Background The aim of this study was to review current delivery room(DR)resuscitation intensity in Chinese tertiary neonatal intensive care units and to investigate the association between DR resuscitation intensity and short-term outcomes in preterm infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks gestation age(GA).Methods This was a retrospective cross-sectional *** source population was infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks'GA who were enrolled in the Chinese Neonatal Network 2019 *** infants were categorized into five groups:(1)regular care;(2)oxygen supplementation and/or continuous positive airway pressure(O2/CPAP);(3)mask ventilation;(4)endotracheal intubation;and(5)cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).The association between DR resuscitation and shortterm outcomes was evaluated by inverse propensity score-weighted logistic *** Of 7939 infants included in this cohort,2419(30.5%)received regular care,1994(25.1%)received O,/CPAP,1436(18.1%)received mask ventilation,1769(22.3%)received endotracheal intubation,and 321(4.0%)received CPR in the *** maternal age and maternal hypertension correlated with a higher need for resuscitation,and antenatal steroid use tended to be associated with a lower need for resuscitation(P<0.001).Severe brain impairment increased significantly with increasing amounts of resuscitation in DR after adjusting for perinatal *** strategies vary widely between centers,with over 50%of preterm infants in eight centers requiring higher intensity *** Increased intensity of DR interventions was associated with increased mortality and morbidities in very preterm infants in *** is wide variation in resuscitative approaches across delivery centers,and ongoing quality improvement to standardize resuscitation practices is needed.

On the Structure of Graded λ-Hopf Algebras

Let G be an abelian group, B the G-graded λ-Hopf algebra with A being a bicharacter on G. By introducing some new twisted algebras （coalgebras）, we investigate the basic properties of the graded antipode and the structure for B. We also prove that a G-graded λ-Hopf algebra can be embedded in a usual Hopf algebra. As an application, it is given that if G is a finite abelian group then the graded antipode of a finite dimensional G-graded A-Hopf algebra is invertible.

Degenerate Orbit Flip Homoclinic Bifurcations with Higher Dimensions

Bifurcations of a degenerate homoclinic orbit with orbit flip in high dimensional system are studied. By establishing a local coordinate system and a Poincare map near the homoclinic orbit, the existence and uniqueness of 1-homoclinic orbit and 1-periodic orbit are given. Also considered is the existence of 2-homoclinic orbit and 2-periodic orbit. In additon, the corresponding bifurcation surfaces are given.

Advances on Seed Vigor Physiological and Genetic Mechanisms

Seed vigor is a more promising seed quality character reflecting potential seed germination, field emergence and seed storage ability under different conditions than standard germination. Standard germination is influenced by genetic background and environmental effects during seed development and storage conditions. The latest research on physiological mechanism in seed vigor showed that at the late stage of seed development, the development of seed vigor involves some stress-resistant substances including late embryogenesis abundant （LEA） protein, oligosaccharides and abscisic acid （ABA）. Whereas the loss of seed vigor, or seed aging and deterioration, could be attributed to lipid peroxidation, chromosome deformation and genes aberrance, and embryo protein degradation, etc. Seed vigor is a quantitative character controlled by multi-genes. Genetic and quantitative trait locus （QTL） analyses on seed-vigor trait in model plants, such as Arabidopsis and rice, are mostly concentrated on related morphology traits, whereas few physiological traits have been researched. It was concluded that, all of the QTL genetic characteristics of seed vigorincluding QTL quantities, its locus on chromosome, genetic effects, and interaction effects between genetic and environment, differed with plant species and used seed-vigor traits.

Short-term effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on sleep bruxism-a pilot study

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation （rTMS） on patients with sleep bruxism （SB）. Twelve patients with SB were included in an open, single-intervention pilot study, rTMS at 1 Hz and an intensity of 80% of the active motor threshold was applied to the ‘hot spot＇ of the masseter muscle representation at the primary motor cortex bilaterally for 20 rain per side each day for 5 consecutive days. The jaw-closing muscle electromyographic （EMG） activity during sleep was recorded with a portable EMG recorder at baseline, during rTMS treatment and at follow-up for 5 days. In addition, patients scored their jaw-closing muscle soreness on a 0-10 numerical rating scale （NRS）. Data were analysed with analysis of variance. The intensity of the EMG activity was suppressed during and after rTMS compared to the baseline （P = 0.04; P = 0.02, respectively）. The NRS score of soreness decreased significantly during and after rTMS compared with baseline （P 〈 0.01）. These findings indicated a significant inhibition of jaw-closing muscle activity during sleep along with a decrease of muscle soreness. This pilot study raises the possibility of therapeutic benefits from rTMS in patients with bruxism and calls for further and more controlled studies.
