Partial shading conditions(PSCs)caused by uneven illumination become one of the most common problems in photovoltaic(PV)systems,which can make the PV power-voltage(P-V)characteristics curve show *** maximum power point tracking(MPPT)methods have shortcomings in tracking to the global maximum power point(GMPP),resulting in a dramatic decrease in output *** order to solve the above problems,intelligent algorithms are used in ***,the existing intelligent algorithms have some disadvantages,such as slow convergence speed and large search ***,an improved whale algorithm(IWOA)combined with the P&O(IWOA-P&O)is proposed for the MPPT of PV power generation in this ***,IWOA is used to track the range interval of the GMPP,and then P&O is used to accurately find the MPP in that *** with other algorithms,simulation results show that this method has an average tracking efficiency of 99.79%and an average tracking time of 0.16 s when tracking ***,experimental verification is conducted,and the results show that the proposed algorithm has better MPPT performance compared to popular particle swarm optimization(PSO)and PSO-P&O algorithms.

With a further increase in energy flexibility for customers,short-term load forecasting is essential to provide benchmarks for economic dispatch and real-time alerts in power *** electrical load series exhibit periodic patterns and share high associations with metrological ***,current studies have merely focused on point-wise models and failed to sufficiently investigate the periodic patterns of load series,which hinders the further improvement of short-term load forecasting ***,this paper improved Autoformer to extract the periodic patterns of load series and learn a representative feature from deep decomposition and *** addition,a novel multi-factor attention mechanism was proposed to handle multi-source metrological and numerical weather prediction data and thus correct the forecasted electrical *** paper also compared the proposed model with various competitive *** the experimental results reveal,the proposed model outperforms the benchmark models and maintains stability on various types of load consumers.

Different Ca-based layered double oxides（LDO） were applied in the removal of contaminants in used lubricating oil as an alternative decolorant. CaAl-LDO and CaFeAl-LDO achieved much greater decoloration efficiency than the traditional decolorants, where 0.93 and 0.91 of the decoloration efficiency under the optimum conditions were obtained, respectively. The decoloration activity with CaFeAl-LDO > CaAl-LDO >> CaFe-LDO was revealed by both Density Functional Theory（DFT） calculations and experimental analysis. Ca12Al14O33was shown to be the active component for decoloration. Fe3+doped into CaAl-LDO could improve decoloration activity via a changed charge distribution of decolorant. High preferential adsorption activity, which originated from different charge distribution for contaminants instead of the oil components, contributed to outstanding decoloration performance. The activity depended on the adsorption intensity of contaminants, where the most of the active decolorant neither too strongly or weakly bound with the contaminants. The results of this study suggested the Cabased LDOs could be a potentially alternative decolorants for regenerating the used lubricating oil.

A reverse particle grading strategy for design and fabrication of porous SiC ceramic supports with improved strength

Porous ceramics usually require high mechanical strength and maximized porosity simultaneously,while for conventional particle grading strategies,it is highly challenging to meet both *** this end,a reverse particle grading strategy was developed based on the linear packing model by unusually introducing coarse particles(d50=16μm)into a fine particle(d50=5μm)*** the extrusion and sintering process,tubular porous SiC ceramic supports with improved mechanical strength were successfully *** effects of coarse particles on the rheological properties of the ceramic paste and the macroscopic properties and microstructure of the SiC supports were systematically *** an increase in the content of coarse SiC particles to 30 wt%,the pressure generated during extrusion decreased from 5.5±0.2 to 1.3±0.1 ***,the bending strength of the tubular supports increased from 36.6±5.6 to 49.1±4.5 MPa when 20 wt%coarse powder was *** notably improved mechanical strength was attributed to the distribution of coarse particles that prolonged the route of crack ***,the optimized tubular supports had an average pore size of 1.2±0.1μm,an open porosity of 45.1%±1.6%,and a water permeability of 7163±150 L/(m2·h·bar)as well as good alkali and acid corrosion ***,the strategy was proven to be feasible for the scale-up fabrication of 19-channel SiC tubular porous ceramic supports.

Submerged entry nozzle(SEN)clogging is a major problem affecting the production quality of rare earth steel,and finding a suitable refractory outlet can significantly reduce production *** explore the relationship between refractory composition and interface interaction,unprotected coated Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO refractories and SiO2-coated Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO refractories were added to rare earth high-carbon heavy rail steel under laboratory conditions,and the Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO refractory was found to be more *** results show that,from the epoxy resin side to the refractory side,the contour of the refractory interface reaction layer can be divided into two main layers:an iron-rich reaction layer and an iron-poor reaction *** based on the spherical model suggest that the adhesion force is proportional to the size of the refractory particles and inclusions,and the same result applies to the surface *** the inclusions at a smaller size has a specific effect on alleviating the erosion of *** with the erosion mechanism of Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO refractories,the interface reaction mechanism between Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO refractories and molten steel was proposed,which provides ideas for solving SEN clogging.

Capacitive mixing is a promising blue energy technology due to its membrane-free electricity generation and long electrode life ***,because of limited performance,existing systems do not lend themselves to practical *** it is a crucial factor directly influencing electrode behavior,surface chemistry has largely been overlooked in capacitive ***,we show that manipulating surface functionalization alone can tune the responses of electrodes to produce a high voltage rise without altering the pore structure of the *** findings reveal that the spontaneous electrode potential of a surface-modified carbon electrode shifts negatively proportional to the surface charge due to the surface groups,which explains why and how manipulating the surface chemistry can improve the power generation capacity.

This paper deals with Wiener model based predictive control of a pH neutralization *** dynamic linear block of the Wiener model is parameterized using Laguerre filters while the nonlinear block is constructed using least squares support vector machines (LSSVM).Input-output data from the first principle model of the pH neutralization process are used for the Wiener model *** results show that the proposed Wiener model has higher prediction accuracy than Laguerre-support vector regression (SVR) Wiener models,Laguerre-polynomial Wiener models,and linear Laguerre *** identified Wiener model is used here for nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) of the pH neutralization *** set-point tracking performance of the proposed NMPC is compared with those of the Laguerre-SVR Wiener model based NMPC,Laguerre-polynomial Wiener model based NMPC,and linear model predictive control (LMPC).Validation results show that the proposed NMPC outperforms the other three controllers.

Precise fault location plays an important role in the reliability of modern power *** the in-creasing penetration of renewable energy sources,the power system experiences a decrease in system inertia and alterations in steady-state characteristics following a fault *** existing single-ended phasor domain methods assume a certain impedance of the remote-end system or consistent current phases at both *** problems present challenges to the applicability of con-ventional phasor-domain location *** paper presents a novel single-ended time domain fault location method for single-phase-to-ground faults,one which fully considers the distributed parameters of the line *** fitting of transient signals in the time domain is real-ized to extract the instantaneous amplitude and ***,to eliminate the error caused by assumptions of lumped series resistance in the Bergeron model,an im-proved numerical derivation is presented for the distrib-uted parameter line *** instantaneous symmet-rical components are extracted for decoupling and inverse transformation of three-phase recording *** on the above,the equation of instantaneous phase constraint is established to effectively identify the fault *** proposed location method reduces the negative effects of fault resistance and the uncertainty of remote end pa-rameters when relying on one-terminal data for ***,the proposed fault analysis methods have the ability to adapt to transient processes in power *** comparisons with existing methods in three different systems,the fault position is correctly identified within an error of 1%.Also,the results are not affected by sampling rates,data windows,fault inception angles,and load conditions.
