The dynamic impedance function of pile in visco-elastie material considering axial loads under lateral dynamic force was analyzed, and the beam dynamic differential equation was used to induce the dynamic impedance function. After analyzing the edge conditions, the dynamic impedance functions were deduced. Contrasted with the result that does not consider axial loads, the axial loads have obvious influence on the dynamic impedance *** the results show that the dimensionless prarmeter of the dynamic impedance will change from 6 % to 9 % when considering axial loads, and dimensionless prarmeter of the dynamic impedance of the coupling horizontal-sway will increase by 31 %.

Because the lack of detailed study of biological decolorization in high salt dye wastewater, it is still difficult to evaluate the biological treatment on high-salinity dye wastewater. The experiments were carried out to study the salt-tolerant bacteria, which is useful in the treatment of high-salinity colored wastewater. Simulated wastewater containing 5-150 g/L salt （NaCI） and 50-2000 mg/L Reactive Brilliant Red K-2BP was treated with three salt-tolerant mixed cultures （CAS, TAS, DSAS）, which were under a gradually acclimated procedure. With the increase of concentrations of salt and dye, the decolorization became low. The abilities of decolorization of dyes wastewater by three mixed cultures （CAS, TAS, DSAS） were studied, CAS and DSAS mixed cultures showed more active for the treatment of high-salinity colored wastewater than TAS mixed cultures. The results suggested that there might be a simple process for the high salt wastewater treatment, which could be incorporated into conventional activated sludge plants.

The robust stabilization problem for a family of nonlinear plants with mismatch uncertainties is addressed, and a solution is presented based on variable structure control theory and H∞ control theory. A kind of boundary layer is built near the ideal switch surface which can eliminate chattering in the switch surface. The proposed control method with L2 gain can guarantee exponential stability of a system state with no parameter uncertainty and exter- nal disturbance, while it can guarantee state ultimate boundness if parameter uncertainty and external disturbance exist. In the proposed design method, stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed by adopting the Lyapurtov func- tion approach. Finally the numerical simulation results show that the proposed smooth variable structure controller has good pelformance without chattering in the switch surface.

AIM To study the tumorigenicity of colorectal cancer cells transfected with B7 gene and the anti-tumor immunity induced by B7 gene modified colorectal cancer *** B7 gene was transfected into mouse colon cancer cell line CMT93. The transfectants were selected in DMEM containing 800 mg/ L G418, and B7 molecules were detected by immunohistochemistry. Experiments in vivo include: ① 5×106 B7+ CMT93 cells were inoculated into the back of C57BL/ 6 mice subcutaneously to determine their tumorigenicity (n=4). As control, wild type CMT93 cells were inoculated the same as the experimental group (n=3). ② The mice primed by B7+ CMT93 cells whose tumors vanished were rechallenged with wild type CMT93 to observe the immune protection of these mice against the wild type CMT93 (n=4). Non-primed 4 native mice inoculated with wild type CMT93 were used as control. With in vitro cytotoxicity assay, the mice were immunized with B7+ CMT93 or the wild type CMT93 by intraperitoneal injection (n=4×2). The spleen cells and the abdominal cavity infiltrating lymphocytes were obtained and cultured for two days. Cytotoxicity of these cells against the B7 gene modified or wild type CMT93 was detected by MTT *** B7 high expression clones were obtained after the transfection of the B7 gene into CMT93 cells by electroporation. Immunohistochemistry results showed mainly membrance staining and partly cytoplasm staining in B7 gene transfected CMT93 cells. In vivo experiments: ① After the inoculation of the B7+ CMT93 cells into the back of C57BL/ 6 mice, they lost their tumorigenicity greatly (P＜0.01). All the small tumors growing in the early period in the experimental group vanished in one month, and the tumors in control group grew progressively. ② No tumors were found in all 4 mice primed by B7+ CMT93 cells after they were rechallenged with wild type CMT93. Effects of hepatotrophic factors on the liver after portacaval shunt in rats with portal hypertension

Background Portacaval shunt （PCS） prevent hepatotrophic factors from flowing into the liver, but they enter directly the systemic circulation and worsen liver injury. This study was designed to investigate the effects of hepatotrophic factors through the portal vein on the liver in rats with portal hypertension after portacaval shunt. Methods Intrahepatic portal hypertension （IHPH） was induced by intragastric administration of carbon tetrachloride, and end-to-side PCS was performed. Eight normal rats served as controls, and eight rats with IHPH served as IHPH model （IHPH group）. Another 32 rats with IHPH-PCS were randomly subdivided into 4 groups： normal saline （NS） given to 8 rats, hepatocyte growth factor （HGF） 8, insulin （INS） 8, hepatocyte growth factor and insulin （HGF＋INS） 8. Hepatotrophic factors were infused into the portal vein through an intravenous catheter. Portal venous pressure （PVP） was measured. The levels of serum alanine aminotransferase （ALT） and aspartate aminotransferase （AST） were tested biochemically and those of hyaluronic acid （HA） and laminin （LN） were measured by radioimmunoassay. Hepatic fibrosis was assessed histologically and the expression of collagens type I and In were detected immunohistochemically. Ultrastructural change of hepatocytes and the number of mitochondria were observed under an electron microscope. The data were compared between groups and subgroups by Student-Newman-Keuls procedure with SPSS 10.0.Results PVP was significantly higher in the IHPH rats than in the control rats （P〈0.05）. The levels of serum ALT, AST, HA, and LN, hepatic fibrosis score, the amount of collagen deposition, collagens type I and III increased more significantly in the IHPH group than in the control rats （P〈0.05）. The number of mitochondria decreased more significantly in the IHPH rats than in the control rats （P〈0.05）.
