coefficient,initial wear stage time, and wear volume of dry sliding wear were measured to evaluate the workpiece wear resistance. The maximum reductions in friction coefficient and wear volume in LTUVSM are 18.2% and 15.8% compared to CSM. The regular ultrasonic vibration textures suppress the friction and the growth of contact nodes in the contact area, decreasing the degree of surface wear, which is demonstrated by a 38.8% increase in initial wear stage time compared to *** conclusion, the workpiece in LTUVSM exhibits higher wear resistance because of the improvement of tool wear and the guarantee of surface quality.

Microstructure and Internal Friction Behavior of Laser 3D Printed Fe-Based Amorphous Composites

Laser 3D printing,also known as laser additive manufacturing(LAM),is favored for its ability to form bulk metallic glass(BMG)and its composite materials(BMGcs)with freeform *** this work,two different kinds of Fe_(41)Co_(7)Cr_(15)Mo_(14)C_(15)B_(6)Y_(2)amorphous coatings(A and B)were prepared by using LAM technology under air-and water-cooled conditions,respectively;meanwhile,to reduce the cracks generated due to the residual thermal stresses,coating C obtained by air-sweep annealing of B with a low energy-density *** morphology and amorphous content and microstructure of the coatings were investigated,the results show many cracks in coating B deposited under water-cooled conditions,and its microstructure shows an amorphous-crystal-nanocrystalline mixed *** was suppressed in coating C,obtained by air-sweep annealing based on coating B,but the amorphous content was reduced from 32.6 to 13.4%.And the hardness and corrosion resistance of the coating will increase with the increase in the amorphous ***,the internal friction behavior of a BMGcs was prepared on the basis of the process of sample C is compared with that of as-cast amorphous *** results show that the low temperature internal friction behavior of BMGcs is affected by the defects produced during printing,and the high temperature internal friction behavior is affected by the precipitated hard phase.

A study on carbon emission calculation in operation stage of residential buildings based on micro electricity usage behavior:Three case studies in China

Along with the improvement of social productivity and living standard,residential buildings generate a growing portion of carbon emissions,especially during the operation ***,energy use behaviors are usually ignored in carbon emission *** study focuses on calculating carbon emissions during the operation stage for residential buildings based on the characteristics of energy use behaviors in different ***,we investigated energy use behaviors in dwellings across three cities in China:Xi'an,Shanghai and ***,we established calibrated carbon emission models and optimization models with different green building measures for residential *** results of this research reveal a significant disparity between the energy usage habits of residents in different climate *** carbon emissions of residential electricity bills in Xi'an,Shanghai and Fuzhou are 13.6 kgCO_(2)/(m^(2)·a)(excluding central heating),29.3 kgCO_(2)/(m^(2)·a)and 17.2 kgCO_(2)/(m^(2)·a),*** carbon emissions account for 32.2%-64.1% of the *** comparison to the model based on internal standard setting,the accuracy of the models using actual internal has improved by 25.9%-37.4%.The three-star green building methods have the highest carbon reduction rate among different star buildings,the emission reduction rates are around 30%.This study's findings are useful for carbon emission calculation and green building design of residential buildings in the future.

Influence of Incomplete Soil Plugs on Bearing Capacities of Bucket Foundations in Clay

Due to the uneven seabed and heaving of soil during pumping,incomplete soil plugs may occur during the installation of bucket foundations,and the impacts on the bearing capacities of bucket foundations need to be *** this paper,the contact ratio(the ratio of the top diameter of the soil plug to the diameter of the bucket)and the soil plug ratio(the ratio of the soil heave height to the skirt height)are defined to describe the shape and size of the incomplete soil ***,finite element models are established to investigate the bearing capacities of bucket foundations with incomplete soil plugs and the influences of the contact ratios,and the soil plug ratios on the bearing capacities are *** results show that the vertical bearing capacity of bucket foundations in homogeneous soil continuously improves with the increase of the contact ***,in normally consolidated soil,the vertical bearing capacity barely changes when the contact ratio is smaller than 0.75,while the bearing capacity suddenly increases when the contact ratio increases to 1 due to the change of failure *** contact ratio hardly affects the horizontal bearing capacity of bucket ***,the moment bearing capacity improves with the increase of the contact ratio for small aspect ratios,but hardly varies with increasing contact ratio for aspect ratios larger than ***,the reduction coefficient method is proposed based on this analysis to calculate the bearing capacities of bucket foundations considering the influence of incomplete soil *** comparison results show that the proposed reduction coefficient method can be used to evaluate the influences of incomplete soil plug on the bearing capacities of bucket foundations.

