Flake channels construction of hydroxyapatite/gelatin cryogel with excellent flame retardant properties for enhancing the capturing of iodine

Safe and efficient capturing of volatile radioiodine is of extremely important significance in the treatment of spent ***,the flake channels in gelatin-hydroxyapatite（HAP@Ge） cryogel with excellent flame retardant properties were constructed by immobilizing hydroxyapatite nanorods（HAP） on Gelatin（Ge） cryogel for enhancing the capturing of *** immobilization of HAP nanorods enhanced thermal stability,provided low rates of dynamic heat transfer and dissipation,and remarkably improved the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of the Ge cryogel,which can effectively prevent the occurrence of safety incidents caused by further thermal degradation or combustion of this *** importantly,it was effective in improving the rapid enrichment of iodine,resulting in a high adsorption *** maximum adsorption capacity of HAP@Ge cryogel for iodine vapor reached2693 mg/g at *** high adsorption capacity for iodine was attributed to the multi-scale porous structure in HAP@Ge cryogel,which offered effective channels for iodine diffusion,whereas the numerous complex and irregular flakes provided sufficient number of active sites for iodine *** adsorption process was chemical in nature and involved the-PO43-,-OH,-C=O,and-NHR groups on HAP@Ge ***,the complex porous structure of HAP@Ge cryogel enhanced the physical capturing of *** advantages,such as low-cost raw material,simple preparation method,good flame retardancy,and excellent capturing performance for iodine indicated that HAP@Ge cryogel is a potential candidate for the removal of radioactive iodine in the exhaust gas stream of post-treatment plants.

The similar densities of dark matter and baryons in the universe imply that they may arise from the same ultraviolet model.B-Mesogenesis,which assumes dark matter is charged under the baryon number,attempts to simultaneously explain the origin of baryon asymmetry and dark matter in the *** particular,B-Mesogenesis may induce bottom-baryon decays into invisible or semi-invisible final states,which provide a distinctive signal for probing this *** this work,we systematically study the invisible decays of bottom baryons into dark matter and the semi-invisible decays of bottom baryons into a meson or a photon together with a dark matter *** particular,the fully invisible decay can reveal the stable particles in *** QCD-based frameworks are used to calculate the hadronic matrix elements under the B-Mesogenesis *** estimate the constraints on the Wilson coefficients or the product of some new physics couplings with the Wilson coefficients according to the semi-invisible and invisible decays of bottom baryons detectable at future colliders.

This paper presents a new machine learning-based calibration framework for strength simulation models of self-piercing riveted(SPR)*** simulations were conducted through the integrated modeling of SPR joints from process to performance,while physical quasi-static tensile tests were performed on combinations of DP600 high-strength steel and 5754 aluminum alloy sheets under lap-shear loading conditions.A sensitivity study of the critical simulation parameters(e.g.,friction coefficient and scaling factor)was conducted using the controlled variables method and Sobol sensitivity analysis for feature ***,machine-learning-based surrogate models were used to train and accurately represent the mapping between the detailed joint profile and its load-displacement *** of the simulation model is defined as a dual-objective optimization task to minimize errors in key load displacement features between simulations and experiments.A multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)was chosen for *** three combinations of SPR joints illustrated the effectiveness of the proposed framework,and good agreement was achieved between the calibrated models and experiments.

Small mutations in the core promoter region of a gene may result in substantial changes in expression ***,targeting TA-rich sequences of core promoters may pose a challenge for Cas9 variants such as SpCas9 and other G-rich PAM-compatible *** this study,we engineered a unique FrCas9 system derived from Faecalibaculum rodentium for plant genome *** findings indicate that this system is efficient in rice when the TATA sequence is used as a *** addition,FrCas9 demonstrated activity against all 16 possible NNTA PAMs,achieving an efficiency of up to 35.3%in calli and generating homozygous or biallelic mutations in 31.3%of the T_(0)transgenic plants.A proof-ofconcept experiment to examine editing of the rice WX core promoter confirmed that FrCas9-induced mutations could modify gene expression and amylose *** mutations and deletions were produced by bidirectional editing,mediated by FrCas9,using a single palindromic TATA sequence as a ***,we developed FrCas9-derived base editors capable of programmable conversion between AT and GC pairs in *** study highlights a versatile FrCas9 toolset for plant core promoter editing,offering great potential for the fine-tuning of gene expression and creating of new germplasms.

