A scramjet combustor with double cavitybased flameholders was experimentally studied in a directconnected test bed with the inflow conditions of M = 2.64,Pt = 1.84 MPa,Tt = 1 300 *** ignition and selfsustained combustion with room temperature kerosene was achieved using pilot hydrogen,and kerosene was vertically injected into the combustor through 4×φ 0.5 mm holes mounted on the *** different equivalence ratios and different injection schemes with both tandem cavities and parallel cavities,flow fields were obtained and compared using a high speed camera and a Schlieren *** revealed that the combustor inside the flow field was greatly influenced by the cavity installation scheme,cavities in tandem easily to form a single side flame distribution,and cavities in parallel are more likely to form a joint flame,forming a choked combustion *** supersonic combustion flame was a kind of diffusion flame and there were two kinds of combustion *** the unchoked combustion mode,both subsonic and supersonic combustion regions *** in the choked mode,the combustion region was fully subsonic with strong shock propagating *** also showed that there was a balance point between the boundary separation and shock enhanced combustion,depending on the intensity of heat release.

Extensive investigations on the projection of heat waves(HWs)were conducted on the basis of coarse-resolution global climate models(GCMs).However,these investigations still fail to characterise the future changes in HWs regionally over *** dynamical downscaling with a horizontal resolution of 25 km×25 km was employed on the basis of GCM-HadCM3 to provide reliable projections on HWs over the Chinese mainland,and six statistical downscaling methods were used for bias correction under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 *** multi-method ensemble(MME)of the top three dynamical downscaling methods with good performance was used to project future *** showed that PRECIS primarily replicated the detailed spatiotemporal pattern of ***,PRECIS overestimated the HWs in the Northwest and Southeast and expanded the areas of HWs in the Northeast and *** statistical downscaling methods(quantile mapping,CDF-t and quantile delta mapping)demonstrated good performance in improving PRECIS simulation for reproducing *** contrast,parametric-based trend-preserving approaches such as scaled distribution mapping and ISI-MIP are outperformed by the three aforementioned methods in downscaling HWs,particularly in the high latitudes of *** on MME projections,at the end of the 21st century,the national average of the number of HW days each year,the length of the longest HW event in the year and the extreme maximum temperature in HW will increase by 3 times,1 time and 1.3℃,respectively,under the RCP4.5 scenario,whilst that under the RCP8.5 scenario will increase by 8 times,3 times and 3.7℃,respectively,relative to *** Northwest is regionally projected to suffer long and hot HWs,whilst the South and Southeast will experience frequent consecutive ***,HWs projected by the combined dynamical and statistical downscaling method are highly reliable in projecting HWs over China.

Objective To investigate the effect of multiple coatings of the one-step self-etching adhesive on immediate microtensile bond strength to primary *** Twelve caries-free human primary molars were randomly divided into 2 groups with 6 teeth *** group 1,each tooth was hemisected into two *** half was assigned to control subgroup 1,which was bonded with a single-step self-etching adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions;the other half was assigned to experimental subgroup 1 in which the adhesive was applied three times before light *** group 2,the teeth were also hemisected into two *** half was assigned to control subgroup 2,which was bonded with the single-step self-etching adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions;the other half was assigned to experimental subgroup 2 in which three layers of adhesive were applied with light curing each successive *** bond strength was immediately tested after specimen *** When the adhesive was applied three times before light curing,the bond strength of the experimental subgroup 1(n=33,57.49±11.61 MPa) was higher than that of the control subgroup 1(n=31,49.71±11.43 MPa,P0.05).Conclusion Multiple coatings of one-step self-etching adhesive can increase the immediate bond strength to primary dentin when using the technique of light-curing after applying three layers of adhesive.

It is important to identify atmospheric environmental drivers of childhood asthma because asthma is the most common chronic disease in children *** provided an overview of the impacts of exposure to atmospheric environmental factors(e.g.,meteorological factors and air pollutants)on childhood asthma,based on a series of studies with the cutting-edge environmental epidemiological methodology in Shanghai,***,we found that the prevalence of asthma among the children aged 3–7 years had increased by approximately 7 fold,from 2.1%in 1990 to 14.6%in *** meteorological factors(*** mean temperature,temperature difference,air pressure,air pressure difference,precipitation,relative humidity,sunshine and wind speed)and air pollutants(PM10,PM2.5,NO2,SO2 and O3)were significantly associated with childhood asthma(ptant roles than air pollutants in the occurrence of asthma *** also found that temperature variability was significantly associated with the elevated relative risk of daily outpatient visits for childhood asthma(p<0.05).Furthermore,we conducted a systematic review on climate change adaptation measures and childhood asthma and found that there were a number of adaptation measures proposed for childhood asthma in response to climate change,including vulnerability assessment,improving ventilation and heating,enhancing community education,developing forecast models,and early warning ***,the effectiveness of most adaptation measures,except for improving ventilation and heating in winter,have not been explored and *** asthma is sensitive to the variation of atmospheric environmental conditions,it is critical to develop and implement appropriate climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies as global heating becomes apparent.

