Effect of Catechins on Myocardial Injury and Inflammatory Factors in Rats with Coronary Heart Disease under PI3K/Akt/eNOS Signaling Pathway

Objective: To discuss the effect of catechins on myocardial injury and inflammatory factors in rats with coronary heart disease under PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathway. Methods: A total of 50 healthy adult pathogen-free(SPF)-grade SD rats were divided into five groups by random number table method. Except for the blank group, the other four groups were fed with high fat to construct a rat model of coronary artery disease. After the model was successfully constructed, the blank group and the model group were given saline by gavage, the positive group was given 25 mg/kg aspirin by gavage, the low-dose group was given 20 mg/kg catechin by gavage, and the high-dose group was given 60 mg/kg catechin by gavage. The expression levels of PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathway-related proteins, myocardial injury markers, myocardial infarction and myocardial inflammatory factors were observed and compared in the five groups. Results:Overall, there were significant differences in the expression levels of PI3K, p-Akt/Akt,and p-eNOS/eNOS in the five groups of rats(P<0.05); there were significant differences in the expression levels of CK-MB and c Tn I in the five groups of rats(P<0.05); there were significant differences in ischemic area, infarct area, and myocardial infarction range in the four groups of rats, except for the blank group(P<0.05); there were significant differences in the expression levels of IL-1β, IL-18, TNF-α, and ET-1 in the five groups of rats(P<0.05). Conclusion: Catechins can reduce the severity of myocardial injury, reduce the range of myocardial infarction, and reduce myocardial inflammation in rats with coronary heart disease by up-regulating expression level of PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathway-related proteins. Compared with aspirin, high-dose catechins have a more prominent protective effect on the myocardium of rats with coronary heart disease.

The Optical Variability Properties of TeV Blazars

Variability is one of the typical observational properties of blazars and the spectral changes are usually associated with variability,although this kind of association is unclear *** this work,we used data from the Steward Observatory blazar monitoring program to investigate the optical variability properties including the short-term timescale,the brightness-dependent spectral property,the correlation between the the brightness variation and the polarization,and then estimate the Doppler factors based on the obtained short timescale to study the polarization property for a sample of 20 TeV *** analyses arrive at the following results:（1） The largest variation amplitude in R-band,ΔRM,covers a range fromΔRM=0.29 mag （1ES 2344+514） toΔRM=4.66 mag （3C 279）.（2） Intra-day variability was found from five sources with timescales from 0.14 day for S5 0716+714 to 0.98 day for PKS 2155–*** sources show spectra that are bluer when they become brighter,suggesting a common bluer-when-brighter property.（3） The plot of the polarization versus estimated Doppler factor is consistent with the Doppler factor dependent formula of polarization.（4） The largest polarization is correlated with the largest optical variation,suggesting that the high polarization and high amplitude variation are both the indicator of beaming effect.

FAM53B promotes pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma metastasis by regulating macrophage M2 polarization

Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infections in children: an overview of systematic reviews and Meta-analyses

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate and summarise the evidence from published Meta-analyses/systematic reviews(MAs/SRs) of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infections(RRTIs) and to provide a scientific basis for the clinical treatment of RRTIs with TCM. METHODS: Studies were retrieved from Chinese and English databases including the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, China Science and Technology Journal Database, SinoM ed, PubM ed, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library and EMbase from their establishment date to March 2023. Involved studies were screened, extracted, and evaluated for quality by two researchers independently. The a measurement tool to assess systematic reviews(AMSTAR) 2 scale was used for methodological quality evaluation, as well as the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and Meta-analyses(PRISMA) 2020 statement for report quality evaluation, the risk of bias in systematic reviews(ROBIS) tool for risk of bias, and the grading of recommendations, assessment, development and evaluation(GRADE) quality assessment tool for evidence quality. RESULTS: Twenty MAs/SRs studies were included, including analyses of 274 original studies involving 38 335 patients with RRTIs. The AMSTAR 2 scale evaluation results showed that 19 studies were of very low quality and one of moderate quality. The ROBIS evaluation results showed that 11 MAs/SRs were at high risk and nine at low risk of bias. The PRISMA 2020 report quality showed the included studies had scores between 23.5 and 35.5, among them one with high quality, 17 with moderate quality and two with low quality. The GRADE system results showed that among 126 outcome indicators, only 17 had moderate quality of evidence, 27 had low quality, 82 had very low quality, and none had high quality. Clinical characteristics of peripapillary hyperreflective ovoid mass-like structures in myopic children

Hydrogel-based triboelectric nanoge nerator(TENG)has a promising applied prospect in wearable electronic ***,its low performance,poor stability,insufficient recyclability and inferior self-healing seriously hinder its ***,we report a robust route to a liquid metal(LM)/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel-based TENG(LP-TENG).Owing to the intrinsically liquid feature of conductive LM within the flexible PVA hydrogel,the as-prepared LP-TENG exhibited comprehensiye advantages of adaptability,biocompatibility,outstanding electrical performance,superior stability,recyclability and diverse applications,which were unattainable by traditional ***,the LP-TENG delivered appealing open circuit voltage of 250 V,short circuit current of 4μA and transferred charge of 120 nC with high stability,outperforming most advanced TENG *** LP-TENG was successfully employed for versatile applications with multifunctionality,including human motion detection,handwriting recognition,energy collection,message transmission and human-machine *** work presents significant prospects for crafting advanced materials and devices in the fields of wearable electronics,flexible skin and smart robots.

Rheum palmatum L. and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. Alleviates Acute Pancreatitis by Regulating Th17 Cell Differentiation: An Integrated Network Pharmacology Analysis, Molecular Dynamics Simulation and Experimental Validation

Objective: To identify the core targets of Rheum palmatum L. and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,(Dahuang-Danshen, DH-DS) and the mechanism underlying its therapeutic efficacy in acute pancreatitis(AP)using a network pharmacology approach and validate the findings in animal experiments. Methods: Network pharmacology analysis was used to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of DH-DS in AP. The reliability of the results was verified by molecular docking simulation and molecular dynamics ***, the results of network pharmacology enrichment analysis were verified by immunohistochemistry,Western blot analysis and real-time quantitative PCR, respectively. Results: Sixty-seven common targets of DH-DS in AP were identified and mitogen-activated protein kinase 3(MAPK3), Janus kinase 2(JAK2), signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3), protein c-Fos(FOS) were identified as core targets in the protein interaction(PPI) network analysis. Gene ontology analysis showed that cellular response to organic substance was the main functions of DH-DS in AP, and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis showed that the main pathway included Th17 cell differentiation. Molecular docking simulation confirmed that DH-DS binds with strong affinity to MAPK3, STAT3 and FOS. Molecular dynamics simulation revealed that FOS-isotanshinone Ⅱ and STAT3-dan-shexinkum d had good binding capacity. Animal experiments indicated that compared with the AP model group, DH-DS treatment effectively alleviated AP by inhibiting the expression of interleukin-1β, interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α, and blocking the activation of Th17 cell differentiation(P<0.01). Conclusion: DH-DS could inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors and protect pancreatic tissues,which would be functioned by regulating Th17 cell differentiation-related m RNA and protein expressions.
