We present accurate positions and multi-color photometry for 41 star clusters detected by Melnick & D'odorico in the nearby spiral galaxy M33 as a part of the BATC Color Survey of the sky in 13 intermediate-band filters from 3800 to 10 000 A. The coordinates of the clusters are found from the HST Guide Star Catalog. By aperture photometry, we obtain the spectral energy distributions of the clusters. Using the relations between the BATC intermediate-band system and UBVRI broadband system, we derive their V magnitudes and B - V colors and find that most of them are blue, which is consistent with previous findings.

In the analysis of quantum discord, the minimization of average entropy traditionally involved over orthogonal projective measurements may be attained at more optimal decompositions by using the positive-operator-valued measure（POVM）measurements. Taking advantage of the quantum steering ellipsoid in combination with three-element POVM optimization,we show that, for a family of two-qubit X states locally interacting with Markovian non-dissipative environments, the decay rates of quantum discord show smooth dynamical evolutions without any sudden change. This is in contrast to two-element orthogonal projective measurements, in which case the sudden change of the decay rates of quantum and classical decoherences may be a common phenomenon. Notwithstanding this, we find that a subset of X states（including the Bell diagonal states） involving POVM optimization can still preserve the sudden change character as usual.

An Improved Method for Generating Typical Meteorological Years Used in Building Energy Simulation in China

The present study proposes an improved method for generating better typical meteorological years( TMYs) used in building energy simulation in China. Modifications are made to the commonly used Sandia method,by optimizing the weightings of indices and thus giving more emphasis to dry bulb temperature and relative humidity and less to wind velocity. After analyzing the solar heat gain on the vertical envelop,an index of diffuse radiation rather than direct normal radiation is added for solar radiation. Using the improved method proposed,TMYs for 5 representative cities of 5 major climate zones in China are generated from the meteorological data recorded during the period 1981—2010. The results show that,compared with previous studies,the monthly diffuse solar radiation of typical meteorological months generated by the improved method are the"closest"to the 30-year average,and the comparison between annual diffuse radiation for the TMY and the 30-year annual average is improved,while little adverse effect is produced on global horizontal radiation comparisons,indicating that the improved method is more suitable to generate the TMY data than previous studies.

Studies were carried out on the transesterification of the Chinese Spicehush （Lindera communis） seed （LCS） oil with methanol for the production of biodiesel. The methyl esters of LCS oil were compared with soybean esters to determine biodiesel fuel performance and properties. The fatty acids content in the seed kernel oil （LKO） and coat oil （LCO） were quantified by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry method （C-C-MS）. LKO contains 95.1% saturated acids （capric, lauric, myristic and palmitic） and 2.3% unsaturated acids （oleic）. LCO contains 24.6% saturated acids （palmitic and stearic） and 73.6% unsaturated acids （oleic, linoleic and palmitoleic）. The kinematic viscosity, cold filter plugging point, cloud point, flash point and cetane index were determined. The methyl esters of LKO had a higher kinematic viscosity and a lower cold filter plugging point value, so it has better performance in cold weather. The biodiesel of LCS oil has fuel properties within the limits prescribed by American （ASTM D 6751-02） standards, except for a slightly lower flash point of LKO biodiesel than that prescribed by these standards （130℃）. Thus, LKO and LCO biodiesel have great potential to be used on a large scale as fuel for diesel engines.

This paper proposes a checking method based on mutual instances and discusses three key problems in the method： how to deal with mistakes in the mutual instances and how to deal with too many or too few mutual instances. It provides the checking based on the weighted mutual instances considering fault tolerance, gives a way to partition the large-scale mutual instances, and proposes a process greatly reducing the manual annotation work to get more mutual instances. Intension annotation that improves the checking method is also discussed. The method is practical and effective to check subsumption relations between concept queries in different ontologies based on mutual instances.

