Estimation of the three-dimensional in situ stress field around a large deep underground cavern group near a valley

Understanding three-dimensional(3D)in situ stress field is of key importance for estimating the stability of large deep underground cavern groups near ***,the complete 3D in situ stress fields around large deep underground cavern groups are difficult to determine based on in situ stress data from a limited number of measuring points due to the insufficient representativeness and unreliability of such *** this study,an integrated approach for estimating the 3D in situ stress field around a large deep underground cavern group near a valley is developed based on incomplete in situ stress measurements and the stress-induced failures of tunnels excavated prior to the step excavation of the cavern *** integrated approach is implemented via four interrelated and progressive basic steps,*** of the regional tectonic stress field direction,analyses of in situ stress characteristics and measurement reliability,regression-based in situ stress field analysis and reliability assessment,and modified in situ stress field analysis and reliability *** orientations and magnitudes of the 3D in situ stress field can be analyzed and obtained at a strategic level following these four basic ***,the tectonic stress field direction around the cavern group is deduced in accordance with the regional tectonic framework and verified using a regional crustal deformation velocity ***,the reliability of the in situ stress measurements is verified based on the locations and depths of stressinduced brittle failures in small tunnels(such as exploratory tunnels and pilot tunnels)within the excavation range of the cavern ***,considering the influences of the valley topography and major geological structures,the 3D in situ stress field is regressed using numerical simulation and multiple linear regression techniques based on the in situ stress ***,the regressed in situ stress field is further modified and reveri

Number concentration and size distributions of submicron particles in Jinan urban area:Characteristics in summer and winter

The aerosol number concentration and size distribution were measured with the newly developed Wide-range Particle Spectrometer in summer and winter of 2006 at the urban site of Jinan City. Here reported the characteristics of fine particles of the different observation seasons. Relative high number concentrations for the particles in the diameter range of 10-500 nm were observed in both seasons. It was found that the dominant number distributed in particle diameter smaller than 100 nm and the percentage over the number concentration of all air particles is much higher than what has been measured in other urban sites over the world. The number mean diameter in summer was much smaller than in winter, strongly suggesting the different origin of ultrafine particles in different seasons. That is, particles in ultrafine mode mainly came from nucleation and new particle formation in summer while from traffic emission in winter. The diurnal variation also supported this point. Number concentration in the diameter range of 10-200 um got their peak values at noontime, well correlated with the mixing ratio of SO2 and the intensity of solar radiation in summer. While in winter, those in the same diameter range showed the main peaks during the traffic hours happened in the morning and evening.

Banerjee-Ghosh's work shows that the singularity problem can be naturally avoided by the fact that black hole evaporation stops when the remnant mass is greater than the critical mass when including the generalized uncertainty principle(GUP)effects with first-and second-order *** this paper,we first follow their steps to reexamine Banerjee-Ghosh's work,but we find an interesting result:the remnant mass is always equal to the critical mass at the final stage of black hole evaporation with the inclusion of the GUP ***,we use Hossenfelder's GUP,i.e.,another GUP model with higher-order corrections,to restudy the final evolution behavior of the black hole evaporation,and we confirm the intrinsic self-consistency between the black hole remnant and critical masses once *** both cases,we also find that the thermodynamic quantities are not singular at the final stage of black hole evaporation.

针对通信网络能耗特点及环境条件,根据通信设备、电源和基站的能耗现状,分析通信网络的能耗分布及节能潜力,提出通信网络节能降耗的途径与措施。以此为基础,提出并设计通信机房新风节能改造方案和移动通信基站综合节能解决方案。运用定性比较评估方法,对该方案在中国电信、中国移动等通信运营企业实际应用的节能效果进行科学测量统计。应用试验结果表明:通信运营商有效控制管理能耗,在实现信息化、精确化管理基础上,因地制宜采用节能技术,建设节能型通信网络,有利于通信网络的节能减排与可持续发展,保证通信网络可靠、高效运行,降低资本开支和运营开支。

Power efficiency(PE)at high brightness is considered as the rigorous standard of high-quality white organic light-emitting diodes(WOLEDs),for which the host material plays a significant role in energy conservation for practical lighting ***,PE is successfully enhanced to a new level through the method ofπ-stacked host molecular with spirofluorene *** design host materials by confining two donor units in a very short distance to enlarge theπ-electron spatial delocalization for facilitating the hole hopping process and engaging a rigid donor as the space-lock to suppress the quenching effect as well as induce host bipolar *** on this unique molecular design,the red,green,and blue(RGB)monochromic organic lightemitting diodes(OLEDs)demonstrate high external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)of 28.4%,26.0%,and 31.2%with ultralow roll-off,*** encouragingly,the warm WOLEDs achieve record-high current efficiency(CE)of 109.5 cd A^(-1),PE of 109.1 lm W^(-1),and EQE of 32.9%.Even under operating brightness of 1,000 cd m^(-2),the devices can still realize 94.7 lm W^(-1)of PE,which represents the highest applicable PE value in the reported WOLEDs and for the first time single-host based WOLEDs with a performance exceeding that of a conventional fluorescent tube(70 lm W^(-1))without any light-extraction technique.

CONSPECTUS:The development of cutting-edge optoelectronic devices is rapidly changing science and *** organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs),as one of the most applicable techniques of organic electronics,are experiencing the process of materials’*** all the organic units to construct OLED materials,the spiro structure and its derived compounds have been widely studied due to the good thermal stability and unique orthogonally rigid *** had shown great potential in first generation fluorescent OLEDs(FOLEDs)and second generation phosphorescent OLEDs(PhOLEDs).Recently,it has achieved outstanding performance in third generation thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)OLEDs,which is attributed to its orthogonal structure caused by the spiro atom;thus the spiro compound can innately separate the hole and electron which is beneficial for minimizing the singlet−triplet splitting energy(ΔE_(ST)).The most classic aromatic spiro unit is 9,9′-spriobifluorene(SBF),which was first reported in *** study of aromatic spiro compounds is closely related to the development of organic semiconductors;now,the structure−property relationship of spiro compounds is getting clearer and attracting wide attention from the material community.

Helicobacter pylori(***),a major pathogen colonizing the human stomach,shows great genetic *** analysis of strains from different *** populations revealed that the genome size of strains from East Asia decreased to 1.60 Mbp,which is significantly smaller than that from Europe or *** parallel with the genome reduction,the number of protein coding genes was decreased,and the guaninecytosine content was lowered to 38.9%.Elimination of non-essential genes by mutations is likely to be a major cause of the genome *** with a small genome cost less ***,*** strains from East Asia may have proliferation and growth advantages over those from Western *** could result in enhanced capacity of bacterial ***,the reduced genome size potentially contributes to the high prevalence of *** in East Asia.
