Advances in targeted nanotherapeutics： From bioconjugation to biomimicry

Since the emergence of cancer nanomedicine, researchers have had intense interest in developing nanoparticles （NPs） that can specifically target diseased sites while avoiding healthy tissue to mitigate the off-target effects seen with conventional treatments like chemotherapy. Initial endeavors focused on the bioconjugation of targeting agents to NPs, and more recently, researchers have begun to develop biomimetic NP platforms that can avoid immune recognition to maximally accumulate in tumors. In this review, we describe the advantages and limitations of each of these targeting strategies. First, we review developments in bioconjugation strategies, where NPs are coated with biomolecules such as antibodies, aptamers, peptides, and small molecules to enable cell-specific binding. While bioconjugated NPs offer many exciting features and have improved pharmacokinetics and biodistribution relative to unmodified NPs, they are still recognized by the body as ＂foreign＂, resulting in their clearance by the mononuclear phagocytic system （MPS）. To overcome this limitation, researchers have recently begun to investigate biomimetic approaches that can hide NPs from immune recognition and reduce clearance by the MPS. These biomimetic NPs fall into two distinct categories： synthetic NPs that present naturally occurring structures, and NPs that are completely disguised by natural structures. Overall bioconjugated and biomimetic NPs have substantial potential to improve upon conventional treatments by reducing off-target effects through site-specific delivery. and they show great promise for future standards of care. Here, we provide a summary of each strategy, discuss considerations for their design moving forward, and highlight their potential clinical impact on cancer therapy.

The origins and prehistoric spread of rice agriculture between East and West Asia are hot topics in the current archaeological *** this study,we present the results from a preliminary archaeobotanical study at the Khalchayan site in Uzbekistan,where we recovered the oldest securely dated rice thus far identified in Central *** directly dated the rice grains to 1714–1756 cal yr BP(Kushan period),and morphologically compared them with other contemporaneous cultivated rice remains from China and *** morphological results showed that the rice remains found at Khalchayan are more similar to cultivated japonica rice from southern China and northwestern *** archeological and chronological results from the surrounding area show that the rice remains found at Khalchayan likely spread along a southern Himalayan route from southwest China to northern India and finally reached the Amu *** rice remains from Khalchayan are the first directly dated and well-reported rice remains found in Central *** the Islamic period,rice was an important culinary aspect of the culture in Central Asia,but the cultural affinity towards rice only developed over the past two *** study provides new information on the spread of rice agriculture globally,especially in arid-semiarid inland regions.

SSRE:Cell Type Detection Based on Sparse Subspace Representation and Similarity Enhancement

Accurate identification of cell types from single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)data plays a critical role in a variety of scRNA-seq analysis *** task corresponds to solving an unsupervised clustering problem,in which the similarity measurement between cells affects the result *** many approaches for cell type identification have been proposed,the accuracy still needs to be *** this study,we proposed a novel single-cell clustering framework based on similarity learning,called *** models the relationships between cells based on subspace assumption,and generates a sparse representation of the cell-to-cell *** sparse representation retains the most similar neighbors for each ***,three classical pairwise similarities are incorporated with a gene selection and enhancement strategy to further improve the effectiveness of *** on ten real scRNA-seq datasets and five simulated datasets,SSRE achieved the superior performance in most cases compared to several state-of-the-art single-cell clustering *** addition,SSRE can be extended to visualization of scRNA-seq data and identification of differentially expressed *** matlab and python implementations of SSRE are available at https://***/CSUBioGroup/SSRE.

Drug targeting through platelet membrane-coated nanoparticles for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

The effective drug treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is hindered by poor delivery efficiency to the diseased site and the serious side effects caused by wide-spread drug distribution. Traditional drug-targeting strategies, such as ligand modification, are complex, laborious, and inefficient. Inspired by the intrinsic relationship between platelets and RA, platelet-mimetic nanoparticles (PNPs) were developed for targeted drug delivery in RA. Through platelet receptor-mediated adhesion, an intact platelet membrane was coated onto poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles, endowing the resulting PNPs with various functional receptors. By coating with platelet membranes, the nanoparticles were stabilized and had a better circulation profile, providing a benefit for passive targeting. In vitro binding of PNPs to inflamed endothelium, and in vivo accumulation in joints of a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model of RA were significantly improved via P-selectin and GVPI recognition, indicating that the PNPs could effectively target to RA tissues through multiple mechanisms, similar to natural platelets. Moreover, FK506, a model drug, was loaded into the PNPs and used to treat RA. Pharmacodynamic studies demonstrated that the FK506-PNPs had a notable anti-arthritic effect in CIA mice. This study provides a new biomimetic targeting strategy with great potential for the treatment of RA.