Metal-ion capacitors could merit advantages from both batteries and capacitors,but they need to overcome the severe restrictions from their sluggish reaction kinetics of the battery type electrode and low specific capacitance of capacitor type electrode for both high energy and power ***,we use the Kirkendall effect for the first time to synthesize unique tubular hierarchical molybdenum dioxide with encapsulated nitrogen-doped carbon sheets while in situ realizing phosphorus-doping to create rich oxygen vacancies(P-MoO_(2-x)@NP-C)as a sodium-ion *** and theoretical analysis confirm that the P-doping introduced oxygen defects can partially convert the high-bond-energy Mo–O to low-bond-energy Mo–P,resulting in a low oxidation state of molybdenum for enhanced surface reactivity and rapid reaction *** as-prepared P-MoO_(2-x)@NP-C as an ion-battery electrode is further used to pair active N-doped carbon nanosheet(N-C-A)electrode for Na-ion hybrid capacitor,delivering excellent performance with an energy density of 140.3 Wh kg^(−1),a power density of 188.5 W kg^(−1)and long stable life in non-aqueous solution,which ranks the best among all reported MoO x-based hybrid capacitors.P-MoO_(2-x)@NP-C is also used to fabricate a zinc-ion hybrid capacitor,also accomplishing a remarkable energy density of 43.8 Wh kg^(−1),a power density of 93.9 W kg^(−1),and a long stable life@2A g^(−1)of 32000 cycles in aqueous solutions,solidly verifying its universal *** work not only demonstrates an innovative approach to synthesize high-performance metal ion hybrid capacitor materials but also reveals certain scientific insights into electron transfer enhancement mechanisms.

Sodium-ion batteries have emerged as competitive substitutes for low-temperature applications due to severe capacity loss and safety concerns of lithium-ion batteries at−20°C or ***,the key capability of ultrafast charging at ultralow temperature for SIBs is rarely ***,a hybrid of Bi nanoparticles embedded in carbon nanorods is demonstrated as an ideal material to address this issue,which is synthesized via a high temperature shock *** a hybrid shows an unprecedented rate performance(237.9 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1))at−60℃,outperforming all reported SIB anode *** with a Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode,the energy density of the full cell can reach to 181.9 Wh kg^(−1) at−40°*** on this work,a novel strategy of high-rate activation is proposed to enhance performances of Bi-based materials in cryogenic conditions by creating new active sites for interfacial reaction under large current.

AIM:To evaluate macular microvasculature changes in eyes after pars plana vitrectomy(PPV)and intraocular silicone oil(SO)tamponade for macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).METHODS:Totally 19 eyes(19 patients)with maculaoff RRD who underwent PPV and intraocular SO tamponade were retrospectively *** parafoveal superficial capillary plexus(SCP)vessel density(VD),deep capillary plexus(DCP)VD,choriocapillaris plexus(CCP)VD,and foveal macular thickness were evaluated using OCTA throughout 16 wk *** values of healthy fellow eyes were used as ***:The parafoveal SCP,DCP,and CCP VDs were significant increased over time in RRD eyes during the 12 wk postoperatively,then decreased at 16 wk postoperatively(all P0.05).CONCLUSION:The parafoveal SCP,DCP,and CCP VDs gradually recover over time after PPV surgery with SO ***-time SO tamponade might decrease postoperative macular *** to parafoveal CCP VD,the parafoveal SCP and DCP VDs were more vulnerable in RRD eyes postoperatively.

Therapeutic effect analysis on the treatment of congenital glaucoma through modified combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy

AIM： To evaluate the therapeutic effect and the safety of the treatment of congenital glaucoma through modified combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy. METHODS： The clinical data of 27 cases （altogether 42 eyes）, which included 7 cases of infants （10 eyes） and 20 cases of teenagers （32 eyes）, of congenital glaucoma undertook modified combined trabeculotomy trabeculectomy were analyzed retrospectively. The parameters evaluated included the post operation visual acuity, the anterior chamber, the filtering bleb, the intraocular pressure, the C/D ratio, visual field, the retinal nerve fiber layer changes and the complications. RESULTS： The follow-up period was 1 to 29mo, averaging 13.3 ±7.7mo. Upon the last visit after the operation, functional filtering blebs developed in all the involved eyes. The intraocular pressure was controlled under 21 mm Hg, which was decreased by 60% when compared with that before the operation, without using any medication. There were no significant changes in the post operation visual acuity and the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness before and after the operation in teenager group （P〉0.05）, and both the post operation C/D ratio and the visual field mean defect （MD） were reduced compared with those before the operation （P〈0.05）. There were no severe complications in any of the patients. CONCLUSION： The modified combined trabeculotomy- trabeculectomy can effectively reduce the intraocular pressure and control the development of glaucoma in cases of congenital glaucoma. It is a safe and effective operative method for the treatment of congenital glaucoma
