Childhood inguinal herniorrhaphy is one common cause of seminal tract obstruction. Vasovasostomy （VV） can reconstruct seminal deferens and result in appearance of sperm and natural pregnancy in some patients. Secondary epididymal obstruction caused by a relatively long-term vasal obstruction is a common cause of lower patency compared with VV due to vasectomy in adults. From July 2007 to June 2012, a total of 62 patients, with history of childhood inguinal herniorrhaphy and diagnosed as obstructive azoospermia were treated in our center. The overall patency rate and natural pregnancy rate were 56.5% （35/62） and 25.8% （16/62）, respectively. 48.4% （30/62） of the patients underwent bilateral VV in the inguinal region, with a patency rate of 76.7% （23/30） and a natural pregnancy rate of 36.7% （11/30）, respectively. 30.6% （19/62） of the patients underwent bilateral VV and unilateral or bilateral vasoepididymostomies due to ipsilateral epididymal obstruction with the patency and natural pregnancy rate decreasing to 63.2% （12/19） and 26.3% （5/19）. 21.0% （13/62） of the patients merely underwent vasal exploration without reconstruction due to failure to find distal vasal stump, etc. Our study indicate that microsurgical reanastomosis is an effective treatment for some patients with seminal tract obstruction caused by childhood inguinal herniorrhaphy.

The paper analyzes the radon data of nearly two decades on the Jiayuguan fault zone,discusses the main influencing factors,and puts forward the relationship between radon and air temperature,ground temperature and *** summarized the earthquake reflecting effect for ML≥5.0 about 400km within the Jiayuguan station,and reached the conclusion that it has better earthquake-reflecting ability before an earthquake,usually appearing as abnormal changes in sustained low *** extracting the annual trend of radon in Jiayuguan station over many years,we discovered that the annual trend of radon has a close relationship with the seismic activity in surrounding areas,namely,if the annual variation of radon is larger,the seismic activity in surrounding areas is stronger;Otherwise,if the annual variation of radon is relatively stable,the seismic activity in the vicinity is weak.

Cytokeratin-positive interstitial reticulum cells （CIRCs） are considered to represent a subset of fibroblastic reticulum cells （FBRCs） belonging to accessory dendritic cells in lymph nodes, the spleen and tonsils.1-3 The tumors arising from CIRCs are so rare that they are easily misdiagnosed as tumors originating from other accessory dendritic cells, myofibroblasts or even metastatic poor-differentiated carcinomas due to their similar histomorphologic features. We report herein one new case of a CIRC tumor （CIRCT） located in the retroperitoneum and analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics, pathogenesis, treatment and prognosis by reviewing the literature.

Photodynamic therapy （PDT） is a relatively new treatment modality. Clinical PDT procedure involves the administration of a photosensitizer followed by local illumination with visible light of a specific wavelength. In the presence of molecule oxygen, the light illumination of photosensitizer can lead to a series of photochemical reactions and consequently generate a variety of cytotoxic species. The nature, location and quantity of PDT-induced cytotoxic species and the sensitivity of the target cells determine the outcome of a PDT treatment.

Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin and endocrine horm one, and it impacts various bone and extra-bone health, such as osteoporosis, diabetes, and cancer. The main circulating form of vitamin D is 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] and it is a useful clinical biomarker of vitamin D status. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) defines as vitamin D deficiency (VDD) when serum 25(OH)D concentration is less than 20 ng/mL⑴.Worldwide, VDD is recognized as a severe public health problem. In 2007, Holick estimated that globally over one billion people suffered from VDD or vitamin D insufficiency (VDI). In China, it has bee n reported that the prevale nee of VDD ranged from 38.8% to 91.2% in different regions.

Background: Oncogenic insulin-like growth factor-II(IGF-II) is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). The present study aimed to analyze the dynamic alteration of IGF-II CpG site methylation status and its molecular mechanism in HCC progression. Methods: IGF-II alterations were observed in rat hepatocarcinogenesis models induced by 2-acetylaminofluorene. Liver IGF-II expression was compared by immunohistochemistry or tissue IGF-II specific concentration(nmol/mg protein). Status of human IGF-II promoter 3(P3) or rat IGF-II P2 CpG site methylation was amplified by methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction(MSP). Serum IGF-II levels were quantitatively detected by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: The levels of hepatic IGF-II expression were significantly elevated in the HCC group( P < 0.001). The unmethylation rate of IGF-II P3 CpG sites was 100% in the HCC-, 52.5% in the paracancerous-, and none(0%) in the distal noncancerous-tissues. Abnormal IGF-II expression was related to differentiation degree, tumor invasion, and positive HBV-DNA(all P < 0.001), with a negative correlation between P3 methylation degree and IGF-II expression. There was a positive correlation between liver IGF-II specific concentration and circulating IGF-II level( r = 0.97, P < 0.001). Significantly negative correlation was found between IGF-II P2 CpG site methylation and circulating IGF-II( r s =-0.89, P < 0.001) or liver IGF-II level( r s =-0.84, P < 0.001). Conclusions: The increase of serum IGF-II and the alteration of oncogenic gene IGF-II methylation may be biomarkers for HCC diagnosis and DNA methylation may be the therapeutic target of HCC.

Objective： To study the effect and implication ofnonmyeloablative donor specific bone marrow （DSBM） infusion on the immunoreaction of liver allotransplantation. Methods： Orthotopic liver transplantation model was used in this study. Groups were set as follows： Group I, syngeneic control （Wistar-to-Wistar）; Group II, acute rejection （SD-to-Wistar）; Group III, acute rejection treated with cyclosporine A （CsA） by intramuscular injection （SD-to-Wistar＋CsA）; Group IV, bone marrow infusion at 7 d pretransplantation followed by short-term CsA treatment （SD-to-Wistar＋DSBM）; Another group of short-term CsA treatment preoperatively without bone marrow infusion was also set as control. General characteristics and survival time were observed. Histological grades of rejection were determined by pathological examination. IL-2 and IFN-7 level in peripheral blood and donor liver were detected respectively by Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay （ELISA） and Western blot. Chimerism of donor cells was measured by PCR for a male-specific marker （Y-chromosome-specific sequence, Sry）. Results： No signs of rejection were found in Group Ⅰ. Acute rejection occurred in both Group Ⅱ and the short-term CsA treated group. All the recipients died at （9-15） d posttransplantation with a median survival time of （10.7i0.5） d and （11.2±2.4） d, respectively. Only mild rejection could be seen in Group Ⅲ. In Group Ⅳ, 4 out of 6 recipients had long-term survival （〉100 d）, the histological grade of rejection was significantly lower than that of Group Ⅱ, so did the expression level of IL-2 and IFN-7 in both peripheral blood and grafted liver. Y-chromosome-specific sequence （Sry） of male SD rats could be detected in the bone marrow, spleen and thymus of female recipients at 15 d after bone marrow infusion. Conclusion： Mild preconditioning nonmyeloablative donor specific bone marrow infusion can enhance chimerism formation in recipients, alleviate the rejection of liver allotransplantation and prolong survival