Osteoblast behaviors on titania nanotube and mesopore layers

Titania nanotubes and mesopores with different diameter sizes were prepared by electrochemical oxidation of *** responses of osteoblastic cells isolated from Sprague–Dawley rats to the nanotube and mesopore layers were investigated in sequential events of cell adhesion,morphology,actin cytoskeleton,proliferation,differentiation,and ***-structural features,especially diameters of the nanotubes and mesopores,obviously influenced on cell behaviors in the sequential *** cells showed better proliferation and differentiation abilities on the specimens with the nanotubes and mesopores than on flat titanium *** levers of calcium mineralization were observed on the nanotube and mesopore *** cells adhered much faster onto the nanotubes with about 170nm diameter and the mesopores with about 400nm diameter than onto flat titanium disk and 50nm *** is an appropriate range of the tube/pore sizes,and in this present work,titania nantubes with 170nm diameter is the best for enhancing functions of osteoblasts.

Applications of Deep Learning to MRI Images:A Survey

Deep learning provides exciting solutions in many fields, such as image analysis, natural language processing, and expert system, and is seen as a key method for various future applications. On account of its non-invasive and good soft tissue contrast, in recent years, Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) has been attracting increasing attention. With the development of deep learning, many innovative deep learning methods have been proposed to improve MRI image processing and analysis performance. The purpose of this article is to provide a comprehensive overview of deep learning-based MRI image processing and analysis. First, a brief introduction of deep learning and imaging modalities of MRI images is given. Then, common deep learning architectures are introduced. Next, deep learning applications of MRI images, such as image detection, image registration, image segmentation, and image classification are discussed. Subsequently, the advantages and weaknesses of several common tools are discussed, and several deep learning tools in the applications of MRI images are ***, an objective assessment of deep learning in MRI applications is presented, and future developments and trends with regard to deep learning for MRI images are addressed.

Environment Restricts and Policy Choice in International Harmonization of Accounting Standards and Effect Evaluation——Evidence from the Non-monetary Transaction

The paper tests accounting earnings quality of the non-monetary transaction standard before and after the revision, and comes to the conclusion that the standard revision under domestic conditions which restricts the use of fair value and does not recognize exchange revenues effectively prevents the company from managing earnings to improve earnings quality. The earnings management of the public companies has become more difficult, and earnings quality has been improved. But the earnings management of the public company does not decrease, some public companies make earnings management by other ways, The researcher provides direct evidence in explaining environment restricts have a role in accounting internationalization, explaining the difficulties of standard-making.

To investigate the structure-activity relationship of polysaccharide and obtain a better antidepressant polysaccharide,the antidepressant-like activity of a carboxymethyl polysaccharide(C-MEPS2)subjected to submerged fermentation was systematically ***12-H cell and Kunming mice were used to investigate the differences and their mechanism in the antidepressant effects of C-MEPS2 and *** experiments have showed that C-MEPS2 has a better antidepressant effect than MEPS2.C-MEPS2 could exert antidepressant effects related to catecholamine synthesis with specifi c sites of TH,D2DR,and *** addition,C-MEPS2 could repair the Res-induced damage in PC12-H cell,stabilize the mitochondrial membrane potential and regulate intracellular Ca^(2+) concentration,thus reducing cell apoptosis caused by *** common dosing experiments on animals further proved that CMEPS2 could signifi cantly improve the antidepressant effect of derivatives without affecting the antidepressant mechanism of *** is speculated that it may be related to carboxymethylated modifi cation.

Optimization of gasoline hydrocarbon compositions for reducing exhaust emissions

Effects of hydrocarbon compositions on raw exhaust emissions and combustion processes were studied on an engine test bench. The optimization of gasoline hydrocarbon composition was discussed. As olefins content increased from 10.0% to 25.0% in volume, the combustion duration was shortened by about 2 degree crank angle （°CA）, and the engine-out THC emission was reduced by about 15%. On the other hand, as aromatics content changed from 35.0% to 45.0%, the engine-out NOx emissions increased by 4%. An increment in olefins content resulted in a slight increase in engine-out CO emission, while the aromatics content had little effect on engine-out total hydrocarbon （THC） and CO emissions. Over the new European driving cycle （NEDC）, the THC, NOx and CO emissions of fuel with 25.0% olefins and 35.0% aromatics were about 45%, 21% and 19% lower than those of fuel with 10.0% olefins and 40.0% aromatics, respectively. The optimized gasoline compositions for new engines and new vehicles have low aromatics and high olefins contents.