In recent years,translational plasma medicine(TPM),as a novel application area of plasmas,has attracted much attention of experts from both academic and clinical ***-of-the-art of the lab-scale research and clinical trials of the cold atmospheric plasmas(CAPs)in the stomatology are reviewed in detail from the direct and indirect applications of the *** on the discussions concerning the relationship between the plasma stomatology and the plasma medicine,it is indicated that it would be an important reference for promoting the TPM starting from the fundamental and application studies in the field of dentistry,which is also one of the most three promising application fields of plasma medicine.

Background Asthma has been a global problem,especially in *** aim to evaluate the contemporary prevalence and influencing factors of asthma among children aged 3–7 years in Shanghai,*** A random sample of preschool children was included in this *** International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood questionnaire was adopted to assess the childhood *** logistic regression models were used to evaluate the associations between independent variables and childhood *** Of 6389 preschool children who were invited to take part in this study,6163(response rate:96.5%)completed the questionnaire and were included in the *** overall prevalence of asthma was 14.6%which increased more than six folds from 2.1%in *** male,younger age,preterm delivery,being born in spring or autumn,being delivered by elective cesarean section without indication,miscarriage,high socioeconomic status,having allergy history,and exposure to passive smoking,latex paint,and dust were potential risk factors for childhood *** more time outdoors(>30 min/day),having indoor plants,and cleaning rooms more frequently were potential protective *** The prevalence of childhood asthma in Shanghai has increased dramatically during the past three *** findings about risk and protective factors of childhood asthma could be used to develop appropriate strategies to prevent and control childhood asthma in Shanghai and in other similar metropolitan cities.

Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries(PLIBs),while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active *** work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic *** employed in PLIBs,it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging ***,experimental photon spectroscopy,finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO_(2),as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky *** from these merits,several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set,including the capacity of 276 mAh g^(−1)at 0.2 A g^(−1)under illumination,photoconversion efficiency of 1.276%at 3 A g^(−1),less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 *** results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.

It has been shown clinically that continuous removal of ischemia/reperfusion-induced reactive oxygen species is not conducive to the recovery of late ***,previous studies have shown that excessive increases in hypochlorous acid after stroke can cause severe damage to brain *** previous studies have found that a small amount of hypochlorous acid still exists in the later stage of stroke,but its specific role and mechanism are currently *** simulate stroke in vivo,a middle cerebral artery occlusion rat model was established,with an oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation model established in vitro to mimic *** found that in the early stage(within 24 hours)of ischemic stroke,neutrophils produced a large amount of hypochlorous acid,while in the recovery phase(10 days after stroke),microglia were activated and produced a small amount of hypochlorous ***,in acute stroke in rats,hypochlorous acid production was prevented using a hypochlorous acid scavenger,taurine,or myeloperoxidase inhibitor,4-aminobenzoic acid *** results showed that high levels of hypochlorous acid(200μM)induced neuronal apoptosis after oxygen/glucose deprivation/***,in the recovery phase of the middle cerebral artery occlusion model,a moderate level of hypochlorous acid promoted the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons and *** suggests that hypochlorous acid plays different roles at different phases of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** levels of hypochlorous acid(5 and 100μM)promoted nuclear translocation ofβ-*** transfection of single-site mutation plasmids,we found that hypochlorous acid induced chlorination of theβ-catenin tyrosine 30 residue,which promoted nuclear ***,our study indicates that maintaining low levels of hypochlorous acid plays a key role in the recovery of neurological function.

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy (MHA) was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypoeutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

The method of nonlinear finite element reliability analysis (FERA) of slope stability using the technique of slip surface stress analysis (SSA) is studied. The limit state function that can consider the direction of slip surface is given, and the formula-tions of FERA based on incremental tangent stiffness method and modified Aitken accelerating algorithm are developed. The limited step length iteration method (LSLIM) is adopted to calculate the reliability index. The nonlinear FERA code using the SSA technique is developed and the main flow chart is illustrated. Numerical examples are used to demonstrate the efficiency and robustness of this method. It is found that the accelerating convergence algorithm proposed in this study proves to be very efficient for it can reduce the iteration number greatly, and LSLIM is also efficient for it can assure the convergence of the iteration of the reliability index.
