Laminar Flame Structure-Dependent Exergy Destruction Behavior at Auto-Ignition Time Scale:A Case Study of Dimethyl Ether(DME)

Hybrid deflagration/auto-ignition flame structures coexist in the combustion of advanced *** exergy destruction caused by different irreversible processes under varied flame regimes is thus important for understanding engine *** this study,the flame propagation modes for the premixed DME/air mixtures are numerically investigated under engine-relevant *** entropy generation and exergy destruction characteristics are compared under different flame *** reveal that as the typical premixed flame transition towards auto-ignition front,the exergy destruction from heat conduction and species mass diffusion gradually vanish and are dominated by chemical *** distributions of temperature and species mole fraction in the flame domain are analyzed to clarify the exergy destruction behaviors caused by heat conduction and mass ***,by dividing the DME oxidation process into four stages,the main reaction channels that contribute to the increase in exergy destruction from chemical reaction have been *** is found that the production and consumption of CH_(2)O and HO_(2) radical dominate the exergy destruction behavior during DME *** this basis,the kinetic mechanism of low-temperature chemistry causing greater exergy destruction is ***,low-temperature chemistry leads to significant exergy destruction due to(a)the large irreversibility of itself and(b)(mainly)the enhancement of H_(2)O_(2)loop reactions by low-temperature reaction *** the reduction of combustion irreversibility is promising to be achieved by reasonably regulating the fuel oxidation path.

An intelligent control method based on artificial neural network for numerical flight simulation of the basic finner projectile with pitching maneuver

In this paper,an intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is *** proposed algorithm is verified and evaluated by combining with the case of the basic finner projectile model and shows a good application ***,a numerical virtual flight simulation model based on overlapping dynamic mesh technology is *** order to verify the accuracy of the dynamic grid technology and the calculation of unsteady flow,a numerical simulation of the basic finner projectile without control is carried *** simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment data which shows that the algorithm used in this paper can also be used in the design and evaluation of the intelligent controller in the numerical virtual flight ***,combined with the real-time control requirements of aerodynamic,attitude and displacement parameters of the projectile during the flight process,the numerical simulations of the basic finner projectile’s pitch channel are carried out under the traditional PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative)control strategy and the intelligent PID control strategy *** intelligent PID controller based on BP(Back Propagation)neural network can realize online learning and self-optimization of control parameters according to the acquired real-time flight *** with the traditional PID controller,the concerned control variable overshoot,rise time,transition time and steady state error and other performance indicators have been greatly improved,and the higher the learning efficiency or the inertia coefficient,the faster the system,the larger the overshoot,and the smaller the stability *** intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is capable of solving the complicated unsteady motion and flow with the intelligent PID control strategy and has a strong promotion to engineering application.

Pedestrian wind flow prediction using spatial-frequency generative adversarial network

Pedestrian wind flow is a critical factor in designing livable residential environments under growing complex urban *** pedestrian wind flow during the early design stages is essential but currently suffers from inefficiencies in numerical *** learning,particularly generative adversarial networks(GAN),has been increasingly adopted as an alternative method to provide efficient prediction of pedestrian wind ***,existing GAN-based wind flow prediction schemes have limitations due to the lack of considering the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow *** study proposes a novel approach termed SFGAN,which embeds spatial and frequency characteristics to enhance pedestrian wind flow *** the spatial domain,Gaussian blur is employed to decompose wind flow into components containing wind speed and distinguished flow edges,which are used as the embedded spatial *** information of wind flow is obtained through discrete wavelet transformation and used as the embedded frequency *** spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow are jointly utilized to enforce consistency between the predicted wind flow and ground truth during the training phase,thereby leading to enhanced *** results demonstrate that SFGAN clearly improves wind flow prediction,reducing Wind_MAE,Wind_RMSE and the Fréchet Inception Distance(FID)score by 5.35%,6.52%and 12.30%,compared to the previous best method,*** also analyze the effectiveness of incorporating the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow in predicting pedestrian wind *** reduces errors in predicting wind flow at large error intervals and performs well in wake regions and regions surrounding *** enhanced predictions provide a better understanding of performance variability,bringing insights at the early design stage to improve pedestrian wind *** proposed spatial-frequen

Co_(3)O_(4)as an efficient passive NO_(x) adsorber for emission control during cold-start of diesel engines

The Co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles,dominated by a catalytically active(110)lattice plane,were synthesized as a low-temperature NO_(x) adsorbent to control the cold start emissions from *** nanoparticles boast a substantial quantity of active chemisorbed oxygen and lattice oxygen,which exhibited a NO_(x) uptake capacity commensurate with Pd/SSZ-13 at 100℃.The primary NO_(x) release temperature falls within a temperature range of 200-350℃,making it perfectly suitable for diesel *** characterization results demonstrate that chemisorbed oxygen facilitate nitro/nitrites intermediates formation,contributing to the NO_(x) storage at 100℃,while the nitrites begin to decompose within the 150-200℃***,lattice oxygen likely becomes involved in the activation of nitrites into more stable nitrate within this particular temperature *** concurrent processes of nitrites decomposition and its conversion to nitrates results in a minimal NO_(x) release between the temperatures of 150-200℃.The nitrate formed via lattice oxygen mainly induces the NO_(x) to be released as NO_(2) within a temperature range of 200-350℃,which is advantageous in enhancing the NO_(x) activity of downstream NH_(3)-SCR catalysts,by boosting the fast SCR reaction *** to its low cost,considerable NO_(x) absorption capacity,and optimal release temperature,Co_(3)O_(4)demonstrates potential as an effective material for passive NO_(x) adsorber applications.