Aminoglycosides(AGs)are a class of antibiotics with a broad spectrum of ***,their use is limited by safety concerns associated with nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity,as well as drug *** address these issues,semi-synthetic approaches for modifying natural AGs have generated new generations of AGs,however,with limited types of modification due to significant challenges in *** study explores a novel approach that harness the bacterial biosynthetic machinery of gentamicins and kanamycins to create hybrid *** was achieved by glycodiversification of gentamicins via swapping the glycosyltransferase(GT)in their producer with the GT from kanamycins biosynthetic pathway and resulted in the creation of a series of novel AGs,therefore referred to as genkamicins(GKs).The manipulation of the hybrid biosynthetic pathway enabled the targeted accumulation of different GK species and the isolation and characterization of six GK *** compounds display retained antimicrobial activity against a panel of World Health Organization(WHO)critical priority pathogens,and GK-C2a,in particular,demonstrates low ototoxicity compared to clinical drugs in zebrafish *** study provides a new strategy for diversifying the structure of AGs and a potential avenue for developing less toxic AG drugs to combat infectious diseases.

Effect of Tanshinone IIA on High Glucose-induced Apoptosis and Oxidative Stress Damage in Vascular Endothelial Cells

Objective:The primary cause of microvascular disease in diabetic complications is long-term hyperglycemia,wherein the damage and apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells play a significant *** tanshinone IIA sulfonate(STS)has been found to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular *** study aimed to investigate the impact of STS on high glucose-induced apoptosis and oxidative stress damage in vascular endothelial cells,as well as its potential protective ***:Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)were divided into five groups:low-glucose group,high-glucose group,and three STS groups(STS-a,STS-b,and STS-c).The low-glucose group was incubated with DMEM low-sugar medium containing 5.5 mmol·L-1glucose,while the high-glucose group was treated with 33.3mmol·*** STS groups were exposed to 10,30,and 50μg·m L-1of STS,*** group was cultured for 72 h,and the MTT method was utilized to assess cell ***,flow cytometry was employed to monitor changes in cell apoptosis and cellular oxidative stress indicators at 24,48,and 72 h of cell culture in each ***:As time went on,the cell proliferation ability and apoptosis rate of each group gradually *** high-glucose group exhibited lower proliferation ability compared to the other *** STS-c group demonstrated the highest OD value for proliferation ability(24 h:1.19±0.12;48 h:1.20±0.13;72 h:1.25±0.12),but it was still lower than that of the low-sugar ***,the high-glucose group had the highest cell apoptosis rate,while the low-glucose group had the *** apoptosis rate of the STS-c group(24 h:8.02±0.13;48 h:10.10±0.12;72 h:13.18±0.11)%was between that of the low-glucose group and the high-glucose group,and lower than the STS-a and STS-b ***,the high-glucose group exhibited the highest malondialdehyde and nitric oxide synthase activities,as well as superoxide dismutase activity and nitric oxide levels,

Contamination assessment,source apportionment and associated health risks of PTEs in agricultural soil under five land-use patterns in Sanya,China

To understand the levels of potentially toxic elements(PTEs)contamination in soils and their effects on human health from different agricultural land use in Sanya,China.128 soil samples(64 topsoil samples and corresponding subsoil samples)were collected from the five representative land-use *** coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS),Atomic fluorescence spectrometry(AFS),and Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES)were used to determine the content of PTEs(As,Cd,Hg,Cu,Cr,Ni,Pb,Zn,Co,Mo,Sb,and V).Correlation analysis and factor analysis were used to determine the source of ***-accumulation index(I_(geo)),hazard quotient(HQ),and total carcinogenic risk index(TR)were used to measure the PTEs contamination and its relative health *** showed that the average values of 12 PTEs in topsoil were higher than the Hainan soil geochemical baseline,showing different degrees of PTEs accumulation *** concentration of PTEs in the topsoil was lower than those in the subsoil except for Cd and *** I_(geo)revealed that the major accumulated element in soils was As followed by *** apportionment suggested that parent materials and agricultural practices were the dominant factors for PTEs accumulation in the *** risks of soil samples from five land-use patterns presented a trend of paddy field>dry field>woodland>orchard>garden ***,the HQ values of 12 PTEs were less than the recommended limit of HQ=1,representing that there are no non-carcinogenic risks of PTEs for children and adults in the study *** TR values are within 6.95×10^(-6)-1.38×10^(-5),which corresponds to the low *** the PTEs in the agricultural soil of the study area show little influence on the health status of the local population.

Controlling collective electronic states hold great promise for development of innovative devices. Here, we experimentally detect the modification of the charge density wave(CDW) phase transition within a 1T-TaS_(2) layer in a WS_(2)/1T-TaS_(2) heterostructure using time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopy. Laser-induced charge transfer doping strongly suppresses the commensurate CDW phase, which results in a significant decrease in both the phase transition temperature(T_(c)) and phase transition stiffness. We interpret the phenomenon that photoinduced hole doping, when surpassing a critical threshold value of ~ 10^(18)cm^(-3), sharply decreases the phase transition energy barrier. Our results provide new insights into controlling the CDW phase transition, paving the way for optical-controlled novel devices based on CDW materials.
