Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries(PLIBs),while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active *** work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic *** employed in PLIBs,it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging ***,experimental photon spectroscopy,finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO_(2),as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky *** from these merits,several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set,including the capacity of 276 mAh g^(−1)at 0.2 A g^(−1)under illumination,photoconversion efficiency of 1.276%at 3 A g^(−1),less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 *** results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.

In order to calculate the electronic structure of correlated materials, we propose implementation of the LDA＋Gutzwiller method with Newton＇s method. The self-consistence process, efficiency and convergence of calculation are improved dramatically by using Newton＇s method with golden section search and other improvement *** compare the calculated results by applying the previous linear mix method and Newton＇s method. We have applied our code to study the electronic structure of several typical strong correlated materials, including SrVO3, LaCoO3, and La2O3Fe2Se2. Our results fit quite well with the previous studies.

The parametric study of the indoor environment of green buildings focuses on the quantitative and qualitative improvement of residential building construction in China and the achievement of indoor thermal comfort at a low leve（ of energy use. This study examines the effect of the adaptive thermal comfort of indoor environment control in hot summer and cold winter （HSCW） zones. This work is based on a field study of the regional thermal assessment of two typical cases, the results of which are compared with simulated results of various scenarios of ＂energy efficiency＂ strategy and ＂healthy housing＂ environmental control. First, the simulated results show that the adaptive thermal comfort of indoor environment control is actuaUy balanced in terms of occupancy, comfort, and energy efficiency. Second, adaptive thermal comfort control can save more energy for heating or cooling than other current healthy housing environmental controls in China＇s HSCW zone. Moreover, a large proportion of energy use is based on the subjective thermal comfort demand of occupants in any building type. Third, the building shape coefficient cannot dominate energy savings. The ratio of the superficial area of a bui[ding to the actual indoor floor area has a significant positive correlation with and affects the efficiency of buiidin~ thermal performance.

Construction of a Food-Grade Expression Vector Based on pMG36e by Using an α-Galactosidase Gene as a Selectable Marker

Construction of a food-grade expression vector for application to lactic acid bacteria（LAB） is of importance for dairy fermentation system. An α-galactosidase（aga） gene encoding an enzyme degrading melibiose was amplified by PCR from the plasmid p RAF800 of Lactococcus lactis NZ9000. The aga gene was introduced into pMG36 e to substitute the p rimary antibiotic selectable marker of pMG36 e, resulting in construction of a new food-grade expression vector pMG36-aga. To testify the expression efficiency of exogenous gene in pMG36-aga, a 1.5 kb long α-amylase（amy） gene from Ba cillus li cheniformis was cloned by PCR and introduced into the plasmid pMG36-aga. The resultant plasimd pMG36-aga-amy was transformed into L. lactis ML23 by electroporation. The positive clones were selected with the medium containing melibiose as the sole carbon source. Th e selection efficiency of aga was 8.71×103 CFU with a standard deviation of 9.1×102 CFU ？g-1 DNA of pMG36-aga. Furthermore, the SDS-PAGE analysis showed that the pMG36-aga-amy expressed a 56.4 kDa protein which was the same as the putati ve molecular weight of α-amylase. The starch plate assay also indicated that L. lactis ML23 displayed high activity of α-amylase by expressing of amy gene of pMG36-aga-amy.

Better Choice:Linear Long Chains Rather than Branched Ones to Improve Mechanical Performance of Polyethylene through Generating Shish-Kebabs

We utilized two structurally different long chains(linear and branched ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene)to reveal the dependence of flow-induced crystallization on long chain architecture,and prepared two bi-disperse systems of 98 wt%short chain and 2 wt%long chain.A flow field was applied to the bi-disperse polyethylene melt by a modified injection-molding machine,known as oscillation shear injection molding(OSIM).For the first time,the structural influence of long chains on flow-induced shish-kebab formation was systematically *** the intermediate layer of OSIM samples,the branched long chains were better than the linear long chains at inducing shish-kebab formation,agreeing with the reported literatures,because the branches can maintain their oriented conformations *** unexpectedly,the reverse is the case for the core layer of OSIM samples,where the shear flow was much weaker than the intermediate *** understand the unexpected phenomenon,the lifetime of shishes induced by different long chains was *** demonstrated that the linear-induced shishes possessed higher thermal stability than the branched-induced ones so that the linear-induced shishes could survive in the core layer of OSIM ***,unlike other methods for flow-induced crystallization,OSIM could create samples for measuring mechanical properties,and thus offer the chance to reveal the relationship between structure and *** mechanical results demonstrated that both long chains remarkably enhanced the mechanical properties because of the significant promoting effect of long chains and intense flow fields on shish-kebab ***,the linear long chains induced more stable and flawless shishes with higher tensile strength and modulus(80.4 and 1613.5 Mpa,respectively)than the branched ones(74.4 and 1489.3 Mpa).Our research not only helps elucidate the mechanism of shish-kebab formation but also provides a better choice to reinforce

Functionalized poly（phthalazinone ether sulfone ketone） was synthesized by successive chloromethylation and azidation, followed by curing reaction with the propargyl end-groups of various molecular weight crosslinking agents in the presence of Cu（I） catalyst via the azide-alkyne click reaction. The influences of the chain length of crosslinking agents on the poly（phthalazinone ether sulfone ketone） system were studied. FTIR and DSC tests demonstrated certain crosslinking by azide-alkyne reaction with the formation of triazole ring. DSC results showed that curing temperature shifted to lower temperatures considerably in the presence of Cu（I） catalyst. TGA showed cured polymers were of much higher thermal stability, including higher thermal decomposition temperatures and higher char-yielding properties. After being cured, the polymers became insoluble in organic solvents and the gel fraction of the cured polymers exceeded 71%. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction results indicated there was a short distance order in the poly（ether sulfone）（PES） main chain except for the azido methyl poly（phthalazinone ether sulfone ketone） and 4,4＇-bis（2-propynyloxy） biphenyl （AMPPESK-BP） system.

Reduction of Carbon-bearing Pellets of Oolitic Hematite in a Shaft Furnace

When carbon-bearing pellets of oolitic hematite are treated in a shaft furnace,some problems are typically encountered：the metallization ratio of the metal pellets is low;the carbon-bearing pellets bond with each other at high temperatures;and the separation of phosphorus from iron is *** solve these problems,experiments were conducted on oolitic hematite reduction in a resistance furnace and semi-industrial test shaft *** results showed that the metallization rate reached 90% or greater under the conditions of a reduction temperature of 1 150℃,an atmosphere of simulated flue gas,and a reduction time between 1.5and *** problem of high-temperature bonding among pellets can be solved by increasing the strength of the pellets,coating their surface with a surface transfer agent and maintaining an even temperature inside the shaft *** basicity of the ore blend exerted no obvious effect on the magnetic concentrate and phosphorus *** phosphorus content in the magnetic concentrate can be further reduced by improving the grinding capacity of the ball mills used in the *** the basis of the experimental results related to oolitic hematite reduction with carbon-bearing pellets in a shaft furnace,the experimental requirements were satisfied with an average 88.27%total Fe content and 0.581% P content in the pellets.

A novel alkoxysilyl-functionalized poly(phthalazinone ether ketone) (PPEK) was prepared for the boundary lubricant application in micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS). The synthesis of functionalized PPEK was started from the hydroxylation of PPEK, then following with the corresponding ring-opening reaction of 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS). The structures of the functional PPEK were confirmed by FTIR, 1H NMR, 29Si NMR, and UV–vis spectrum.