This paper develops a quadratic function convex approximation approach to deal with the negative definite problem of the quadratic function induced by stability analysis of linear systems with time-varying *** introducing two adjustable parameters and two free variables,a novel convex function greater than or equal to the quadratic function is constructed,regardless of the sign of the coefficient in the quadratic *** developed lemma can also be degenerated into the existing quadratic function negative-determination(QFND)lemma and relaxed QFND lemma respectively,by setting two adjustable parameters and two free variables as some particular ***,for a linear system with time-varying delays,a relaxed stability criterion is established via our developed lemma,together with the quivalent reciprocal combination technique and the Bessel-Legendre *** a result,the conservatism can be reduced via the proposed approach in the context of constructing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals for the stability analysis of linear time-varying delay ***,the superiority of our results is illustrated through three numerical examples.

Detection and analysis of serum bile acid profile in patients with colonic polyps

BACKGROUND Analyzing the variations in serum bile acid(BA)profile can provide a certain biological basis for early warning and prevention of various *** is currently no comprehensive study on the relationship between the serum BA profile and colonic *** To study the serum BA profile detection results of patients with colonic polyps,and analyze the correlation between BA and colonic *** From January 1,2022,to June 1,2023,204 patients with colonic polyps who were diagnosed and treated at Zhongda Hospital Southeast University were chosen as the study subjects,and 135 non-polyp people who underwent physical examination were chosen as the control *** all patients'clinical information,typical biochemical indicators,and BA *** Compared with the control group,the serum levels of taurocholic acid,glycocholic acid,glycochenodeoxycholic acid,and taurochenodeoxycholic acid in the colonic polyp group were significantly higher than those in the control group,while the content of deoxycholic acid(DCA)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).When colonic polyps were analyzed as subgroups,it was shown that there was a strong correlation between changes in the BA profile and polyp diameter,location,morphology,pathological kind,*** The serum BA profile showed significant changes in patients with colonic polyps,with a significant increase in primary conjugated BA content and a decrease in secondary free bile acid DCA *** is a certain correlation between primary free BA and pathological parameters of polyps.

Synergy Between Soft Feet and an Active Tail to Enhance the Climbing Ability of a Bio-inspired Climbing Robot

Lizards use the synergy between their feet and tail to climb on slopes and vertical *** use their soft adhesive feet with millions of small hairs to increase their contact area with the terrain surface and press their tails against the terrain to actively maintain stability during *** by this,we propose a bio-inspired climbing robot based on a new approach wherein the synergy between soft feet and an active tail with a soft adhesive tip allows the robot to climb stably on even and uneven terrains at different slope *** evaluate and compare the climbing performance of the robot on three different terrains(hard,soft,and fluffy)at different slope *** robot configurations are employed,including those with standard hard feet and soft feet in combination with an active tail-with and without a soft *** experimental results show that the robot having soft feet and a tail with the soft tip achieves the best climbing performance on all terrains,with maximum climbing slopes of 40°,45°,and 50°on fluffy,soft,and hard terrains,*** payload capacity depends on the type of terrain and the inclination ***,our robot performs multi-terrain transitions(climbing from horizontal to sloped terrains)on three different terrains of a *** approach can allow a climbing robot to walk and climb on different terrains,extending the operational range of the robot to areas with complex terrains and slopes,e.g.,in inspection,exploration,and construction.

Measurement and analysis of airtightness safeguard measures for typical ultra-low energy buildings

Zero-energy buildings constitute an effective means of reducing urban carbon *** airtightness,a typical characteristic of zero-energy building,is closely related to the building’s air infiltration and has a signifi-cant impact on the performance of the building envelope,indoor air quality,building energy consumption,and efficient operation of air-conditioning ***,thus far,systematic developments in high-airtightness assurance technologies remain *** existing studies have tested the airtightness of buildings and typical building components;however,in-depth analyses into the formation of infiltration have not been ***-fore,for realizing zero-energy buildings,ensuring airtightness is an urgent problem that needs to be ***,in this study,based on several building airtightness measurement studies,the typical air leakage paths in buildings were summarized,and the causes of typical air leakage components in buildings were further analysed by tracing construction ***,targeted measures for airtightness in buildings were estab-lished and applied to practical ***,the resulting improved building airtightness was measured and the results show that the airtightness of the measured ultra-low energy consumption buildings ranges from 0.13 h^(−1)to 0.57 h^(−1),with a mean value of 0.32 h^(−1).The effectiveness of the airtightness safeguard measures was *** study serves as a basis for the assumption of the air leakage path distribution when simulating building air infiltration and also provides a design reference for improving the construction technologies and airtightness of buildings.