Improving benzene catalytic oxidation on Ag/Co_(3)O_(4) by regulating the chemical states of Co and Ag

Silver(9 wt.%)was loaded on Co_(3)O_(4)-nanofiber using reduction and impregnation methods,*** to the stronger electronegativity of silver,the ratios of surface Co^(3+)/Co^(2+) on Ag/Co_(3)O_(4) were higher than on Co_(3)O_(4),which further led to more adsorbed oxygen species as a result of the charge ***,the introducing of silver also obviously improved the reducibility of Co_(3)O_(4).Hence the Ag/Co_(3)O_(4) showed better catalytic performance than Co_(3)O_(4) in benzene *** with the Ag/Co_(3)O_(4) synthesized via impregnation method,the one prepared using reduction method(named as Ag Co-R)exhibited higher contents of surface Co^(3+) and adsorbed oxygen species,stronger reducibility,as well as more active surface lattice oxygen ***,Ag Co-R showed lowest T_(90) value of 183℃,admirable catalytic stability,largest normalized reaction rate of1.36×10^(-4)mol/(h·m^(2))(150℃),and lowest apparent activation energy(E_(a))of 63.2 kJ/*** analyzing of in-situ DRIFTS indicated benzene molecules were successively oxidized to phenol,o-benzoquinone,small molecular intermediates,and finally to CO_(2) and water on the surface of Ag *** last,potential reaction pathways including five detailed steps were proposed.

As an energy-free cooling technique,radiative cooling has garnered significant attention in the field of energy ***,traditional radiative cooling films often possess static optical properties and their inherent opacity limits their applications in building such as ***,there exists a requirement for passive radiative cooling films endowed with adjustable *** we report the porous block copolymer films with self-adjustable optical transmittance and passive radiative *** a result,the film exhibited a high solar reflectance(0.3-2.5μm)of 96.9%and a high infrared emittance(8-13μm)of 97.9%.Outdoor experiments demonstrated that the film surface temperature was 6.6℃lower than ambient temperature,with a cooling power of 104.8 W·m^(-2).In addition,the film’s transmittance can be regulated by altering the polarity of the post-processing solvent,providing an effective approach for regulating indoor light intensity and thermal balance,thereby enhancing the applicability of radiative cooling.

Development of a novel staging classification for Siewert Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction after neoadjuvant chemotherapy

BACKGROUND Stage classification for Siewert Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG)treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)has not been *** To investigate the optimal stage classification for Siewert Ⅱ AEG with *** A nomogram was established based on Cox regression model that analyzed variables associated with overall survival(OS)and disease-specific survival(DSS).The nomogram performance in terms of discrimination and calibration ability was evaluated using the likelihood-ratio test,Akaike information criterion,Harrell concordance index,time-receiver operating characteristic curve,and decision curve *** Data from 725 patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG who underwent neoadjuvant therapy and gastrectomy were obtained from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results *** and multivariate analyses revealed that sex,marital status,race,ypT stage,and ypN stage were independent prognostic factors of OS,whereas sex,race,ypT stage,and ypN stage were independent prognostic factors for *** factors were incorporated into the OS and DSS *** novel nomogram model performed better in terms of OS and DSS prediction compared to the 8th American Joint Committee of Cancer pathological staging system for esophageal and gastric ***,a user-friendly web application was developed for clinical *** The nomogram established specifically for patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG receiving NAC demonstrated good prognostic *** using external data is warranted before its widespread clinical application.

Water modeling on fluid flow and mixing phenomena in a BOF steelmaking converter

A 1∶8 physical water model was constructed to investigate the fluid flow and mixing phenomena in the basic oxygen furnace(BOF)*** particle image velocimetry was employed to measure the velocity distribution of the bath and the high-speed camera was applied to capture the cavity shape in the combined blowing BOF *** mixing time for varied operating conditions was measured by the stimulus-response *** cavity depth increased with the decrease in the lance height and the increase in the top gas flow rate while the bottom blowing gas had little influence on the cavity *** minimum cavity depth was obtained under the condition of a 69.8 m^(3)/h top gas flow rate,a 287.5 mm lance height and a 0.93 m^(3)/h bottom blowing gas flow rate,which was 161.2 *** mixing time decreased as the lance height decreased and the top blowing gas flow rate *** mixing time was first decreased and then increased with the increase in the bottom gas flow *** the condition of 69.8 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of top blowing,the 287.5 mm lance height and the 0.93 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of bottom blowing,the mixing time in the converter was 48.65 *** empirical formula between the stirring power and the mixing time in the converter was calculated.

Provably secure attribute-based authenticated encryption with keyword search from ideal lattices
