Five(Ni52.5Mn23.5Ga24)100-xCox(x = 0,2,4,6,8) alloys were prepared by arc melting,and the effects of Co addition on the martensitic phase transformation,crystal structure and magnetization were *** phase transformation temperatures Ms,Mf,As and Af are proportional to the content of Co in the(Ni52.5Mn23.5Ga24)100-xCox alloys,which appears to be due to the variation in the valance electron *** Curie temperature is sensitive to the composition of the *** the amount of Co changes,both the Co-Mn exchange interaction and the distance between Mn atoms ***,in turn,affect the Curie temperature and magnetization behavior of the *** martensite phases in all the alloys are domained in three different orientations,the domain boundary was determined to belong to the family of {112} lattice planes.

In the context of a sudden contraction plug conduit,the near-wall area experiences a significant shearing effect of water flow,however,the extent to which this shearing effect occurs in bubble-water flow and the related variation mechanisms of air bubble size and number remain *** study employs a model test method to investigate the diffusion process of bubble-water flow in a sudden contraction plug *** size and number of bubbles,as well as their distribution along the shearing section under varying initial air volume conditions,are studied in detail using a high-speed image acquisition *** experimental findings reveal a self-similar relationship between the number and size of bubbles and their cross-sectional distribution over *** bubble number and size vary in three stages,i.e.,quasi-suspension,shearing,and shearing completion *** direction perpendicular to the conduit exhibits peak values in bubble number distribution over the three stages,with peak value location varying with the near-wall *** time progresses,the peak value increases,and a larger initial air volume corresponds to a smaller distance of the peak value location from the *** size of air bubbles near the wall is consistent with the minimum diameter of air bubbles in shear flow and is hardly affected by the initial air *** results aid in comprehending the change law of two-phase water and air flow under a strong shearing effect in the plug conduit,and provide useful insights for hydraulic design in fluid engineering.

A CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy with a high content of carbon was synthesized,and its hot deformation behavior was studied at the temperatures 800-1000℃at the strain rates ranging from 0.001 to 0.1s^-***-prepared alloy is a face-centered cubic-structured solid solution,with a large amount of carbides residing at grain *** stress-strain curves were employed to develop the constitutive equation of apparent activation *** apparent activation energy(Q)was found to be 423 kJ mol^-1,indicating a dynamic flow softening behaviThe size of dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains increases with increasing the temperature or decreasing the strain rate.A processing map was sketched on the basis of the flow *** temperature range of 900-1000℃and 10^-3-10^-2 6 s^-1 strain rate were found to be the optimum hot-forging *** increasing temperature or decreasing strain rate,the volume fraction of fine carbides(≤1μm)increases.A lot of coarse carbides can be found in the matrix after deformation at 800℃,which leads to a high hardness value of 345 *** carbides after deformation at 1000℃are mainly nano-sized M7C3 and M23C6,which can promote the nucleation of DRX.

BACKGROUND Acute liver failure(ALF) has a high mortality varying from 80% to 85% with rapid progress in multi-organ system failure. Bioartificial liver(BAL) support systems have the potential to provide temporary support to bridge patients with ALF to liver transplantation or spontaneous recovery. In the past decades, several BAL support systems have been conducted in clinical trials. More recently,concerns have been raised on the renovation of high-quality cell sources and configuration of BAL support systems to provide more benefits to ALF models in preclinical *** To investigate the characteristics of studies about BAL support systems for ALF,and to evaluate their effects on *** Eligible clinical trials and preclinical experiments on large animals were identified on Cochrane library, PubMed, and EMbase up to March 6, 2019. Two reviewers independently extracted the necessary information, including key BAL indicators, survival and indicating outcomes, and adverse events during treatment. Descriptive analysis was used to identify the characteristics of the included studies, and a meta-analysis including only randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies was done to calculate the overall effect of BAL on mortality among humans and large animals, *** Of the 30 selected studies, 18 were clinical trials and 12 were preclinical experiments. The meta-analysis result suggested that BAL might reduce mortality in ALF in large animals, probably due to the recent improvement of BAL, including the type, cell source, cell mass, and bioreactor, but seemed ineffective for humans (BAL vs control: relative risk(95% confidence interval),0.27(0.12-0.62) for animals and 0.72(0.48-1.08) for humans)liver and renal functions, hematologic and coagulative parameters, encephalopathy index, and neurological indicators seemed to improve after BAL, with neither meaningful adverse events nor porcine endogenous retrovirus *** BAL may reduce

Developing high-yielding rice(Oryza sativa L.)cultivars depends on having a better understanding of nitrogen(N) accumulation and translocation to the ear during the reproductive *** experiments were carried out to evaluate the genetic variation for N accumulation and translocation in different Japonica rice cultivars at different N rates and to identify any relationship to grain yield in southeast *** Japonica cultivars with similar agronomic characteristics were grown at two experimental sites in 2004 with three N rates of 0,60,and 180 kg N ha^(-1).Dry weights and N contents of rice plants were measured at tillering,initiation,anthesis,and *** yields exhibited significant differences (Plication *** N rates improved N uptake at anthesis and maturity in all four cultivars(Plinear to N uptake at anthesis(r^2=0.78^(**))and N translocation(r^2=0.67^(**)).Thus,cultivars with a high N uptake at anthesis,low residual N in the straw at maturity,and appropriate low N fertilizer supply in southeast China should efficiently increase N-recovery rate while maintaining grain yield and soil fertility.
